I have the device set to turn off on 40sec of inactivity
Any way you can override this when the device is connected to a PC via activesync? Its getting a little annoying
cheers

When I put the device in the craddle, ActiveSync kicks in and automatically syncs the device with outlook. When I remove it from the craddle, the two arrows (ActiveSync status icon) in the device notification area (top) stays the same and if I go to the ActiveSync application in the device, it thinks it is still connected. Is there a solution for this?
After reflashing my device with V3 I see the same thing. If I power off and then on the PDA, ActiveSync kicks off [I hear the disconnect beep].
Also having an issue with the PDA staying connected to the PC. The PDA "thinks" it's connected but ActiveSync on the PC says not connected.

I had that too, the device itself still thinks it is connected...but after a few menutes it "disconnects". Or just do a soft reset.
Could somebody tell me or point me to an area that will explain how i can use the USB cable to charge the phone w/o syncing with activesync?
Thanks!
Open Active Sync connection settings, and disable "allow USB-connections"
Ya, i can't install activesync at work. With my old Dell back in the day it wouldn't charge unless activesync was installed. But i just plugged in my Kaiser w/o active sync and it automatically started charging. So NM i guess!
Thanks for the response btw!
I have my kaiser connected to sync with three services. My home pc (contacts+calendar+tasks), my work pc (contacts+calendar+tasks) and my exchange server (only email).
My work pc cannot connect to my exchange server (due to firewall), but every time I plug my kaiser in, it tries to connect and then takes a loooooooong time before it finally gives up.
What can I do to work-around this? Any help would be most welcome.
Basically, I want to be able to remotely control my phone form any networked pc in the house and only from pcs on the same network, which is why I want to know if its possible to do these two things:
1. Is there a way to connect into the phone and see it's screen as well as control it remotely? I know I can do the reverse where I can see my pc's screen and control them with my phone, is there any way to do it in reverse? And only make the connection work over LAN, not WAN?
2. Is there any way I can make my phone automatically turn WiFI on when I plug it into AC power to charge, and turn it off once it gets unplugged from AC power?
Thanks
SOTI has several versions
Try SOTI Pocket Controller-Pro @ http://www.soti.net/
SOTI can do both of those?
MyMobiler does this very well via Activesync. It's freeware so just Google it.
Through Activesync?
I want to be able to access it wirelessly though, not through a wired connection.
couldnt you use active sync via bluetooth? and what exactly are you trying to accomplish? there might be an easier way you havent thought of yet. share

SBSH's PhoneWeaver can do this. You can create a profile that is triggered by being connected to AC Power and that profile can include having WiFi turned on. After disconnection it would return to the default or scheduled profile which could have WiFi off.
Activesync doesn't connect, while Internet connection sharing does.
I can't seem to change this have already chnged USB to PC setting to Activesync and also ticked the 'show dialoge' box.
Yet nothing shows when i connect my diamond, only goes directly to ICS
how does one change these settings to launch on activesync again?
regedit solution
?
thanks
