There are four versions available for download below. They include:
1) WM7 Standard Analog - Analog clock on the Now screen, single Contact page and no MRU page.
2) WM7 Standard Digital - Same as above except has a digital clock on the Now screen.
3) WM7 Professional Analog - Analog clock on the Now screen cycles with a Calendar page, 3 Contacts pages, and MRU page that cycles with the Launcher page.
4) WM7 Professional Digital - I think you get the idea.
For those that may be new to SPB Mobile Shell, please follow these instructions after installing SPB Mobile Shell:
1) Download and unzip the layout below of your choice.
2) Install the font file in the "Fonts" folder to your device in Windows\Fonts
3) Install all files in the "SPB Mobile Shell" to your device in Program Files\SPB Mobile Shell
4) Soft reset your device and enjoy your new phone!
Note: When using with MS v2.1.1 or higher, the status icon hot spots are slightly up and to the right of the icon. I have not found a fix for this yet with these icons.
This version is for QVGA(240x320) screens and is optimized for portrait mode but also supports landscape mode. See posts #2 and #3 for v2 with other screen resolutions.

Ultimate WM7 v2
Ultimate WM7 v2 for QVGA(240x320), WQVGA(240x400), 240x240 and 320x320 Square Screens.
The screenshot below shows darker than it looks on my screen. The backlighting really brings it out.
Screen resolutions other than QVGA I am not able to fully test because I only have a QVGA phone so please report any bugs and I will try to fix them.

These skins are memory hogs due to the amount of graphics involved. I don't have a phone to try them out on so try them out and use them if you can. If they cause problems, look for future skins that won't be so memory hungry.

Font size of operator name in Today is little bit bigger than in Launcher and Contacts. Could be adjusted?
first opinions of the theme...
The contacts pages are labeled backward, if you sweep right to left, like turning pages in a book, they come out as page 1, 3, 2, and back to 1
I understand the appearance of the "title bar", but if the header and title bar were a bit thinner, you could get the 4th row of icons back on the launcher and dialer.
The icon on the the launcher panel for PROGRAMS... I like the icon itself, but I think something similar to the start button graphic would be more appropriate
I love the blueness... Diamond was getting mundane, but it just seems that things are there just for the sake of being there.
Of course, I am a much better critic than artist. This looks awesome and with a few refinements, I'm sure this will be up with the greats both functionally and visually

I really liked how greatbal made the clock go to a calendar page instead of clock details in his layouts with MRU

these of course are just observations...take them or leave them, no matter what happens...this is the theme I am using right now...just great!

Thank you all for the feedback and keep it coming.
I don't have answers or fixes yet for all comments but I am saving notes on all feedback and will be making changes, bug fixes, etc. as time and talent allows. Be assured I am listening.
I would also like feedback on performance on your phone. The complex graphics of this theme and my limited knowledge with skinning may have resulted in a memory hog skin. I had some lockup problems in early versions. I hope that's not the case. It works smooth on my phone, but not all phones are alike.
And look for the possibility of different colored versions, hopefully including black.
I am also hoping to do a VGA version in the future as time allows but may have a problem with the graphics.
I really need someone who cam help clean up some of the graphics and also double the size of all for a VGA version that is not so pixilated.
As far as square screen support, the is a huge modification and will probably require the talents of a skinner who has experience with square screen phones.
This is a lot of work, even for the smallest of changes, so please be patient. My goal is to really make it The Ultimate WM7 theme, but quality takes time.

I have plans to try some different colors including black. Attached is a quick and dirty example of what it might look like. Of course I plan on putting more detail into an actual release, such as maintaining color in the launcher icons and adjusting the color of the calendar grid. This is just an example, not a final release.
VGA version will be really appreciated..graphics is not a problem as long as I can use WM7 skin

A new landscape carbon springboard and landscape black background were added to the package of graphics in the Portrait folder. The landscape theme calls on the graphics in the portrait folder.
- For best results, change the phatphinger layout display to "Phat(240x320)+145.wpl". Since adding the landscape it doesnt fit quite right, this layout size looks good in both portrait and fits well in landscape.

Theres very important installation instructions regarding the order of installing the apps, wa3, and wad.
Feel free to throw out a few icon requests if you need some custom icons made for your apps. Ive slimmed it all down to the bare essentials to be space saving and fast loading. Buttons are "tactile" for that feedback feeling, wa3 buttons are tactile as well, and nice loading animation created too. All icons are included as well.

Hi Torx,
This by far the best creation for iphone theme for WAD/WA3. This is far more stable than 0.3. and i am a fan of yours. I am on Wizard and this theme is running for last one week. Ofcourse its not full proof. after a day or day & half you need to re-boot the PPC as the memory is too low (this is more so a windows problem), sometime the system becomes very slow but regains the original form after 5-10 min without any apparant reasons, during this time CPU is 57-65% used. The battery drain is more with WAD/WA3 running. This may be taken care of by them.
One issue i want your help is how to back-up the current configiration and file so that if have to reset or update with new ROM then my theme can be restored with minimal efforts and tweaking.
Just wanted to say I have settled on this for my Hermes theme. It is a fantastic piece of software. I am still setting up my phone. Any M$Office icons to go with this?

You can set that up yourself. Add the empty clock icon from one of the themes, add custom text %T12% or %T24% (your choice) and you will have a working clock...
I notice the volume, battery and telco icons are not transparent when I try to change the background color. Can you make them transparent?
PS: this is e best iphone skin i have been searching for so long! thx!

Creating iPhone icons
I was hoping that someone could give me some guidance please on using the .psd templates for creating my own icons for Torx iPhone skin?
As an example of what I have done: I am using Gimp but am somewhat a novice user. I have loaded the icon for eWallet as one layer and overlaid the blank_template.psd file on top. This looks nearly correct and I get the lovely shading of the template over the top of the original icon but does not quite mask out the Torx button shape as the template would suggest. Instead each corner still has some grey pixels.
I save the image as a .png file then convert it to a .tga with AlphaConv.exe.
Loading the .tga file into WAD works fine but I still see the grey pixels in the corners so it is not a "clean" icon image. So near yet so far...
Does anyone have ideas of what else I need to do?

What do you use to do the skin? I'm using i780 (320x320) and would like to see if I can modify the screen larger. Someone with the i780 was reporting having issues having the font too small.
P/S: I know i780 comes with a qwerty keyboard, but sometimes a combination of keyboard and tapping on the screen is a lethal combination.
I use photoshop for the images and notepad for the settings file
turn the .skin file into a .zip file and you will find all the files you need to change!
I released a larger version .. see if that is what you were looking for

I dont get that... thats very odd.. maybe try a soft reset?
did you do this:
unzip contents of .zip onto desktop
move over to PCMKeyboard folder on device
select layout and skin in options?

I cant change how it looks in landscape mode (that is just how the keyboard software handles landscape)
In order to have capital letters I had to be able to hide the letters that the keyboard draws underneath the images, which meant I had to make the capital letters a square image to cover it.
The only problem is that the way the keyboard handles landscape, it uses the tile effect, meaning the white of the capital letters doesnt match..
cant really do anything about that..

I downloaded the the iphone keyboard not the big one but the regular one. In your photo I see the space bar with a comma to the left and a period to the right. the one I downloaded from this page does not have this the space bar is wider. also the number page is compleatly different. Do you have the original keyboard skinn the you have the screen shot of?

This theme has new topbar graphics and a new missed calls-icon that will come to snowwhite and free! theme with next update (This 3 sticker-iconsthemes use exactly the same xmls only the backgrounds are different)

I recommend to do this SETTINGS for your ppc:
(how to: open the xml or txt files with with "totalcommander", or on your PC with "windows Editor", make the following changes, choose "save" (NOT "save as.."), put xmls or txt files back in the theme folder of you PPC and restart todaylife.)
Edit the config.xml :
1. go down to "emaildefaultparam" and there you find:"freenet.de". Replace this with the name of your account.
2. go down to CalendarAction and set it to 1 (=default windows mobile Calendar) otherwise my settings open thumbcal !
3. go down to time format and change it to 12 or 24
4. go to SMS Action and set it to 0 if you don want to open pocketcm
5. you can do more changes (SMS Alarm settings/Lock-settings), they are explained in the xml !
6. change language in the appointments: open the portrait.xml and the landscape.xml . You will find this text:
<Today>Heute</Today>
<Tomorrow>Morgen</Tomorrow>
<AllDay>.....</AllDay>
<MultiDay>.....</MultiDay>
change this four words in this lines to any language
7. change the date format in both portrait.xml and landscape.xml: <Format>dddd, d. MMMM yyyy</Format>
8. add the name and path of you applications for the launcher in the "Applications.txt". Can be ".exe" or ".lnk" and works also with parameters.

2. how to install and what additional software do i need ?
- you need nothing more. i works with wm 6.0 and wm 6.1 with NetFramework 2.0 or 3.5. And no need to install !!! unzip the folder put it on your phone and start the todaylife.exe. If you dont like it delete just the folder thats it.
3. What is working till now ? :
- not everything, test it, but i update this skin everytime that there are some new functions for you.
4. I´m having bugs/Problems/Ideas ?
- if you have a bug/Problem/Idea or want to modify my theme and dont know how: post it here, if its not running or you have a request to the programmer post it in the above thread.

- no sorry i cant, i don´t have the time and biggest Problem: i dont have a vga device for testing the graphics here. But todaylife works well with VGA.

the theme looks good, not too heavy to dark or too bright..actually looks similar to a MS2.1 theme ive seen before lol

Guys - to change a skin pack to a different resolution takes time!!! the icons may be too small for starters - BUT - you can change most of it yourself - simply by editing the portrait.xml and landscape.xml and making all the X and Y coordinates double - S(ize) attributes for things like the calendar can be doubled too

I am still developing the program - so it is correct that some tabs are empty - this is by design and allows for expansion as I develop.

The unlock sequence is 4 seperate guestures : ^, >, \/, <

When i click the speaker icon my screen darkens, but i dont get a volume control. I have to reset the phone to get out of it. Anyone else have this problem?

What is a theme?
In Task Facade, a theme is a directory that contains the theme.xml configuration file and all the files referred in it.
The name of the directory is the name of a theme.
All TaskFacade themes are located in the directory, described in settings.xml file, "ThemesFolder" element.
The drawing sequence
This is how TaskFacade draws its surface:
1. Draw background (either a Wallpaper or SolidFill);
2. Draw each slot in memory:
-- Create a copy of a snapshot in memory;
-- Draw a Frame (Titled or Untitled, Selected or Usual) over it (using either alpha-blending or InnerTransparency color for transparency);
-- If necessary, draw a special Frame (CloseProcess or ProcessDead) over it (using either alpha-blending or InnerTransparency color for transparency);
-- If necessary, draw a title;
3. Copy the resulting slot's image to the background, using OuterTransparency color.

Themes work everywhere. The only requirement is the latest TaskFacade 4.0 Alpha2.
All images in TaskFacade 4.x are scalable, so you need only 2 (portrait and landscape) to look nice in any resolution.

glad to see you here.
the only thing we all should consider: in most cases the user sees only the lower-right corner. sometimes the borderspace (top&bottomlines or left&rightlines depending on slots alignment in user's settings). the rest is only gapspace.
so don't rely too much on the middle of the wallpaper.

i wonder if you or other guys over here could fulfill a kind of a "request":
we definetely should have "Manilla" and "MacOS" themes in TaskFacade, and i know there are real profis in this area on the forum.

Here is a WVGA skin that looks ok with manilla.
This is supposed to be used without titles and full screen.
I didn't bother changing the titled images from the original skin...
In fact, this is very lazy... all black background and a 1pixel frame (white/green depending on status).
I also corrected all the sizes, so that the stopped/killed program signs are round and not stretched.
I am dumping it here, perhaps someone else likes simplistic skins.

i skinned:
every icon/frame in the theme!
the screenshot shows a black background, but if you enable the wallpaper, i also skinned that!
put the theme into a cab, which also replaces your settings file to enable only the titlebar, disable menubar, fix some other little things
if you dont want to install via cab, simply move the folder in the zip to your taskfacade\themes folder on device! (i included both cab and folder)
i really like what i came up with, so hopefully you all do too!

could you please update your skin a bit.
it's about sizes.
the principle is: maximal size of a wallpaper is screensize (e.g., 480x640 for vga).
however, for frames the maximal size is only quarter-screensize (240x320 for vga). it is because we never show 1 frame.
it will save good amount of memory for users of your skin.

this is a mock up, because i didnt have time to take screenshots, but it looks like this (the only difference is that the titles go all the way across the snapshot instead of being bubbles) with support for landscape as well:
the top is the "gloss with title" and the bottom is the "gloss title below"
"gloss bottom title" has the title on the bottom of the snapshot just like the original gloss
"gloss bottom title" and "gloss with title" have small icons on the top right like above preview (first level) for dead and close icons
"gloss title below" has large close and dead icons like the preview above (second level)
also, if you want to use a solid background, it looks quite nice with 10,10,10 as the background color (offblack)

I just started using S2U2 and am not a big fan of the "Apple Look". I started searching for skins but they were all either poorly made or had way to many graphics that gave it a gawky look. So I decided to create my own! I gave it a simple LCD style and stuck to a clean simple look. Everything is custom graphics except for the sliders, operators, and weather graphics, which I kept stock.
I do plan on creating custom weather graphics, but I do not use weather on my phone as I don't have a data plan. So it might be a little bit before I work on those.
I recommend changing the following settings in S2U2 to make the best use of my skin. It is not necessary to change these settings but it will make the skin function as the screenshots show!
» Appointment -> Appointment Line -> Off
» Appointment -> Appointment Alignment -> Left
» Wallpaper -> Battery on top of wallpaper -> On
The battery setting is the only setting I highly recommend as with it turned off the wallpaper dissiperes when the phone is plugged in.

Actually, I have my younger brother over. I sold him my Palm Treo pro and upgraded to a Touch Pro from sprint. So I am currently working on the QVGA/WQVGA/SQVGA using his phone for testing. It is almost complete and will be done in a little bit.
Just finished the qvga, wqvga, and sqvga versions. I also made a few posts around here so I can post links. So I was able to switch all links to mediafire, let me know if you want something else, and added larger screenshots.
I also added links to just the clock and just the wallpaper for each resolution!
Since I do not have a phone with qvga, sqvga, or wqvga please let me know if there are any problems!
Someone also requested different clock colors, what do you think?
Also, I have recently just fallen in love with the GTX Sense theme and the GFX windows theme!!! I am currently making an S2U2 skin to match this look, would anyone be interested in this? Or should I just keep it to myself?

EDIT: I have just tried it, works very well, maybe there is a little "bug": when i attached my device to the power, and battery icon appears, the "usb cord" attached to battery icon isn't on the middle of battery, but on the top. In s2u2 original skin the cord is on the middle of battery icon...

- Which resolution are you using, and can you post a screenshot?
There are a few different images for the slider button depending on the settings used. All work the same though, it is an image that is split in half horizontally and the left side is the unpressed slider while the right is the pressed slider. The images are .png and support transparency, you do not need to have a specific color background even though some of the images have a fuchsia colored background.
Below is a list of the sliders and what they are....all are located at /Program Files/S2U2/gfx/
arrows.png -> default slide button used for locked screen
arrows2.png -> slide button for locked screen when slider is set to middle
s2earrows.png -> default slide to answer button
s2earrows2.png -> i'm not actually sure what this one is for but it is for slide to answer

This will show the carbon background even when the phone is charging. It is like this because I didn't take the cheap way out and put the background as part of the battery icon - this way if you set a custom background of your own it will replace mine entirely and not mess anything up.

I would definitely be interested in this. Getting my GTX ROM setup right now.
Below is a screenshot preview of the S2U2 GTX skin...still a lot of work to be done. I only did the wallpaper, the clock, and the battery so far. I still have to find a way to get the date to be all black, or try to put a dark grey background behind it.
I have been working on a few other GTX inspired skins as well.
Such as a Showcase (task manager app) skin...
- This skin is completed for VGA, just have to finish for the rest of the resolutions
As well as a Titanium skin, I am one of those people who think touchflo is too gauky and slow...i prefer the default titanium over it until they speed it up and get rid of the glitches for phones that are not made for it.
- This skin is 90 percent done for VGA, a few more tweaks and then i will work on the rest of the resolutions
So what do you guys think? I also plan on making a resco explorer gtx skin, a windows lock screen skin (not that mini that comes with gtx), and a resco contact manager skin (i might have to wait until they come out with a better skinning engine, as right now there is only one skin that i know of that is custom made by someone other than the creator/programmer).
