Hi, I just read some info about 2 new Diamons for CDMA - first is very, very bad, IMHO has nothing similiar with Diamond (MSM 7500 400MHz, 128MB RAM...), but the second, HTC Victor will have same HW as Diamond, exept 256 MB RAM and 1340mAh battery. So, yes, it wil be thicker, due to batterry, and will least more, but as we know same option will come for us (1340 mAh battery, for the price of thicker phone) but I am not happy for RAM size. Why they didnt equip Diamond with 256 MB RAM ? If they could do it now? More info: http://www.theunwired.net/?item=unc...c-touch-diamond-as-htc-victor-and-htc-diamond

I just got a new XDAIIi, after having a XDAII for three years, thinking I was getting more memory and to be much faster well so hope. So what I want to know where the memory, it telling me I have RAM 128mb and Flash 64mb but on the website it says it has 128mb of both, could someone tell me where it is before I go back to O2 shop.
Thanks
James
It does only have 128MB shared storage and program memory and 64MB Storage.
Why does it say that it has 128 of both???? Is it a lie?
I think, can't remember for sure, but 64MB is taken up by the flash ROM. 64MB is available as storage.
Another twist on numbers from O2.
Yes, 64 mb of flash is taken by windows and some progs.
other 64 are available as storage. (64+64=128)
and 128 mb ram. so 256 total.
This is what it says on the O2 web site and the main reson for getting this XDA2i and not the Xda Exec. Would it be better to get the Xda Exec?
Processor Type: Intel Xscale PXA272 520MHz
128 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM
3.5" Transflective 65,536 colour LCD (1.3m pixels)
VGA Camera 1.3 Megapixels
Somebody have experience to replace the Toshiba MK4009GAL 1.8" ATA100, with 64 SDD.
Any hardware compatibility problems, is it the same connection??
Hello TheoMobile,
You have to give us more details regarding the SSD you're mentionning.
By the way, I recommend the following threads regarding Storage upgrades:
Upgrading the HDD
and
5 mm 1.8" hard drive the max?
We have covering many topics. Sure you can have a better picture by reading those.
Hi,
I have the Samsung mccoe64gempp-01a SSD with 64GB.
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/productInfo.do?fmly_id=161&partnum=MCCOE64GEMPP
It has 5mm and fits like the original HD.
Performance is a little bit better, but not the money worth.
Indeed, soooo expensive!
Performances : I expect the 1GB memory capacity and low bandwith are still the main limitation drivers with your improved setup (not mentionning the CPU raw horsepower...).
Comments on battery life with the ssd drive? Better? the same?
It's think it's better, but haven't tried it that much.
I've been wanting to buy a HTC Hero for some time now thinking it has way better specs then my G1. But it doesn't.
From what I've found out is that all HTC android devices.
(HTC DREAM) G1 :
Processor Qualcomm MSM7201A
Clockspeed 528 MHz
Internal flashmemory 1 GB
(HTC MAGIC) G2 :
Processor Qualcomm MSM7201A
Clockspeed 528 MHz
Internal flashmemory 512 MB
HTC HERO:
Processor Qualcomm MSM7200
Clockspeed 528 MHz
Internal flashmemory 512 MB
Please tell me that this isn't true. if it is the Dream would be the fastest of all Androids at the moment.
Woah, where are you getting those specs?!
Yes, all 3 android phones have the same CPU.
That says the dream has a 1GB nand? It has 192mb RAM and 256mb ROM.
The Magic has 192mb RAM, 512mb ROM
The Rogers Magic has 288mb RAM, 512 ROM
The Hero has 288mb RAM, 512 ROM.
Hero Specs
Dream Specs
Magic Specs
Hmm apparently all magics has 288mb RAM, thought that was only Rogers..
Also, even if those specs were right, bigger nand/ROM doesn't mean the phone will be faster, just that it has more space for apps (depending on how the nand is partitioned).
Yeah I was also suprised when I saw those specs i thought somthing was wrong.
They also released the Samsung I7500 Android device in Germany just the other day.
Also those specs are not that great.

You know what, alot of places/sites list the SD card's memory as G1 memory. It is bs, but they still do it. Just read the tech specs/detailed specs, it should show the truth somewhere.
hay there,
just womdering which graphics card was the best from the two i have, in terms of throughput and technical details the two cards are both agp 8x and theyre a ATI X1300 256 DDR2
or a
GeForce 6200 256 DDR2
anybody know which of these is better
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpage/257
mind you having more mem on a video card will never make it faster unless the game use large enough textures otherwise the mem is just left empty
x1300 but i think they are the same.
I had an x1300 out of an old dell. Then i bought a HD 4650 for £36.50
flyboy
i ordered this laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215197 and well i wanna upgrade it to 8 gigs (2 2GB) it says it has DDR3 1066 can it take this kind?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231295
or should i just get this kind?

i like G.skill and i have allways used there ram and never had a problem with them
Go with the cheaper kit. It won't make any noticeable difference.
Like stated already, go with the cheapest.
thanks for the help!
