.... diamond games: where is... - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

...puzzle bubble?
does it exist for a vga ppc? i think the wheel is perfect for this games...
anyone knows where i can find it?

SPB Air Islands has a VGA clone of Puzzle Bobble but I don't think it can use Diamond's wheel.

Hi there!
I have a serious request; if I can't use this program I won't buy the diamond even though I really want it.
I study chinese and bought this dictionary software:
http://www.pleco.com/ppcdownload.html
Could you please download the DEMO version and try if it works??
Thank you very much for the efforts!!!
Sorry for the delay, PlecoDict 1.0.3b works fine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379411&page=7
According to this thread on the Kaiser part of the forum, the agps makes IGO reboot all the time. It must be disabled.
If you now how to disable agps on your diamond, can you test IGO6 and 8 again ?

Ah great!! Thank you very much for testing....now just wait till I can buy the damn phone!
Hi, Ihave checked the registry, the AGPS is 0 by default. I have tried 1 but that didint work either.
@ MartinMystere,
Do you have a Touch Diamond? If you do could you try the following program for me.
http://download.handango.com/shareware/79537/Worms_PPC_EN_HEX_1.0.4d.exe
It’s called Worms World Party from Jamdat if you can download the demo, and see if it’s easy to aim, you should have 6/7 steps between horizontal and vertical aim. It only gives me 3 steps on the orbit due to the roller ball not being sensitive enough.
Thanks...
what about Calligrapher and Phatpad?
Could you please try Calligrapher and PhatPad both big phatware. They seem to have issues with touchflo on other devices. Thanks!
z

Worms for pocketpc started up but it immediately said your trial period expired, than error occured statiing " A problem occured with WWp.exe"

Possible games for the Diamond

Have been bored at work all day. Just wondered if anyone had any fantastic ideas for Diamond games. I'm not saying I can make them, but if anyone can work out how to get the G-sensor working on games, I'd love to see a sensor-based Pacman.
there is loads of old dos games you could convert.
someone made a lunar lander game. he can help you with the gsensor.
what about a driving/flying game in which you control the car/airplane with the gsensor and use the dpad button to fire at enemies.
or maybe just a racing game
a platform game in which walking is left right, tilt up is jump etc
good luck

Micropool 2007 on Diamond

Hi first!
i want to play Micropool 2007 (
http://www.handango.de/servlet/d/micropoolv4.1demosetup.exe?s=8&p=201396&secw=3e2942dd&email=
)on my diamond but it doesn't work. When i start the game a failure window opens. Does anyone here already play the game on his diamond? If yes, then let me know how!
Thanks!
cheers
Daniel
Had the same problem, but it did start once or twice for me, didn't persist with it and uninstalled it.
Anyone know of a Pool/Snooker/Billiards game that is in true VGA ?
I've become such a VGA snob since owning the diamond
I think that Virtual Pool Mobile is a VGA game.
A demo is available here http://www.celeris.com/games/VPMobile/overview.html
You can't see it on the screenshots on their site, but it looks better when you play it on a Diamond. I have attached an image of it.
Pool House is also quite a good game
doesn't anyone made to run the game on his diamond? i doesn't have the knowledge to fix my problem because this is my first wm device! I also talked to the developer of the game, but he doesn't have a solution at all! On his Glofiish X650 (also a vga device) the game runs!

I second that, used to use Micropool on all my other Windows Mobile phones but Virtual Pool does look and play really well on the Diamond
Good find.
Micropool 2007 - downloaded demo, tested - very smooth gameplay, runs perfectly OK, with no lag or error.

Which version do you have and how did you made it? I hope you also have a diamond ;-)

keypad gaming on diamond...

I've been thinking of buying the diamond after reading these forums quite a bit, had my ipaq 4150 stolen which was wonderful for playstation and SNES/NES/Gameboy emulation, which would essentially be a deal breaker for me on a PDA phone.
Its very sad to know that you cannot re-map the buttons on some programs, however...
Has anyone tried any of the game emulators like Morphgear on the diamond, and are the buttons mappable as well as multi-key capable? And is the directional keys as good as most other pda phones for moving around? Essential for run-and-jump style games and tetris...
Simple answer: no. Not recommended. Some keys can't be remapped in Morphgear and it doesn't seem to allow more than one button pressed at a time. At any rate, the navigational pad is recessed and is not suitable for a thumb. Its too easy to hit the enter button or to go in the wrong direction. I used to have morphgear on my old PDA and it was perfect, but the diamond keypad is not suitable. I've been trying for a few weeks.
Sorry!
wow, thanks for the reply.
thats a tragedy....the upcoming xperia x1 looks a lot more game friendly with the two sets of four way buttons but I wonder if morphgear would have issues with the widescreen.
i wonder if the touch dual could use multi-touch on its 20-key pad.
because i travel quite often I have to have morphgear
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398280
here's a thread about re-mapping keys with diamond. apparently touchflo locks some of the keys...
but even then, as you said, the two keys to the right of the arrows can't be pressed at the same time?
hmm
Sorry to revive this but I found something incredibly compelling. The Diamond playing arcade fighting games with on-screen keys.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqyy9K3Uj64
Showing how fast and capable the diamond can be with on-screen tap areas. I was wondering if anyone wants to experiment with this and Nop's SNES emulator. I'm thinking the directional pad could actually be sufficient for emulation.
Seeing as Sprint is selling the Diamond for 250 with 2-year contract, I pretty much on-board with the diamond here.
I hope someone find a way for a 3rd party app to output capacative input (ie the lower touch) as hardkeys... So a game thinks you're pressing a button.
I have tested pocketgba on the diamond, works pretty well..lets u remap almost every key,but as said cant press 2 of the buttons at once,my setup is with 4 onscreen buttons, app in youtube video is problably finalburn, have yet to test it on my diamond,am also going to test a couple of other emu's later..
Yes, the emulator in the video is finalburn alpha.
If you are testing emulators, for snes try Nop's snes9x port.
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/cms/blogs/3/the_definitive_guide_to_playing_snes_gam
Apparently it excels in full-screen vga and on-screen tap areas. It would be interesting to see how the diamond holds up.

ResFix or RealVGA resolution switcher?

I've searched the forums and cannot find an answer...
My old e800 had a program called ResFix that would put it in QVGA mode. Great for some programs that get very laggy on a VGA device. I see that another HTC device has a program called RealVGA that does the same thing. I don't think it works on Raphael. Is there a utility that does this for the Fuze or Touch Pro?
Yes there is, it's calles wvgafix3. It only supports switching between wvga, vga and sqvga though.
Hope this helps
Thanks!
I saw this program. I was focused on finding something that would switch to QVGA for playing my old games. I've had windows PDAs since they were called a Palm PC. I think Microsoft got sued for that one. Anyway, since you specifically mentioned it, I tried it instead of passing it by. It works great. My games play smoothly in square VGA were they get laggy in real vga. Very odd. It's always been that way on VGA, though. I had a Toshiba e800 on PPC 2003 and it behaved exactly the same way.
Everything is a bit "squished", but it plays very smoothly and that's good enough for me!
