Links to local documents in Calender - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I wonder if there is a way to make a link to a document (Word/PDF) I have on my storage card and place the link in the Notes-part of the Calender?
I have quite a lot of Calender-appointments where there is more information about the appointment in a separate document, and it would be great if I could make a link to that document somewhere in the appoíntment.

Pocket Outlook message templates

I have some standard information (client report) that I send into the office every day.
Is there any way I can create some kind of template message with headings that I can fill in each day?
Alternatively is there a way of putting carriage returns into My Text; that would do it.
Currently I'm using Mortscript to generate the message, but it's not as robust as I'd like.
Cheers
Can't you use a Word template and Email the resulting docx/rtf/txt file as an attachment?
Using attachments isn't really a good solution.
The client reports get emailed to the office where they arrive in a public folder. These are from time-to-time searched for certain strings, for example if we want to find a client who uses a particular piece of software. If the reports are in attachments the search won't work, I think.
Why don't you just build a shell or example in word or notepad. Then you could just copy and paste it in your email. It's an extra step but works ok.

How to store mails and appointments in Internal memory

Do you know if it is possible to change the location where the appointments in Calendar and mail in Messaging are stored?
I have only 2 Mb's of store memory and I would like to change the location where the mail and appointments are stored from the store memory to the internal memory.
Thanks.
use the search tool before posting
I did it. I only found something to change the store location for mails but not for appointments.
Thanks for your interest.
But maybe you use the search tool better than me. Did you find the answer to my question? If yes, you spend more or less the same time saying to use the search tool than inserting the answer.

RSS Feed Folders - Web Site

Friends,
I know this is off the pda topic and I have been searching high/low but have came up empty.
I am the author of the web site: www.invisiblelight.us and would like to add RSS feeds. I understand the basics and how to add them to a html file, but here is the fun part. I have folders on the site that have sub-folders of files and would like to have RSS feeds to my subscribers on what changes occur.
Please advise.
Tvos
How many RSS feeds are you wanting?
Normally you'd just have one (say on the news page) and then add the code for that there. Not every page needs to have a feed... or does it? All pages could have links to the newa page, which has the RSS Code?
Just my 2c's...

Dave
i don't need RSS feeds on the main web site, visitors access my material
which I have a folder listing of files - audio/video, text etc.. I want to have the user be able to subscribe to one feed which then will notify of any changes, updates, deletes, on the root and child folders.
better example, please visit my site: www.invisiblelight.us and you will see what I am talking about in the journals-stats-audio/video section.
thank you,

sending contact details on HD7

Does anyone know if you can send contact details via bluetooth or sms to another phone from an HD7? As you can't copy & paste do i have to write it all out?
There is a paid app called Forward Contacts available in Marketplace which has been released recently and seems to do what you are asking in that it can use sms or email to forward contacts.
Other than via an app, there doesn't seem to be any way of doing this. Nodo will make it a bit easier by allowing the copying and pasting of contact info into a message, but the way I often do it is to go onto my PC and email the contact card from Outlook.
Not ideal, but is a reasonable work-around for the time being.

[Q] Migrating from Symbian to Android OS (Contacts, Messages, Notes, Calendar)

My main concern is to move my contacts from Nokia N95 8gb (Symbian) to Galaxy Note. I do not want to do Google sync as there's lot of contacts and email ids already in my Gmail account. I don't want to mix it up. I don't have an outlook account as well. Please tell me a way out.
Is there any solution for transferring messages, calendar and notes as well? I don't mind doing this manually but contacts are difficult. Thank you.
Contact is easiest
First open contacts in symbian, option mark all - copy to memory card
Now copy other/contacts folder from your memory card n put in memory card of android
Open contact in android - option(menu) - import/export - import from SD card - select multifiles from available option - and GO
there is google calender sync application available for Symbian, backed up, then download in android by sync
same way a application is available for SMS backup to gmail for android, i forget name right now

Click to collapse
wow.. that was easy. i never knew there was an option called "copy to memory card" in symbian. very smooth and all details gets copied, not just the first number in a contact.
google calendar is a good option. although i thought of copying manually just this months' appointments and anniversaries. if you sync then even the old 3 or 4 year old entries get copied which is of no use.
i couldn't find any google sms backup. but i did find another excellent alternative. first follow the steps in this link:
http://www.simail.si/nokia2androidsms/
after that use this application from the following link to complete the transfer
http://android.riteshsahu.com/apps/sms-backup-restore
it has all instructions. very useful if you collect huge amount of sms and don't want to let go.
copying notes, i guess normal Bluetooth transfers would do.
thanks doc
For calender since b4 android i switched to google, just reason is it remind you with sms too, so nothing like backup needed ne more. Once make entry on pc, n forget
