When i want to write a new message or adding a contact name, i can only type numbers. On compact qwerty i can only type numbers. On full qwerty i can not switch to letters, i can only see the number pad, and i cant switch to letters, it stays on the numbers. The only working keybord is the full one.
Any chance to fix this?
Same problem,
Anybody with an answer or the original cab?

Attached is the Diamond Keyboard CAB.

Bug on my virtual phone keyboard and compact qwerty keyboard : impossible to type letters. Only numbers are displayed. My full qwerty keyboard works.
I had install and uninstall many keyboard like PCM, touchpal etc.
Thanks a lot !

My case is worst then yours . All three HTC keyboards are numerics only. But the regular WM SIPs works fine.
Anyone got an answer to that?
Have you tried a different rom? might help...
disable the " Turn on one touch" option and it works again.
Got the same bug, and the only fix is to disable this option.
But you can do a soft reset and enable this option again and it should work normal again.
Havent figued out the reason of this bug yet, but i think it has something to do with editing the contacts.
btw, which hardspl version do you use?

I think its a bug on the 1.93 wwe roms, got it on every wwe rom except swifts 5.0. But 5.6 got this bug too.
I get the same problem if i have PCM player keyboard installed.
uninstalled it and a reboot fixes it... but i love PCM keyboard.
I'm on 1.37 Nor btw.
I'm using stock 1.93 ROM. full QWERTY was working for 2 week... till 2 days ago. I have reverse all the tweaks I made for the pass few days and it didn't help.
I think I'll try install a PCM trial and see if that helps.
Keyboard now working is a big issue. I hope HTC will publish a hotfix soon.
Installed PCM... all the HTC SIP still not functioning. But the hell with them... I like PCM better now.
Hope some one finds a fix. I want both PCM keyboard and the orignal ones.

I have found a solution. Change this in the registry:
Code:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409
"Layout Text"="eT9 IME"
"Ime File"="\windows\eT9ime.dll"
HKCR\CLSID\{73AB106C-A726-484b-B610-BE3E1CF39821}
"(Default)"="XT9"
[/quote]
Works after a reboot on diamond :)

In my qtek s200 I got suggestions of words (without T9) that the qtek learned.
Now with diamond it doesn't work without t9.
I tried to change it in settings but with no results.
Any suggestions?!
Thnx!
Try search the forum with "word completion" as the keyword. You should be able to find an answer there.
Thnx... but I tried many things but in one way or another there is always at least one problem.
First I tried with registry... and the alphabetic keyboard was not present anymore (only numeric). Then I tried with a cab that was in another thread and it worked only with the first letter and if I start deleting the word (incredibly the word completion started) then when I start with the next word again nothing happens. Also with this cab after a couple of hours the same problem like in registry....
I have no solution till now!!!
Can anybody halp me to make my word completion works... without T9 and for every word that I start writing and with no disappearing alphabetic keyboard!?!?
Thnx a lot!!!
Urosh
I realised that all the solutions were for MS input method...
Is there a solution also for HTC input methods?? Like qwerty keyboards!?!
Thnx!!

Hi,
I don't know what I've done, but when I'd like to write some message, or whatever, the original keyboard (full qwerty, or compact qwerty) keyboard starts up with the symbol pad and it's not possible to switch it back to alphanumeric mode. The only way is to invoke keyboard switch menu and select the same keyboard again. then it works as usual. Does anybody have the same problem?
as I said, I don't know, what I've done, or installed, bud I think, I've installed Advanced config 3.0 recently
I have the same problem... I also don't know what is wrong.
I also tried to disabled T9 with some tricks... that's all...
Some suggestions??
Thnx
Since yesterday I also have a problem with my HTC keyboards.
All 3 options, Qwerty, Compact Qwerty and the phonepad only gives me numbers.
I have tried all the settings.
It does not make a diverence if i turn of T9.
On the keyboard i can see the nummbers and the letters.
This is very irritating, can somebody please help?
Or is there an original cab version, al the cabs i can find are Qvga.
I have tried the Touch keyboard and it gives letters in stead of numbers, but its Qvga.
Thanks
Same problem here on the CDMA Diamond, I tried two different ROMs already the Sprint Stock ROM and a Telus Custom Juicy's 2.0 ROM. I can't use it at all and I hate doing a Hard Reset. Someone shed some light on this please.
Same problem here, have tried everything
Well I solved the problem by uninstalling PCM Keyboard... Too bad, I really liked it
Does anybody know if it's possible to run pcm keyboard without having this issue on the diamond?
since day 1 my keyboard did not show predict text ? anyone can help me ?
I had the same problem , it appeared from nowhere ..
After also trying different tricks , i solved the problem using Resco Keyboard
Pro ... It also responds much better to my taste with the touch screen
interface of the diamond.
I have had this problem on the Touch Pro too having used PCM keyboard.
Unistalled it and all back to normal.
Pity.
Same here, alas PCM's copy & paste was cool, but not if I can't use the other keyboards...

How do you use copy & paste with PCM? Which version of PCM keyboard are you using?
Hi everyone,
I've tried to search in the forums but I couldn't find it.
It's not a really big issue, but it annoys me a bit..
I found that the HTC keyboard's font looks a bit different after soft resets. The font looks a bit thinner than it is supposed to. (Screenshot attached)
However, after toggling between Compact QWERTY back to Full QWERTY, the problem is gone.
This only happens with some ROMs that I've installed .. now I'm using official 1.93.707.1 WWE .. it used to happen with the elite 3.0 as well.
Has anyone experienced this?

Omg WHY does it matter?
I have another very annoying issue with my "Full Qwerty" keyboard : it stays locked on the symbol tab, even after a soft reset, and the "ABC" button does not work anymore. Is there any way to "reset" all the settings of that keyboard (perhaps by deleting some reg keys)? Thanks in advance!
This has happened to me, too. Keen for an answer. Thanks

Aswers like this is just what this community needs....
ontopic:
The font problem occurs when you use a ROM that does not has the Manila plugin. If you do have it you might want to hide and show your keyboard to fix the issue.
I've attached a CAB that makes the font change from Helvetica to Segoeui it should make look your keboard just fine.
It's part of my personal tweaks so don't know where the original came from...

I've tried the .cab. Thanks for that.. the font now looks close to the original one,..almost..but not the same..
Still looks ok tho, I'm going to use it for the time being.
I think we're heading to the right direction.

Yes, I had. I just uninstalled it and my Full Qwerty SIP is back to normal. Thanks a million for the hint. Now we need to go after Tene and ask him to fix that bug ;-)
Hi guys, I recently noticed that i cant use any of the stock keyboards for texting because when i try to type, it only shows as numbers or on the full qwerty keyboard wont let me go to the "ABC" view and wont let me use regular letters, or type. If anyone could help it would be great because its very frustrating!
I had the same yesterday, after updating to 2.03.404.3 NLD !
Don't know if it has anyting to do with this rom... I also changed some settings by diamond tweak. Today the problem is gone, but I don't know what caused it :-(
Bump, its still an issue till this day i need help fast!
Download and install this cab and you will be fine....
Here You Go...

Hi,
I had the same problem and for me it was an issue with T9 : you'll have to disable T9 SIP with Diamond Tweak and that bug will be over.
regards
Just want to say thanks to all the nice folks here - have joined up the other week after getting my new Diamond - but as yet have had no reason to post as any questions I could have had (including this one!) has been answered many times over!
Cheers!
