Well, since most of the beta testing team is really busy, I thought it would be ok that I post my newest build of WM6.1 T-Mobile Edition as a public beta to get more feedback:
Features:
All the T-mobile bloatware!
NEO interface
All WM6.1 features except sliding homescreen
Working portrait camera!
Problems:
Sliding homescreen doesn't work
MyFaves locks up homescreen - Recommended to disable this
When Messaging tab is enabled it kills neo interface
Installation:
If on T-Mobile ROM:
Run CID Unlocker.exe and then run window mobile 6.1.exe
If on custom ROM:
Run windows mobile 6.1.exe
DISCLAIMER: This build still has many bugs and quirks that a lot of people do not want to deal with. This test is meant for people who understand this and are willing to give some type of feedback or suggestion that will push this rom closer to release.
NOTE: If there is a non-working neo tab, you will need to use a registry editing program to disable the tab.

Yeah, a lot of bugs. no home screen at all. Favorites at PIE sends me to windows folder in file explorer,mms after trying send new stuck. I cant unlock it, have to reboot phone.
neo works if you disable CMessageNeo plugin in registry. I forgot to make the change. I'll make the change and reupload the version.
what about slide theme?

if mms doesnt work you can just edit it yourself using his guide on the developers version of this rom.
one of the bugs i found was when sending/receiving an mms message the home screen would no longer be accessible. it would freeze on the message and i would have to restart phone.
also my wifi does not work...
Upgrade assistance
Hi there - I'm currently at the tri-color bootloader screen and am at a loss of what to do next to recover.
I ran cidunlocker, which had an error, but seemed to work. Screen went to black then white then nothing. I power cycled & it came up normally. So I continued.
I then ran the upgrade exe. It ran for a bit, the screen cycled to the boot loader, but nothing happened afterwards. Now on poweron, I get only the bootloader.
If I try to run the utility again, the screen turns to a progress bar (only) that stays at 0%.
I'm assuming that this is a fairly simple fix, given that the bootloader still works, I'm just not sure what it is. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If the CIDLocker had an error, then maybe you didn't application unlock your phone first. Did you?
If I were you, I would download the T-Mobile Update from tmobileshadow.com.
Then hit the two soft reset buttons and press the power button, you'll get the tri color flash mode screen.
From there, run the t-mobile update exe from your compter and follow the on screen directions.
Once your phone is running again. Do an application unlock, Cid unlock, and then flash your phone with the t-mobile beta edition. Though I really rec you to use the 1.0 Developer edition.

Looks like the problem was with my running of the cid tool.
i'd suggest adding in something along the lines of "Run supercid.exe, ignore the directive to reboot your phone, instead hit ok at the dos box. When your phone turns white, run the upgrade utility (while the phone is still white)"

Also, if there are any known fixes or workarounds for these issues (esp the slider screen ones), please point me in the right direction!

I'm still using your original version which after a few tweaks works fine. Other than having to possibly tweak it (1.1 beta) more to get bugs fixed, which I don't have, are there any significant improvements to this 1.1 beta version? I always hated the neo theme as well as my faves and do not want to mess with this beta which apparently has now added them back.
If your revised rom has improvements as well as fixes for some of the above I would happily test it.

Yes, I'm monitoring this thread. Thanks for all the feedback! I've been busy again with a competition and haven't had time to modify the ROM. Don't worry, all of your input will be taken into producing a better test rom.
I've been collaborating with some people trying to get NEO on wm6.1 on other devices and they're having the same problems as well. Just a heads up, I'm pretty sure there will still be some buggy things until I can get the shadow 2 rom that has all the modified dlls for both sliding panel and neo.
Quick question, what's new/fixed in the "Clean Dev Rev1.1 BETA 1" that you have listed in your signature? Does the CMessage panel work in that version?
Great work on the first Clean Dev btw, I really enjoy 6.1 thanks. I just took the plunge on Friday and of course I find out you have a new version coming after I spent hours tweaking it lol.

Well If you enterd this thread, You probley figured out that we have a 6.1 T-mobile edition rom thanks to ND4SPD. How ever at the moment it is limited to a small group to test. At the same time I hate using the PM system when multiple ppl are testing anything. So I made a thread were WE (the TESTERS) can discuss and post fixes for this rom so we can get it released to you (THE PUBLIC) soon. What I have found so far..
1. HOME Messages Tab crashes NEO when enabled.
Installing my cab of 4.0 Arcsoft mms did not help this problem.
2. HOME My Faves App does not work, but My Faves settings will run.
I have not tryed to fix this.
3. HOME Notification Tab does not open the text its notifing you of nor does it dismiss the text by pressing dismiss
I have not tried to fix this
4. HOME Wap Shortcuts cannot find winwap or one of its components.
I think adding regisrty values for clinks instead of using the guid will fix this.
5. HOME Settings tab doesnt include battery display
Figured out why but dont have a fix. Im missing HKCR
6. Start Menu Recent Programs includes 2 shortcuts that do not work (Instant Messaging.lnk and Task Manager)
In conveinence untill you open 9 programs to get these off recent programs. These programs work when using the shortcuts in "all programs"
7. PIE Favorites & History when clicked open file explorer. instead of drop down menu.
I havnt looked into this. How ever ive had the problem before and its usually the html file being used.
8. WAP BROWSER says my homepage is unavalible (but the default t-mobile rom told me this as well)
I dont know if this is just my phone, Feedback needed.
9. UNLOCK SCREEN still does not show clock and date when set to
Seems like we are going to have alot of fun with this one.
10. HOME Getting Started is not displayed.
Simple menu added to the registry for neo will fix this.
11. PHONE Can not initiate call by dialing number and hitting send key. (have to hit center button on D-Pad)
I have no clue were to start looking on this one.

The battery in the settings tab is not showing up due to the ID in the registry {634CA962-22D8-4671-BBC7-BAC47148A4B6}, When its switched to the wifi ID wifi status shows up on line 2 but the battery is displayed in the settings tab and opens power.exe when clicked. But when switched back to {634CA962-22D8-4671-BBC7-BAC47148A4B6} the battery display dissapears.

The html coding is causing the favorites and history drop downs from displaying correctly. This reg edit will fix this issue simply by using the default windows mobile homepage. wich is the same page but not skinned by t-mobile

shadowmike one of the biggest problems I am having is it locks up on the home page and did you nodes win going in to
internet explorer and hitting favorites or history it brings you to the windows folder
I think there are two ways of solving the problems:
The Easy Way:
Just use the wm6 OEM files and use all wm6.1 SYS files except CHome and ConfettiCore
This will get a working rom quickly but the problems we have now will still be there if we try making separate organized packages for each software.
The Hard Way:
Fix all these bugs one by one until assured to work and only then post a public rom. This means that the rom will take a longer time to release.
I prefer the hard way, but am open to the easy solution. What do you guys think.

Explain lockup ? as in freeze. And how do you get it to freeze ? Are you switching home screens and when you try to get to homescreen you cant ? what apps are you running on the rom ?

it just freezes by scrolling down it .well as there is so many bugs I am running no apps and by lockup I mean the home screen freezes so you can't scroll it but you can go to start and to other app but the home screen stays locked till reboot are you having the same problem if not I will try to redownload it and reinstall it... nd4spd did you work the bugs out of the new way of installing from the T-Mobile rom if so I will give it a go and I would like to see a stabile T-Mobile wm6.1 rom with out neo first thin work on this but you are the cook not to say I would use it I like the clean wm6.1 I have......i would like to see UC (user customizable) 2.0 Capable in the clean rom

I have not had your "Freeze", however since the shadow is underpowered. when i switch homescreens if i dont hit end call or the home button before it starts to load the homescreen i have to restart. however this also happend in the official t-mobile rom.
Small bug I noticed is when you set your calendar view to default to month (say), it still only opens to agenda view.
Not quite sure what received from nd4spd means but with a few hacks this is a great rom.

It means he pm'ed a few ppl a link to a new 6.1 t-mobile NEO homescreen rom.
From what he told me it was not publicly released... so if he did not send you the link to this rom and you have it. somone leaked it... thats what it means. basicly. I dont want ppl that dont have this test rom to come in this thread and ask questions and make this thread 10 pages.

Yea Mike, what I been wanting is the original T-Mobile screen back.
After a month and a half with the TP, I really wanted a better locker. One that would if the phone were in a given position would lock the phone if I forgot to. I can't count the number of times that I made "Case calls" becuase my phone resumed while in my belt pouch. This application works much better for me than the others out there.
I am still working on the UI (it's a bit plain Jane at the moment, but before I clean up the look I'd really like to get some feedback on the application and Ideas for the final "look" of the application.
Here is version 0.1.0.10. the First stable public Beta.
Once G-Locker is loaded, if you turn the phone in a specific direction the locker will engage. Then with a "flick" of the wrist in the correct direction, it will unlock.
The initial defaults are:
To Lock: Turn the phone with either long side facing down (or gently flick to the side).
To Unlock: "Flick" the phone in a side to side direction.
To adjust the settings lock the phone then press the Settings Button (You have access to the button for 5 seconds before it disables)
Available settings:
Locking Direction
Unlocking Gesture
Locking Sensitivity (gives some control over phone angle required to lock)
Unlocking Sensitivity (Controls the acceleration force required to unlock)
Number of Seconds to wait before checking to relock the phone
Options to:
Lock the Phone on Suspend
Check if the phone should be locked on Resume
AutoStart (NOT IMPLEMENT AT THIS TIME)
Lock the Panel when Starting G-Locker
(sorry no documentation yet, it will be included in the next release.)

The software confused me... It only locks my taskbar and I really don't know how to unlock it. So I simply uninstall it (because my screen wasn't lock)
Between SensorLock and TouchLockPro, I prefer SensorLock, because it's more simple. If i can program, i would just go with SensorLock and add the option of light sensor lock and it will be a perfect software.
Eh. SensorLock didn't do it for me. I'd rather use TouchProLock because I just have to tap the center button 3 times to unlock it . I actually have PocketShield + TouchLock Pro. It replaced S2U2 + SensorLock. I don't use PocketShield as a lock really, more as a screen saver since it's simple and has notifications. It's easier for me to look at when I'm just checking my phone to see if I missed something.
Actually the Old adage "he who hesitates is lost" fits real well here. I started this project about 7 weeks ago (when I couldn't find anything on google regarding a sensor based locker). Unfortunately it sat on the back burner for the past 5 weeks while I worked on hunting down the power and heating issues I was having. Then I never really bothered to do another Google search (until today) seems there are a number of these out there. I have looked at sensorlock today, It is very configurable, but not really what I am looking for (More of If the phone is in a given position then lock it, I'll have to look at touch lock pro. At this point though I'm inclined to drop this project unless I really can't find something else that works (no need reinventing the wheel any further!)
(BTW, I disabled the full lock rountine (except for the taskbar) for the beta version so I would not have to do a soft reset ever time something didn't work correctly)
Should I decide to resume development, I'll post here then. Thanks for those that took a look at it.
Sensorlock is no longer developed and is not at all perfect, il'd use this over sensorlock if there was an option to only lock the touch screen on wakeup from call, which is broken in sensorlock
Dude! If only this could be integrated with TouchLockPro!!! I'd love you both! Might want t have a talk with ZuinigeRijder. He releases the source for TouchLockPro also. I really think that GLocker + TouchLockPro = best locker for g-sen phones on xda-dev

Apart from the official line heres what ive noticed (in twelve hours)
1. Sliding Bar answer on incoming calls
2. Text input keys are smaller so that you can actually see whats on the screen when youre writing (sic)
3. Ever so slight speed improvement on finger sliding
4. Video Call re-replaced with contacts (life saver)
5. Might just be me but the fonts seem sharper and slightly smaller.
6. Add a word in text messaging for example now gives a tick and a cross instead of "add"
Just random little things Ive noticed but as they say, its the little things that count eh!
no more flipping envelope when going to mail it's just there...
and some speed improvements, but in winmo only (not touchflo).

7. When connecting to PC via USB you get a 3rd choice - internet sharing (as well as active sync and disk drive)
8. HTC flo text message section now has a forward option as well as reply and delete - no need to view all messages to forward

Good luck - I had a bit of a scare with my upgrade last night - it stopped on 60% and told me the image file was corrupt. Worked second time though from the same file???
First bug: if you have activated a security PIN (like me) you can't block the phone keeping pressed the phone down button. The screen goes black for a fraction of second but the phone doesn't block.
Another thing I didn't notice before (so I'm not sure if it was the same in previous versions): you can add only 15 persons to your favorite contacts (the "Add to Favorites" buttons just disappears). BTW, is there any tweak to increase this limit?

The favourites has always annoyed me - you cant seem to change the order in which they appear and they look boring without a picture (IMO)!
There's also a new Java engine, better than the old one. At least better for Opera Mini 4.2, fonts are now bigger and easier to read.

My envelopes are flipping fine.... just as they always have!
And for anyone's who's interested; if you've been using any of the cooked ROM's which have been released recently, you won't notice any difference with this official release because the ROM cookers have been using v2.03 for weeks!
9. Agenda from home screen works correct now. Choose the view u'd like to see, (day, week, month whatever) and it will open up correctly right now, when opening Agenda from home screen.
10. When u select agenda or calls on the home screen, it will be selected by green. When u finished looking agenda or calls, and return to the home screen, the green selected option is gone, a clear screen with no green. (before the thing was always green when u turned back, it frustrated me )
Just 2 things i recognized!

when i receive a message and open it with tf3d i can't type prompt.
i have to move down the text to see the last message and then i have to put the cursor on the correct place.
Its a rom update but is it aswell a radio update?

As far I now Orange use a own brand rom and when you start using a other rom you will lose your waranty, ofcoarse you can get a other rom just ask someone here to upload it, but you can use than aswell a coocked rom.

A little bug that I found last night - I installed nadavvi-nadavvi-call-history cab - which installs an extra call history tab to the touchflo menu
Afterwards everytime i tried to access sms through touchflo i kept getting unexpected errors in manila.exe.
As soon as i uninstalled the call history tab sms started working again. Shame as i had this installed with the older rom with no probs and it is quite handy.
I've decided to do the upgrade tonight but I have a question:
All my apps are installed in the 4GB Internal Storage (Not the phone memory). Will the Internal Storage be viped out aswell during the upgrade?
If not, I guess all apps will be useless anyway since the registry is viped. Do you recommend uninstalling all the apps before the rom upgrade???

When you flash this ROM, it will come with the default Indigo theme, there is nothing wrong with this theme you can just switch to another theme afterwards! Also this ROM takes a while to load, it is 23XXX build which is newer and takes a while to load at first! When you get into OS you will be confronted with the OEM help screens, just skip through them, everything will be fine! I am still working on this ROM so I might post updated version soon

Remember that these builds are for testing purposes There will be bugs. This is a chance to try out the latest WM 6.5 builds on your Treo. I will make more builds and post them so you can try them . Just be patient while I build them.
ROM updated, download the new copy. Should be more stable and hopefully some bugs fixed.
Remember to change your regional settings after you boot! Settings > System > Regional Settings. Also set regional clock to h:mm:ss tt for 12HR time! Reboot all should be well
I have found this ROM to be very snappy. It works very well speed wise with no lag. Wait until the tutorial pops up and quickly go through it. Then it works perfectly. To lock the device, just press the white (fn) button and the end key. I understand that this build isnt perfect and am willing to deal with the small problems.
Warning: Back up cause I lost all my contacts and calendar info. Pretty much all my personnel data. Luckily i did backup.
UPDATE: This is talking about the ROM before navendrob did his first update.
UPDATE #2: The buttons settings do work. Had to soft reset a couple of times.
I dont know if this is just me but my phone wont boot into the OS after your new ROM. It could be that it got corrupted during the download and extraction can someone else check. I still have the original if you need it.

I'll take a look when I get home from work I just flashed it and it work OK for me.
On your first ROM, is there a way to disable the lock where you must press the center button. I use s2u2 and that is messing it up.

You can adjust brightness by going to Settings -> System -> Brightness
also, check the buttons setting for the fn+ok at Settings -> Personnel -> Buttons
I cant hang up calls either. The talk screen doesn't come up.
Moreover, on the time issue where it is at the 24-hour clock. I couldn't find that option in regional settings for English (US). The only time settings had a 24 hour clock. I switched it to English (Canada) and was able to just the time and date settings to match standard US formats. Hope this helps.

I am going to try another build and I'll exclude the auto-lock.
Also remember that our phone is over 2 years old and this isn't supposed to be on our phones so not everything will work correctly... until I fix them
I am actually expecting bugs. I am just trying to point them out so more talented people like you can fix them for others.

UPDATE: cannot see my SD card either?
I'll try soft resetting, is that done by pressing the reset button next to the SD card slot?

Try a soft reset. That fixes some bugs. I don't experience that problem at all though.
yup, cannot see sd card, even after resetting via the button next to the sd card slot. I will have to go back to previous timebomb fixed version for now

Attention everyone! I managed to port over 21828 OFFICIAL RELEASE tonight to our beloved Treo! Look for it the AM
This release is stable, fast, and smooth. It is the official release build (as far as I know). I managed to rip it from Topaz ROM and port it to our phone. I am excited about this!
Now to fix the stupid keys If anyone has a numeric key listing for the Treo keypad I could really use it!
Anyone know if there is a cab or a way I could get Notification Enhancement/manager 3.5.20113127.00. I've looked and looked, but can't find the right ones.
I know Energy rom, and Vetvito have it cooked into there newest roms, but I've had some probs running those on my phone (either battery drain or lock ups).

Looks like the Notification Enhancement is dependent upon one or more HTC packages that are fundamental to Touchflo/Sense. I got it to work on my clean Titanium 6.5.x build by randomly installing some "HTC Framework" & "Shared Resource" packages. Now I just need to do some orderly trial & error to determine what's actually needed.
Have a look in the Chef Central forum ... there's a tool called Dependency Walker that will speed up the "detective" work.

Thanks hilaireg, I looked over Dependency Walker but wasn't sure how it would work if all I have are cabs, and decided I could muddle my way through this faster than learning a new tool.
Anyway, here's what worked for me on a clean 6.5.x Titanium Alltel Touch Pro. This is in no way thorough or authoritative, and may in part be coincidence, but I just don't have more time to devote to it and it did get me the desired results:
1) Install francarl's Menu Enhancement & Loader (and .net compact framework 3.5 if not already installed)
2) Disable the Message Box option in francarl's configuration application if you get errors (you'll know it when you see it).
3) Install Pyrorob's Notification Enhancement related cabs (sorry, couldn't find a substantive thread with his links):

pyrorob Shared_Resource_1_0_19174125_00
pyrorob Notification_Enhancement_3_0_1920_2427
I also recommend resetting your phone between each cab in stall just to be safe. Other combinations of various cabs may also work, but I tried many, and this was the only combination that got me everything working on a VGA resolution. The only niggle so far is you can't select how long to snooze a reminder. I'm sure there's a fix for that somewhere, just haven't found it yet.
