I've been wanting to buy a HTC Hero for some time now thinking it has way better specs then my G1. But it doesn't.
From what I've found out is that all HTC android devices.
(HTC DREAM) G1 :
Processor Qualcomm MSM7201A
Clockspeed 528 MHz
Internal flashmemory 1 GB
(HTC MAGIC) G2 :
Processor Qualcomm MSM7201A
Clockspeed 528 MHz
Internal flashmemory 512 MB
HTC HERO:
Processor Qualcomm MSM7200
Clockspeed 528 MHz
Internal flashmemory 512 MB
Please tell me that this isn't true. if it is the Dream would be the fastest of all Androids at the moment.
Woah, where are you getting those specs?!
Yes, all 3 android phones have the same CPU.
That says the dream has a 1GB nand? It has 192mb RAM and 256mb ROM.
The Magic has 192mb RAM, 512mb ROM
The Rogers Magic has 288mb RAM, 512 ROM
The Hero has 288mb RAM, 512 ROM.
Hero Specs
Dream Specs
Magic Specs
Hmm apparently all magics has 288mb RAM, thought that was only Rogers..
Also, even if those specs were right, bigger nand/ROM doesn't mean the phone will be faster, just that it has more space for apps (depending on how the nand is partitioned).
Yeah I was also suprised when I saw those specs i thought somthing was wrong.
They also released the Samsung I7500 Android device in Germany just the other day.
Also those specs are not that great.

You know what, alot of places/sites list the SD card's memory as G1 memory. It is bs, but they still do it. Just read the tech specs/detailed specs, it should show the truth somewhere.

Hi, I just read some info about 2 new Diamons for CDMA - first is very, very bad, IMHO has nothing similiar with Diamond (MSM 7500 400MHz, 128MB RAM...), but the second, HTC Victor will have same HW as Diamond, exept 256 MB RAM and 1340mAh battery. So, yes, it wil be thicker, due to batterry, and will least more, but as we know same option will come for us (1340 mAh battery, for the price of thicker phone) but I am not happy for RAM size. Why they didnt equip Diamond with 256 MB RAM ? If they could do it now? More info: http://www.theunwired.net/?item=unc...c-touch-diamond-as-htc-victor-and-htc-diamond
HTC lists the CDMA hero as having 288MB of RAM but any app that I've ever had that reads memory always lists the max as 190 to 191MB of RAM max. Anyone know why?
Hey guys, I got a 20 notebooks from a friend, his father had a lab, that closed. the specs are:
IBM ThinkPad R51 2887-AVG:
CPU: Intel Pentium M Processor 715 (2M Cache, 1.50 GHz, 400 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15" TFT 1024 x 768
CHIPSET: Mobile Intel 855GME
GPU: Intel Extreme Graphics 2
IBM ThinkPad R61i 7650-D7G/D6G
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5450 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15.4" TFT 1280x800
CHIPSET: Mobile Intel GM965
GPU: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
hp Compaq nx7300:
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5500 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15.4" TFT 1280x800
CHIPSET: Mobile Intel 945GM
GPU: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Lenovo Y510:
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5450 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
LCD: 15.4" TFT 1280x800
GPU: nVidia GeForce 8400M GS
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 500GB
Only the Y510 has a charger, but not battery. Other miss HDD, RAM, charger.
How much can I get for all of them? I tested each one of them, and they working fine, also I don't have a battery for each one, but the batteries I have, has a very little wear on them, if it's important. I plan to sell on eBay, as I used to sell my stuff there, and also, second hand market, at my country suck. Anyway let me know what they forth, thank you for help.
IBM R51: 100~150$
R61i/nx7300: 150~230$
Y510: 200$ (I still have one of them in my room, my first computer with discrete VGA . All of my PC before that's enlighted with Intel crap onboard GPU )
Really? Hmm, just to be clear, they don't have hdd, ram, charger, but again, I have tested all of them, with some spare parts I have, and they 100% in working condition, add a ram, hdd and charger, and you good to go.

I may add 512mb of ram, but I don't have enough, for all of them.

SO that's my question.. why 32 Gb version has an slower clock? All versions of Xiaomi mi5 have the same processor Snapdragon 820, so there is any reason why the 32Gb has an slower clock speed? It's just undercloked by Xiaomi for being less powerful so you buy the expensive one, or it has some difference with the other versions?
Thanks!
To diffirentiate from the more expensive versions, it also has lower memory clocks 1333 Mhz instead of 1866 Mhz. The cpu can probably be overclocked to 2.15 again in the future with custom kernels, the memory probably not. Worst case scenario the Snapdragon 820 in the 32 gb model has worse cpu binning and are actually worse than the ones in the 64 and 128 gb and shouldn't be clocked higher, we don't know this though and hopefully it isn't.
Hi, I'm really interested in buying a Xiaomi Mi5, but uncertain on which one to buy. 32 GB is more than enough for me, my doubts are in performance.
Dual-core 1.8 GHz Kryo & Dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo vs Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & Dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo
Adreno 530 GPU 510 MHz vs Adreno 530 GPU 624 MHz
3 GB LPDDR4 RAM 1333 MHz Dual Channel vs 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM 1866 MHz Dual Channel
Does these different specs have a big impact on performance? Is it worth the price difference?

What will you use it for? If for intensive gaming or video recording, CPU & RAM speed matters, a lot.
Thanks for the video @silverback, but I was looking for something more than benchmarks, like "normal" use, will I experience any slowdowns or lag with the 32 GB version compared to the 64?

Not heavy gaming, but some multitasking. That's what worries me.
Where I want to buy, it's almost 50€ difference.
Even the underclocked SD820 and the slower ram are very fast. You shouldn't have any problems / slowdowns.

The 32GB version would be fine for that.
