I just went to Ebay and typed in "Windows Mobile 6" into their Search Engine. Just look at what came up!!! And, they originated from THIS forum, I'm sure. . .

I have used WM6 ROMs and I'm grateful for the cooks providing them, but let's call a spade a spade here - it's NOT "freeware". Microsoft make WM available to ODMs for a licence fee.

I must admit I did not know ODMs were not being charged for WM5->WM6 upgrade paths, however a free upgrade is not freeware.

I did. Two of the listings were pulled within 1/2 hour and I've notice that a third one has now been pulled. The only items left are the Wizard phones with WM6 pre-installed. Those probably won't last much longer.

Selling themes you created is fine since you're the author but selliing something somebody else has put together and released for free is wrong to say the least....

Well i have reported both of them, due to the fact that if someone on here has put alot of work into it, NO-ONE should be selling it on, that will just bring more problems from microsoft to this site! As we are one of the biggest sites, if not the best for the wizard.
If it is given for free, no-one can be seen to be getting money from copy right of microsoft!

I was talking to AT&T business customer service regarding my account. Before i got off the phone i asked a question regarding the availability of WM6 for the treo 750. He said the upgrade is out and available to all thier retail stores in effort to upgrade the existing stock of Treo 750 with WM5 to WM6 in preperation for the arrival of the new TREO 750 with WM6 included. Once the above mentioned is complied with, the upgrade for existing users will hit the perverbial shelves...

Thanks for posting your info here. I think we're all a little jaded when it comes to the multiple dates, timeframes, plans and timelines posted from AT&T, Cingular, Palm, and others. I'm hoping that your information pans out. I guess I need to stop at the AT&T store on the way home today...
Can anyone confirm that the stores have the update? A link would be nice.

Oh.. im not jaded at all.. infact the blackberry curve is looking pretty right about now. I've been surving this country for 12 years in the USAF. Waiting for this new upgrade to come out is sorta small compared to current events and you would understand if you were in my shoes.

At least somebody here gets the point I was trying to make. The bottom line is that there is no way of knowing what AT&T, or Verizon, Or T-Mobile, or anyone is going to do at any time. It does not matter what anyone says here. If I create a fake avatar with the AT&T logo and pretend I am the CEO of AT&T and tell you it will be released tomorrow, will you believe me? If you do, what happens when it does not show up? I truly appreciate any info anyone gives here...HONESTLY I DO!!! I just happen to think this is all very funny, so I am trying to lighten things up.
I gotta go now. My numerologist is here to tell me who is going to win the presidential election.

Welcome, welcome my friend. I used to have a Moto V300, the got a SE P910i, then Nokia N80, then a BB Curve, then the HTC Herald, and my current device HTC Kaiser. I came a long way, lol, probably not as long as others. My next device will be the Nokia N96. As you can see, I like variety, but staying clear of that so called apple phone, lol.
twould seem that the herald forum is a springboard for alot of upper members and ideas
HTC herald............innovating since god knows when.
But anyway..... congrats on the switch. I find it exorbitant to trade all that for just one excalibur.

I'm The Omega Protocol at M3. I ported the Black Remedy Skin to 176 and then Sold the Dragon V3r. T_T I kinda wish I hadn't. lol But I am very happy with my Wing which now runs Touch-IT [Touched by Vista].
Welcome. I too gave up my MPx300, Sony Ericsson and Blackberry devices for HTC. You're gonna love it here.
I loved my MPx300, a bit bulky but it was truly awesome for a device of it's time.

Welcome to the fold. My first "smart" phone was the Moto E680i, loved that phone. Super stable linux OS, the best Chinese sip I've ever seen, nice form factor, lots of mods etc. Every time I see someone stressing about flashing a WM phone I chuckle and think of the days when I had to telnet into the phone for even the slightest of tweaks. I gave it away when I got my hermes and my friend is still using it...over three years of hard use and it's still going, that thing is a tank. Anyway welcome to the forums and say goodbye to all your evenings and weekends for the next 6 months.....

LOL! I know, when I think about it, I wonder how I managed to post so much in a few months, but I go through a bunch of sections each night and it's only 4 posts a day average! I think it's due to the increase of juniors and the off the wall questions, and of course, the serious users looking for help/answers. I'm quite sure many of you have no idea who I am, but that's alright. I wouldn't expect you to.
Just wanted to give my appreciation to the MANY MANY devs here, in thanks for making my old devices much more than the manufacturers intended them to be.
I'll be serving one year of Active Army Duty (Deployment) in the Middle-East & Surrounding areas, hopefully still enjoying my HTC HD7, until around July of 2012.
I'll miss xda, as it's been one of my other homes for a little over two years now.
Love you guys, see you soon!
