Calendar: appointment preview in week view - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hello all,
in the week view of the calendar on my old phone, XDA NEO (Win Mob 5.0), I got a small preview of the appointment when tabbing on the entry. Tabbing on the preview opens the detailed view of the appointment.
On the Diamond, tabbing on an entry immediately opens the detailed view. A preview is only shown when skipping between the appointments using the left and right keys. That is not that convenient.
Is there a possibility to switch to the "old" behaviour?
Best regards and thank you in advance

Synchronise all Outlook appointment data (incl. old)?

Hi everybody,
I have a few teething issues switching from my Palm to the Windows Mobile calendar application.
On my Palm I could keep a backlog of appointments on the device for as long as I wanted. The Vario III/Active Sync seems to allow only for a maximum of six months of old appointments saved on the device. Is there a way around this?
Thanks, Robert
under active sync with the device connected and sync'ed right click on calender and select settings. there should be options for All, 1 month 2 month, and so on. select all.
Oops. Found it right at the top. I was only scrolling downwards. Thanks for pointing it out.

Calendar On Home Screen

Is there a way to have more than 1 calendar event show up on the home screen like there was for the Touch Cruise?
thanks for your help!
Maybe the same as SPB Diary so like 31 days???
I've been looking for a way to show more calendar entries on the home screen too. Haven't found anything in any of the options or settings. Maybe in the registry?
Dunno either but will be watchingthis thread with anticipation !
1. Is there a much better calendar that can be installed and totally take over the existing calendar (even show events on the home screen)
If not, anyone know how to stop the calendar going straight into Agenda view when u hit calendar on the home screen. Ive set it so it shows in Month view as default. But this only works if you run calendar in Programs. If you run calendar via the home screen - it still takes you to agenda view. Even if I have an event there I still prefer to go to Month view
the calendar ONLY shows today's appointments.

Not even that. Sometimes it only shows the next appointment, sometimes it shows two. I haven't figured out what the second appointment has to be in order for it to be shown. Maybe only "busy" status? It's weird. I wish it could show upcoming appointments like the regular Calendar today item.
In the manual it says that it will only show 1 all day appointment and up to 2 timed appointments. I've found the first timed appointment always shows, but sometimes getting the second to show up is a problem. Don't know if it's status or time.
Sure there is, have a look at the freeware TodayAgenda
With the main clock minimized, the TouchFLO should show up to 4 events.
Hopefully this will work in the next version.
I'm looking for the same. (Thanks search function!)
I agree it shows only one full day appt and one timed in my case. I didn't find any tweak.
Hi,
TF3D shows 1 all day appointment and 1 or 2 appointments. It shows 2 appointments only if the first is already started. So the actuel started and the next to come.

This app only changes the default links that TF3d connects to - not the look of touch flow. I.E. if you install Pocket Informant (which is excellent by the way) it will now link to that rather than the default WinMo calendar.
One compromise to improve quick viewing of calendar, tasks etc is to install Second Today and then a today plugin such as Pocket Breeze.
Hi I am actually wondering if Calendar is able to show the next upcoming appointments that is due in a few days time. My appointments will only show if the appointment's timing is on the following day.
this seems to be one of the most complained about short comings of tf3d. thought HTC would have addressed the issue already.
think I must have spent my first day owning a diamond crawlingthrough the registry looking for a value to increase the may appointments.
sighz. So no tweaks to display the upcoming appointments eh?
anything new on this topic?

By using SecondToday, is works perfect. You just need to tap & go instantly. Mentioned by earlier post by "ericsson68". Maybe more convincing by looking at the following screenshots. Click on the lower left will bring you to Second Today screen. Click OK return to 3D TouchFlo screen. Isn't that amazing . . .

calander issue

Someone who can test this. i have set up the calender to view the monthview. When i click on the calendar , which is on the home page (or startscreen). Then I come to monthview in about a sec and then automatically move on to todayview. Clicking on the calendar in program i come right and then stays there insted of going to today view
Irritating that the best an shortest way to the calender is not set up as you want
Here
it's a feature of calendar link on today screen to showing the day view...
use search function before posting next times

Calendar Organizer

Hello,
What are the best options for an agenda appointments organizer? I am using windows mobile calendar and like having my appointments on the main screen, but maybe there are better options for that. My main complains are the screen space is not well used by Calendar and sometimes only one appointment is shown if another is just coincident.
Thanks.
Roberto.

Does everyone's calender act this way?

When I open calender and switch to month view, I try to select a future date for which I have nothing scheduled and instead of going to the day I selected, it goes to the last day have something scheduled. Does that make sense? Anyone else find this annoying ?
Yep - happens here also
I work night shifts and want to figure out how to get the times to show up on the lock screen instead of Wednesday - Thursday as I don't work the same times everytime.... :/
Doesn't happen to me - when i press future date from month view calendar, it goes to the future day i selected.
Calendar option: Windows live is ON
phone name and model: HTC HD7 T9292
OS Version: 7.07004.0
FW Rev#: 2250.09.12302.728
Same as BlueGreenWhite, doesn't happen on mine. When i select a future date from Month view, it opens up that date.
It depends whether you are in a day or agenda view (before accessing the month view). If you are in a day view it'll go to the selected day, if you are in agenda view it'll go to the next day with appointment which makes sense as days without appointments aren't displayed in agenda view.
There you go, Mystery solved
Thanks, makes complete sense
Calendar working good.
I sync with Gmail Contact and Calendar. Everything works fine except that the Birthdays recorded into Contact cannot be show/sync on HD7 calendar.
Thanks for the tip, it does now make sense!
Another problem I have just found, after one month has passed calendar appointments disappear from handset calendar (not reoccuring ones) but remain OK on Windows Live Calendar on PC/in Outlook. This is a problem for me as I like to keep all my past appointments with me on the handset.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

I wouldn't call that a problem. Why is it so important to have past appt's on your calendar?
Past appointments are important to keep on the handset as sometimes I need to refer back to certain dates in meetings.
Past Calendar is IMPORTANT

Yes. Agreed. Past calendar is very important when you need to trace back your appointment.
I do have the same problem, I think something wrong with the Sync . . .
Under Windows Live (Primary), the setting only allow to check/uncheck the Mail.
Under Gmail, the setting allow to check/uncheck the Mail, Contact & Calendar.
Sometimes can sync and sometimes can't. Waiting for the FIX from Microsoft.
Yes, I am hoping this will be fixed by Microsoft in the next update. Will be most dissappointed if it is not.
