Is there a way to flash the ROM from SD - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

I have a bricked herald an I hope that I can Flash the ROm with a SD card.
In some posts I find someting about flashing the ROM with an (Micro) SD card. Can anyone tell me what files I have to put on the SD card and is it correct I have to hold the camera button while pressing the power button?
Thanks

take the .nbh file and rename it HERAIMG.nbh. Make sure that your device is HardSPL'd (thats the key).

First of all THANKS!!!. I hope it works but till now it runs through bootloader without chenking the sd card.
I am not sure that my device is HardSPL'd. How do I do that withour activesync features?
i read your other thread. It seems your device is NOT hardSPL'd, but it is also below the requirements of hardSPL (SPL/IPL of more than 4).
I suggest you refer your question to papamopps or some of the more proficient people.
In the other thread, i suggested that you use the RUU for your device. Do that, and wait for Papamopps response about HardSPL-ing with an SPL under 4. Actually, ivan might know too....

There was a problem with people flashing a ROM from their SD card and it turned out to be the SD card itself. You have to have an SDHC card and either have it partitioned or use a small one like a 128mb card because with bigger sd cards, the device doesn't have time to read the whole card . Personally I used a 128mb card and it worked fine.
i suppose you mean "not an SDHC card"
i have a 512 and it works. If you somehow get your device HardSPL'd, be patient when you try to flash using SD. It takes a long time (longer than you expect. You'll know what i mean when you try it).

Problem when treing change rom from SD Card

Hi all
i cant change roms from my SD card i do every thing ok and change name of rom
nothing happen please help me with that
Any one help?
Your problem has been discussed several times before.
Button line is the SD card make, if it is not Sandisk its highly unlikely that it would function in the SD card flashing method.

Are you sure you put the kovsimg file in the root of your storage card?
Then hold down volume button down and poweron until the rainbow colors shows?
Are you using a Kingston (or other brand) microSD card?
You need a SanDisk microSD card.

Issues with Installing rom from micro SD

Alright I've searched a ton and havne't been able to come up with any results. I've come to the conclusion that I am either searching for the wrong things, or I'm just missing some major step somewhere.
I have been trying to load JustStable from my Micro SD card. It is a 2 gb formatted to fat32 and I have the HERAIMG.nbh file on the root of my SD card, and when I do a soft reset (depress button below volume slider with stylus) and hold the camera key, the searching for SD card flashes for less than a second then it comes up to the red, green, blue screen that displays my ipl and spl (which is 4.70 yang) and sits.
I'm really new to this, and this is my second rom install, but I really wanted to try JustStable, and I realize that I"m probably doing something wrong, but hoping someone can either point me to the right direction or let me know what I can try. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
personally i cant figure that one out. i always use active sync its easy get a flash center. extract the .nbh file from the rom. put the .nbh file in the "ruu" folder and run herald.uspl follow the step and your good.
I just did an install from my sd card.
I bought a usb card reader and reformatted my card to fat32 full reformat not the quick format. then copy the image over to the card and press the soft reset and hold the camera button. it should look for the sd card then tell you to press the volume button and it will read the image. When it is done downloading the image from the card it will return to the red, green blue screen. now press the soft reset and it should start up, but might take awhile for the first start configuration thing. Hope this helps
I think the problem is your phone isn't reading the sd card fast enough. Try creating a small partition on your sd card and placing the .nbh file in the smaller partition. This way the phone doesn't have to read the entire 2gb to find a small .nbh file. When I flash, I use a 1gb card and I have no problem. Then I swap out the 1gb card for an 8gb that has my files and cabs.

[Q] Power Button broken - can I still upgrade to a larger SD card?

Hey guys,
So I have a Nexus One with a power button that doesn't work (so I use the volume button now instead). I was able to root the phone though, and I downloaded ROM Manager and was able to Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.
My understanding is that I should be able to use ROM Manager to install new ROMs, but I also want to upgrade my SD card storage from 4GB to 8GB. From what I've found, it sounds like it takes some formatting and partitioning of the SD card and requires booting into Recovery mode by holding down the Power Button and the Volume Up key - problem is, as you know, that my power button doesn't work.
Is there any way for me to upgrade my SD card that doesn't involve using the power button? I know that ROM Manager has the option to boot into recovery mode, but that brings me to a screen with a triangle, with an exclamation mark and a green Android, and nothing happens. Same thing when I try to use QuickBoot to boot into recovery mode.
I tried looking around to see if there was a thread that would answer my question, but couldn't find one so I'm starting a new thread. If there is a thread that answers this, my apologies - please point me to it.
I hope I was able to provide enough information. Hopefully I'm not S.O.L, and I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks!
It's not necessary to partition SD card unless you flash sense roms or u want to use dt script or s2e to move data to sdext.so you can change your sd card.
I think you should try to flash recovery Again through ROM manager or terminal (try to flash alternate recovery through ROM manager too )

Thanks amolji, you said a few things that I don't quite get since I haven't had to deal with them (dt script, s2e, sdext, etc).
So would I be ok with just a copy and paste of data from the old SD card to the new one? I should point out that I've moved over quite a few apps to my SD card, so if I do decide to copy/paste data to the new SD card, will the apps that are on the SD card launch properly once I've copied them over?

You should be OK. I went from a 4GB to a 16GB card.
-copy content of old sd card to PC
-format new sd card (might not be necessary but I format all new sd card)
-copy contents from PC to new sd card
