Recentely my Qtek 9090 screen broke and now I am in the need to find a spare part .
According to http://www.pocketpctechs.com/ need only the Touchscreen but it's real hard to find .
This link http://www.gethightech.com/ an O2 screen .
I disassembled almost all the qtek and I woul like to know :
1) how disassemble the glass from the LCD ?
2) who sells the spare parts at a human price ?
Thanks for answers
Ciao from Italy
Cia Gbrand, come stai?
Try reading the WIKI BA Technical
You will find the answer to your questions there.
I posted them myself.
Folow the link:

Best regards,
Lcds differences
Thanks to Kevlar-Source there is now a disassembly procedure at
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=DIS_BA
The fact is that after installing a nre Lcd screen from PDASMART the screen is completely blank , even if the Qtek seems to work , lights sounds etc
There are differences between the two LCD , I am attaching a picture hoping someone will find the cause of the problem ...
Ciao !!
There is something I would tell to Forum :
Recently my screen broke , after a research I found www.pdasmart.com had the spare part for my Qtek .
At http://www.pdasmart.com/pdaphonexda2s.htm they advertise the part will fit for XDA IIs / Sx66 / pda2k / MDA III / 9090 / PPC-6600 pda/phone.
So I assumed this was the right part for me and ordered it .
After recedived it on 13 October I realized that the new screen was not working on my Qtek .
Everything else was working , lights , programs through SOTI but not the screen .
I wrote them a Mail asking for assistance , NO ANSWER to date .
I posted here at xda-developers.com and after some work found out what u can read at :
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BlueangelLCD
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BlueangelBoardIDs
Now, I applied today at PDASMART for an RMA of the LCD , I'm not sure they will answer .
In conclusion ,
Whatch out for BA LCD replacement and make sure it's the right part for your Board
whatch out for PDASMART.COM who sells too easily parts without knowing exactly what they are for !
not sure if it was my link, but i linked to that site a while back, i never got the chance to order one from the site, i prob wont now, but hey man, im sorry if its my fault.
[EDIT] i just had a look at the site, if you cant get intouch with them by email, why not try giving them a call???, i know america is a little pricey to call, but so is like 60 quid for a screen that wont work, its worth a go!!
I don't think u have to feel guilty for posting the address , but PDASMART should for shipping Sony LCD without knowing that Qtek can have 2 different boards and 2 differend LCDs .
the fact is that often a broken screen means 300 € repair and weeks of time repairing for an object u can find at 500 € on the web , that's really too much !
It seems that HTC is not very good in after sales , other brands like Palm or Ipaq are like open books for users , HTC devices seems to come from an other misterious planet , That's why this Forum exists and is so popular .
I just was unlucky , without knowing I had a possibility out of two and I picked up the wrong one !
But I am still waiting for an answer from PDASMART , I will not phone them , I think I have the right to be contacted by them after buying 225 USD + shipping for an LCD that does not work on my QTEK !
Still waiting , I will be patient for a while then I'll see what to do .
Anyway thanks for the answer !
PDASMART Horror Story
PDASMART shouldn't be trusted.
They held my PDA for over 2 months - never contacted me and never shipped it back when they determined that they couldn't fix it - even though I paid for shipping already!
Use someone else.
Hi friends,
I'd love to buy a TYTN II or tilt (would also consider TYTN I as wel). If any of you have a good phone without dents, scratches ect. I shall be keen. Pls PIM me your quote . I use paypal. good day.

Hello 2 all
As far as i was pleased with my BA's i was unfortunate everytime with their screen. That's why i sell them both for spare parts .They are full package, but without displays ,and on the XDA IIs I've lost the vibration. The one is XDA IIs and the other ORANGE SPV M2000.If somebody is interested write a line and propose a price because i have no idea how much does they worth.
P.S.I'm not sure that i've posted this where i should have .Hope not to get deleted
i need orange spv m2000.and the thing is ur u tell us the price or place it on ebay for bidding.
Hi m interseted to buy both of them , please if u can tell me they work or not ,, and how much is the price , and if u can upload me some Foto ,,,
e.g. i live i n egypt ,, how u can deliver them to me ?
i don t know about all this shipping stuff
Thanks
i'll post photos these days ,just to get my camera.both phones work ,just the displays cracked.Tried to make from the 2 displays one and at the end i threw both screens out because it turned out that they were different models . I haven't posted them on ebay because i don't have account there and i'm not very fammiliar with it.I live in bulgaria ,50km away from xplode so you can ask him about me if you have any concernes. Regarding the delivery i don't think it would be a problem but the shipment will be paid by the buyer. For actual price i really don't have a clue so any proposals are accepted. If you can't offer me a price i'll look through internet and post a price these days
Added pictures:
skype: predator1003
the white one for now stays for me .the black one is sold for 70E in condition showed in the picture
Hi, I would like to buy the camera unit. I´m in Colombia, I don´t know how could be the shipping but I really need that camera. Thanks a lot.
hmmmm..nice. Can you sell all the hardware keys to me?
Ok so here's the story:
Got my HTC Diamond (unlocked version) back in June 2008 for about $700 USD.
Few months later the backlight stops working and it gives me the microp version mismatch error.
I send it in to HTC for repairs, a month later I get it back, working again.
Now I've had the phone back for about a month, and today I turn on the phone and guess what: NO BACKLIGHT! When it finally does boot up (without the backlight) it gives me the MicroP version mismatch error AGAIN.
What a piece of junk. In less than one year this phone has died twice on me. I still have old sony and nokia phones from 6 or 7 years ago that work 100%, yet my HTC Diamond has died twice in less than a year?
I'll never buy another HTC phone. </rant>
That sucks that you of all people ended up getting the 1/100000 lemons out of the factory. I've gone through a few HTC's and have NEVER had a problem with them, as I'm sure not many have.
I'd give it another chance if it was me, god knows I love WinMo.
yeah...well i just called HTC repairs again. they said they will pay to have it shipped back to them for repairs, again.
hopefully it doesn't take too long...
i still think it's funny that the crappy free phones i have from years ago still work great, but this $700 phone keeps breaking on me! grrrrrr
It's because those 'cheap crappy phones' have 1-10 components inside, whereas the Diamond has 10x that (g-sensor,gps,wifi,etc) so there's so much more possibility of something breaking.
I think you've just been very unlucky, I've owned tones of phones and not one of them has ever failed on me.
I would suggest that if your Diamond fails again (touch wood it doesn't ) demand a new one as replacement, as it's probably beyond repair.
Bad luck for you.
I ve had HTC devices for about 4 years and never ever had a problem. I even dropped my HTC Wizard twice and stepped on It. And it still works !!!!
So Go and buy a Iphone
sony and nokia phones ... how many? why changing to htc if your phoneS works 100%? work both phoneS together 100% (sony 30% and nokia 70%).
i was the master of making a phone unflashable and unusable.
1. prophet: soundproblem ... after looking inside and try to repair = death
2. artemis: during flashing pull usb-cable = never starts again
2.1 artemis: after more than 100 try-flashing for reanimation the resetbutton gone to god
3. eten x800: 2 days old in germany, no roms, try something like x500 udlr = unflashable since today but function o.k.
4. diamond: 1 day - 1 hour - first think was flashing. it flyes with me to Turkey, drinks water, fly to wall (2 times), flashing and cooking, i think i would marry it.
today its a htc what you never buy, tomorrow its a palm and the day after its an other phone. do what you want and have fun with your new never-want-buy-xyz-phone ....
my oppinion is: i cant understand why you posting here ... ?

I agree with this comment! After two attemps at resolving the same issue, any manufacturer should replace the handset completely.
Best of Luck
i must say
only had HTC phones since 2002
not once has one broke down on me....
i have dropped a few....but thats me....not the phone
HTC the only one !
I´m a big fan of HTC. Now i have a Diamond. Earlier: qtek, nokia, motorola, soyericson and more....

2.4 artemis: 100% no problems !!!
3.1 send x800 earpiece for spend somebody and used for me an earpiece from an old handy. 100% no problems !!!
i hope, in future i can write

im interested in that too, my phone does the exact same, and a friends.
is there any "home solution"
My Diamond broke twice during the first 2 months (overheated and wi-fi became dysfunctional). A friend's Diamond overheated so much whilst navigating that it broke too.
I've had mine for almost a year now but my next one will definitely be an IPhone. My Diamond has been immature and unstable from the beginning, requiring third-party software and registry patches for basic functionality like setting touchscreen sensitivity and the integration of the address book into the phone user interface is just moronic. Scrolling is plain awkward in TF3D, nothing like the smooth control you have on the Iphone.
My first HTC was a Qtec S200 and it was better in every respect except that it lacked GPS. More robust, better battery life, better GSM sensitivity, better wifi range, better touchscreen sensitivity. Solid as a brick.
