Unable to start. Not enough memory is available - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I have a problem with running the TT7 software. Was working fine a couple of days ago then yesterday when I used it, i got this message: "Unable to start. Not enough memory is available"
It loads the TT splash screen then goes back into TF3D interface with the msgbox.
I have tried soft resetting and also hard resetting with the same problem.
Currently running TLR 2 ROM.
Storage
Total: 106.92
In Use: 53.78
Free: 53.14
Program
Total: 113.07
In Use: 67.82
Free: 45.25

Did you install the tomtom7 on the main memory or internal storage?
Storage
free: 78.76mb
Program
free: 53.83
I am using panosha light WWE

On the internal storage.
Does it need to be on main? Will give it a try.

Same problem here. Was working fine, for about 3 months, till this morning. Tried installing on main memory and internal storage, to no avail.
Any suggestions are welcome...

I have had the same problem with Garmin XT, i was under the impression that "Unable to start. Not enough memory is available" was talking about RAM and not Storage memory...
When i check memory usage is will say 85% but i have no programs open, is there a way to free up RAM without restarting?

I also have this error, but it is on a kaiser with a fresh install of wm 6.1 and 47% of RAM used. If somebody have fixes this problem...

How do i free up storage on Helmi WM5 Helmi editions?

in memory there used to be a toggle to adjust storage and program memory, my storage is almost 4MB i cannot install anything, although program memory is 53 MB
kindly any help will be appreciated
You cannot do that any more. It's a relic of when the storage space and the RAM were shared. The biggest problem was that if the phone lost power, you'd lose everything.
There is a RAM disk in many ROMs that essentially performs the same function. In WM5, the area once known as "Storage" in WM2003 is now the main file system. The rest is RAM, and 128 meg is a lot for this phone, so with a RAM disk some of it can be used to install programs. Like WM2003 however, this area is lost should you lose power completely.

WM6 Storage card issue???

Anyone got a fix for the storage card issue on WM6? I have 26MB free until I plug my card in and then it drops to 18MB free program memory...
i have 27,4 megs free and after plugging in sd card i get 25,2 free...
dont think thats an issue
free megs
without sd-card 29.7Mb
with sd-card 29.1mb
both after softreset
so indeed i don't think its is an issue. you might have a couple of programs installed on the sd-card instead of installing it on your wizard

I had that issue with faria's AKU3.3 (5MB less with card inserted) - no issues with WM6 for me...

Storage problem

Hi guys I have a problem. No matter what i choose when I install an application , it always takes some space from the device's internal storage which is actually small. And now I only have 3 MB available on the device's storage. I even got an error about not recieving smses due to the low memory.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Internal Storage as program memory

Hi i am using Noni GSPPlot and i would like to load very hi res maps into memory. But for something like that i need about 250MB of memory and the memory i have free is nowhere near that.
Do you know of a way i can instruct this program to use hte internal storage as the program memory?
That was an option with Windows Mobile 5. A feature that enabled the user to select Ram vs. Rom. Thus, this can no longer be done.
no
pre wm5 everything both app mem and storage were really just normal ram
and all storage was lost if one pulled the battery
with wm5 flash was used for storage
flash is cheap and keep it's data when power goes away
but flash have a limited number of writes it can do before it dies
kinda like cd-rw discs
and flash read and more so writes A LOT! slower then real memory
so if one could use storage for app mem
the flash would die pretty fast
and it would be soo slow it woud be pointles

[Q] Question about memory.

Hello!
Recently I bought my Trinity, and very satisfied with it, BUT
I have some problems with iGO 8.
Precisely my problem is the program memory.
When the phone is in idle, I have approx. 16-18 Mbytes of free program memory. It's enough for almost everything but not iGO 8.
If I try to plan a longer route, the program says not enough memory.
When I'm using it, every hour the phone simply resets itself.
Is there a solution for this, or a possibility to make more free program memory?
I'm using WM6.5. I've tried the WM6.1 ROMs also, but didn't get much more free memory, only 1-2 Mbytes more.

try another navi program,
i am using igo 2006+ and everything works fine...
The problem is that the newest maps work only with iGO 8.x.
