Hello
Does anyone of you Diamond Touch owners have good fps when using DiamondTv or TVUPlayer??
And what have you done to make it work?
With DiamondTv i try to stream DR (Danish national Tv) with 950kbit. Buts its playing with lower than 10fps even with Wifi.
Tried to play streams using Tvuplayer. But i only gets streams with low fps.
Its like the CPU i way to weak.

I'm having the same problems with my Touch Pro. It's like watching a slide show. Supposedly it run smoothly on the Mogul, so I can only assume it's a settings issue, I just don't know what those settings are.
I'm slowly chugging along getting things working. I installed CorePlayer instead of TCPMP and that didn't work at least not right away.
I had to copy/paste the CorePlayer "player.exe" into the TCPMP folder for TVU to launch it instead of TCPMP. Now I'm just trying to find the right combo of CorePlayer settings for smooth playback.
I've been using SpikeTV with Star Wars on for benchmarking, but I haven't been able to get a combo above 60% yet.
I've got Smooth Zoom off for everything, and got the following results so far:
GDI
High
27%
Raw Frame Buffer
High
29%
QTv
High
65%
QTv
Medium
47%
QTv
Low
39%
DirectDraw
High
40%
DirectDraw
Medium
51%
DirectDraw
Low
57%
I've gotten some varying results with QTv, from 40%-60% with high quality being better than low quality and vice versa. I'm really not sure what's up with that.
I'm hoping I can find some other settings to tweak with DD or QTV get smooth playback.
Low Fps
Did some testing on Touch Pro Qualcomm caused the issue, Samsung Omina & SGHi780 working fine due to CPU diff.

I am kind if disappointed in the speed and responsiveness of the unit.
My Wizard seems to be as fast or slightly faster than the Tytn II.
I did my usual and loaded up the Tytn II when I got it, Resco Explorer, Registry, FTP, Sling Player, TomTom 6, MS Voice Command and a couple small games.
The Tytn II seems to be very slow responding and very sluggish.
There isnt much in the startup folder either.
I really expected something with twice the clock speed to be much more responsive.
Also, the battery life is horrible, this thing sucks the battery down in no time with just GSM and BlueTooth on, I cant even use WiFi for 30 min without
draining the battery 25%, not to be an iPhone fan boy,but they have it straight with their WiFi implementation, I can leave WiFi, BT and GSM on all the time and
I get close to 12+ hours of varied use, surfing the web with WiFi, EDGE and talking on the phone for hours with no issues, I still have 50% or more battery.
I also notice that I have issues with a BT headset, sometimes when I try to answer a call, the audio seems to get routed nowhere, I cant get it on the phone or the headset and I have to soft reset to get it back.
Just wanted to see what others experiences were with regular usage.
I have also hard reset(clear storage) and the unit is still pretty sluggish.
Would a cooked ROM be any better? is that even an option for the Tytn II yet?

I noticed something similar coming from Prophet (OMAP 200 overclocked @260) but...
The TI OMAP 850 processor has been on the market for at least 2 years (i might be wrong, but i got my Prophet 1.5 years ago) and compilers are optimized for it, drivers are optimized for it, etc.
This is the first WM6 on the QUALCOMM (i could be wrong here too, but i'm close)
I'm sure the next AKU will bring blazing speed (at least i hope so... pls... pls)
I actually think my kaiser is very fast. Opening of apps is not a good indicator - though it should be slightly faster. What I look at is how fast I can list a big directory. Benchmarks on video playback. An app can only open so fast

opening apps and listing directories is a measure of card i/o speed (card and the hardware that reads it)
benchmark on video files shows little improvement, see:

I dont know what you are benchmarking with - but trust me - using Rawframebuffer on cordecodec - the performance of my kaiser FAR exceeds my wizard. On my wizard I couldnt play an move encoded with AVC at 250 KBPS now I have no problem with ones at 450+.
Oh and IO speed is a measure of the CPU as well. If you dont believe me do searches here or better still overclock your wizard and use SKTOOLS to benchmark with normal and OCed cpu.
dunno if this sheds any light on anything

Try MX Player. On my One, it plays everything what you throw on it. Activate HW+ decoder, butter-smooth playback of 1080p content, great batt life (get about 7h playback time from internal memory in battery saver mode with auto brightness).

Doesn't auto brightness drain more battery? Why not set the brightness to a user set one?

It would drain more if it sets the screen brighter than you would manually, for me it is pretty accurate. Played with the brightness bar in MX Player - you can set the screen darker than the minimum auto brightness level there, yes, but then you need to manually readjust all the time when you change environment lighting. That's why I chose auto brightness, it plays back my video content with the same brightness of the rest of the UI.
Anyways, with manual you might even squeeze some more minutes out of the battery but I am already very impressed by the screen-on time, video and audio quality when playing back HD content. My battery stats say the phone consumes an average of 260mA during playback (3G 4 bars, auto brightness, power saver, 40% volume on builtin speakers).

Well auto brightness has never worked for me on all my galaxy devices, maybe I'll have more luck with the One.
Hi
I have a dlock mhl adapter and its working fine for my lg optimus 3d max but when i use it with my z1 it is exactly 50% slower as normal. When i.e. i play on ppsspp every game run @ 50%. I tryed setting the gov. To performance .. no change at all. Exactly 50%. Also the xperia launcher seem significantly slower. Is there a way to disable the phone functions so it is only using the performance for the tv and not the phpne display. I read somewhere somebody had a similar issue but he either has full speed but no sound or full sound and half speed. In my case i would not be bothered by no sound and full speed because ppsspp does not emulate the sound good. actually if i pull the plug on mhl while gaming the speed turns imstantly to 100%.. a and please dont try the screen off app from the market .. this screws up everthing. So if someone has an idea on this issue i would be greatful. Ah i am using the latest ihackers rom- (nice one btw)
Thanx
Tommy
I decided to download Asphalt 8 last night to see how the Note 5 handles it, initially it looked good but after 20 seconds or so the frame rate slowed down considerably - I would guess less than 10 frames a second. I uninstalled it, cleared the cache, reinstalled but still the same issue. This is on High settings which is the default setting. It's like the phone starts to throttle after a short amount of time racing?
Is anyone else playing Asphalt 8, have you seen anything similar?
I downloaded AnTuTu bench and was getting over 60,000 which seems in line with other Note 5's and 3D Mark also seems to match up so i'm not sure if this is just Asphalt 8 or a bigger problem.
I installed CPU-z so I could monitor temperature and if I check it when the game is running slow the Exynos reports around 60c which doesn't seem that high?
i've only tried it on my S6e without any noticeable issues. do you have Power Saving mode off?
(Sent from another Galaxy)
Yup both power saving modes are definitely off.
There are drops in some games after minutes of gameplay, that because of Samsung TW DVFS, which basically monitors and throttles the CPU way too fast.
If u have root, u can set cpu govenor to performance when playing, that will eliminate all the lag, that what i do.
So I disabled the game booster and game launcher, also currently trying to disable the game optimization service but can't.
The phone is experiencing a fps drop at least every 10 seconds or so when I am playing pubgm on the lowest graphic setting.omegle xender
Does anyone else have this issue? CPU usage was never 100%. (and gpu usage is always below 15%) In fact, it pretty much stays around 50% all the time, so I don't really have a clue why it is having a stutter/lag every now and then.
Also, there seems to be some sort of input lag. Not sure if that is related to the issue above.
