i just replaced a new LCD+touchscreen on my 8125 (G3) and i can't connect it on ActiveSync... it simply wont recognize it.. even before i changed it i wasnt able to connect ppc to computer... but when i attach the usb to PC i hear the voice of something connected on USB port, and than the ballon pops out and says me the device was not properly connected...
i've tried changing older and newer ActiveSync's programs, they all function as same... when i press camera+soft reset (bootloader mode) i get the bootload mode and on the bottom i can see when i attach USB... but still it wont update any ROM to PPC... i even tried removing the mark from ActiveSync menu saying ''Allow USB Connection with this desktop computer'' but still it says me device not recognized... wtf?!?! I cant do nothing, upload ROMs neither browse...
please any help appreciated...
and yes, i tried hard reset too and i get the same... tomorrow ill go on 2nd PC to try on it but i have a feeling i'll get the same error there...

Which Windows are you at ? use winXP SP2,disable anti virus if any installed, also disable any firewall even windows own firewall.Disconnect phone from the usb cable and remove any sdcard if any.
Uninstall Active sync,Reboot Pc,open Windows Task Manager--->Processes Tab--->End wescomm.exe process.Reconnect phone via usb cable, get your phone into boot loader mode, check small usb appear a the bottom of bootloader screen and run the ruu...,hope it'll work out.
For Active sync connectivity, reinstall ,make sure no anti virus or firewall is running, connect phone with usb and let it synchronise.
Is your usb cable compatible, does it charge ?,if not,get a new usb cable. secondly, check if your mini usb port of your phone is working or it might be damaged.

Try this, on the 8125 run activesync, if you have partnerships there (IE. if the screed has "windows PC" on it), then go to "menu" on the lower right, then "Options" then select the "Windows PC" and delete it. Delete all partnerships that you have.
Then close activesync on the 8125 and go to "Start/setings/Connections/" and open your "connections". Do you have connections set-up? Make sure you have at least one connection set-up. Then close that and open your "USB to PC" is "Enable advanced network functionality" is the box checked? if it's not then check it (if it is then uncheck it), then connect your BSB cable and see if activesync on the PC will detect it.
If it does then set-up a new partnership.

Well I think you have a damaged mini usb port of your phone, for info read this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334440
I have been trying to resolve my AS Not Connected for a long time, over 1 year. I have tried all know recommendation/solutions to no avail.
Have read that FixASRunAT will fix the problem. Go to:
http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc/FixASRunAt.zip
I downloaded it last night and will try reconnect tomorrow as I am out of town and cannot try AS now. iWill report back the results.
If this works for you, let us know. Wish you luck as I need it, too.

Although it is possible to perform all actions with BT,like you do with normal active sync connectivity via usb,but No,You cannot flash a new rom through BT,you got to have a physical connectivity established between phone and your pc via usb and usb is shown at the bottom of the bootloader screen.Even during active sync connection, while flashing active sync is automatically disabled by the RUU and the flashing is still carried out by usb only.
crap... so the only logical solution that has left me is to give ppc to sum1 who will desolder/resolder the miniUSB connection back again... but still, i dont get it, i opened few times and i dont see any wire in miniUSB connector loosen or bricked... everything is fixed and on its place...

That's it !!!
there might be a tiny contact of the mini usb port which needs to solder, these tiny contacts are not sometimes visible to the naked eye,it can only be verified by checking with 'Voltmeter' and this can only be done by a person who has some knowledge about electronics repair and soldering. If you can do it,get a Voltmeter and can check the connectivity of all the five tiny connectors, good luck
dont worry i got this ****ing problem too
bootloader mode works but.....
I CANT CHARGE or CONNECT ON ACTIVE SYNC
BS!!!!!!
Mine will charge No Prob with both PC/USB Cable and Standard charger,PC takes FOREVER,It recongnizes a Smart Phone on both XP and Windows 7 but then says Not Installed correctly,No Drivers, ect. It has to be a Hardware issue with the Port or something,In "Comm Manager" there is always a "Check" Mark through the Activesync Selection,no way to get it to "enable" on the Phone Screen....Phone is not worth enough to hassle fixing it,it works fine,I have to use another phone to put stuff on my storage card, can I load windows 6.5 and unlock with the SD Card method? Thanks,Vegas
Ok, I posted a thread on the main wizard forum and I'm trying again here since this is a little more on topic in this forum.
Here goes with all the technical specifics I can add in.
I recently got an HTC 8125 (I've had one before and never had this problem)
I immediately CID and SIM unlocked the phone using lokiwiz's unlocking program.
I inserted my tmobile sim into the cingular 8125 and all was great.
I upgraded the ROM to the TNT 19199 batch of WM6.1 Everything is still great.
The phone worked awesome, the next day I downloaded the T-Mobile UK radio version 2.19.11.
I flashed it to the phone and everything seemed fine, the program finished and the phone restarted.
Upon restart I was greeted with a no service message and the phone behaves as though it is shutoff. No big deal, right? WRONG...
I went to the tmobile and cingular site and got the default roms from each just in case.
I then connected the phone to the usb and activesync would not recognize the phone, or do anything for that matter.
I used an external USB bluetooth dongle to try and connect the phone to the PC to flash the default rom and fix the radio problem, this wouldn't work either.
I then put the phone into bootloader mode, this works ok, I see the USB in the corner and figure I'm saved. Nope.
I ALWAYS get an Error Connecting from the rom software. Even though my PC recognizes the phone, active sync does not. I re-installed Activesync and rebooted my computer numerous times. To no avail.
The ONLY rom software I which has worked is the TNT 19199 but it doesn't fix the lack of radio.
Here are some other points of interest. On phone bootup I get this:
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
<----Notice, NOTHING in the GSM spot.
OS 1.11.1.0.1 (or whatever the numbers are for that particular rom)
The USB will recognize the phone ONLY in bootloader mode, otherwise when the phone is on the Today screen I get no recognition.
The TNT rom has worked twice when I tried it, (by worked I mean it allowed me to re-flash the same rom) Of course the TNT rom doesn't work all the time, it has given me several connection errors.
No other rom has worked as of yet, all others give me a connection error.
The battery meter will not display, nor will it tell me what type of battery or how much charge is left.
The phone will sometimes go to amber light when plugged into the wall charger but NEVER with the usb to PC cable.
I can still navigate around the windows mobile 6.1 interface though it moves incredibly SLOW. i.e. I pushed the comm manager button to make sure the phone didn't simply get shutoff and I waited about a minute and a half or longer for it to bring up the comm manager.
I need some severely good advice and some new tricks to try, I'm running out of ideas, I saw several threads under the HTC TyTn threads about similar problems and something about the IPL/SPL being important but I'm not sure what they're talking about. I have searched this forum and I have found people talking about similar problems, all the responses point to, "If you can get to the bootloader you're fine." This is incorrect.
So seriously, help me out here.
HOW DO I FIX MY STINKIN' PHONE.
I would suggest rolling back to your working configuraton by reflashing using a memory card instead of the USB.
fixed.
Actually I finally figured it out.
It seemed the reason that those roms worked sometimes but not others was this: To get the phone to recognize you had to do things in a VERY specific sequence.
You had to let the phone boot all the way into WM6 and then plug in the usb cable. Then put it into bootloader with the camera / soft reset button method. Then you waited for the nice USB connect sound, and began the ROM flash RUU program. (In this case it was the T-Mobile default rom).
Once that was done the phone acts as normal and everything is good.
Doing anything out of order or putting the phone into bootloader without it having first booted all the way to the OS would give you the connect error.
Please clarify if you're running WM6 with IPL/SPL 1.xx? I believe that's not possible to get good results that way.
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
<----Notice, NOTHING in the GSM spot.
OS 1.11.1.0.1 (or whatever the numbers are for that particular rom)
TNT 19199 batch of WM6.1
Wm6.1 on ipl/spl 1.xx,strange ,how do you explain this, how did you manage to get wm6 installed with ipl/spl 1.xx,cuz it only works on ipl/spl 2.xx and higher. Are you sure its TNT 19199 series wm6.1 Rom ?
Ok, I'm a new HTC Trinity owner (its the Orange SPV M700 variant to be exact), i've had an SPV M500 for many years now and decided it was time for an upgrade.
I would love to get WM6 on there and there is an enormous amount of support all over the place for just that purpose but i've run into a problem at the first hurdle.
I found the WM6 Upgrade guide on trinityguides.info and as the first thing on the list was Hard-SPL, and that Hard-SPL would stop me from bricking my nice shiney new trinity i thought that was a pretty good thing to try out.
I plug the USB in, active sync sees it, i run the 'ROMUpdateUtility.exe' file and check the boxes, get to the screen where it connects with the phone, click next, the phone pops up 'EnterBootLoader is trying to run, allow?' i hit yes and it goes to the bootloader..
Trouble is, when it goes out of WM5 and into the bootloader it disconnects from activesync and so the ROM update utility just fails, says its lost connection with the device..
Am i missing something here?
Turns out i fixed it, aren't i just the little genious..
For anyone else who has this issue and stumbles over this thread:
Go to Settings > Connections > USB to PC and uncheck 'Enable advanced network functionality'
Hey folks,
I've tried several things after reading several threads, and have managed to not brick my phone so far, but not unlock it either. I'm aiming to only do the second without doing the first...
As I'm using Vista, I'm having no success using HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1 through the Windows Mobile Device Manager. Am I going to be able to do this using my mini-SD card?
I've tried to think it through, but would favour someone else's opinion before I do it.
If I was to put SSPL-Trin.exe into my Trinity memory, then rename TRINunlockv1.nbh to TRINimg.nhb and put that on my mini SD-card, and add Trin_Unlock_v1 to the card, ran SSPL_Trin.exe then put the memory card into the slot, would that solve anything? Or are there better ways to do it?
Any advice gratefully received.
I'm really struggling here guys... Whenever I manage to get any form of SPL open, with the fancy triband of red, green, blue (and a white band underneath), it doesn't allow me to do anything. It just sits there reading "TRIN100 IPL-0.50" or "TRIN100 IPL-SSPL by Des" (depending on how I get there) in the top of the red band, and underneath that it says "TRIN100 SPL-1.07.0000". At the bottom of the screen, in the white band, it reads either "USB" or "Serial" depending on whether the USB is plugged in or not.
I had the RUU in the root directory of my mini-SD card, and nothing happened. When I tried running it remotely from my PC, the same thing happened, but as it went into the SPL screen, Vista stopped detecting my trinity as a device.
Any hints or clues how to get further into the SPL. Is there something I need to do when I get to the triband screen? AARRGGHH!!
Mine's an Orange SPV m700, to which I've done nothing before now. (So Operator version 19.123.1.615, ROM verstion 1.23.61.5, ROM date 01/25/07, Radio version 1.30.00.01 and Protocol version 32.63.7020.08H)

Could you please tell me what kind of sd do you have? is it a micro sd plugged to a mini sd adapter, and what capacity?
I won't ask you if you formatted the card as FAT32 and with no label.
Please try to install Olios's hardspl_120 :
first boot om WM5, copy SSPL-TRIN.exe and the hard-spl nbh that is renamed to trinimg.nbh, and run SSPL-TRIN.exe, that will get you in the famous tricoloured screen and you will see a white screen with procesing and then with checking and after this it will prompt you to push the power button to start upgrade.
good luck!
Mini-SD is an Integral 2GB card, actual Mini-SD, not a conversion... Just triple checked, and it is Fat32 and unlabled (which I thought is what I had, so I'm not going mad). I've tried flashing using Vista Sync Centre without the mini-SD in place, but that hasn't helped either.
Olipros Hard-SPL is the one I've been trying to install, but when I get to the triband screen, it flashes very quickly to a white screen (for about a tenth of a second) and then just stays on the triband screen... It doesn't give me an option to hit the power button to start an install.
I'm going to try to download another version of TRIN-SPL or something similar, as I can't get in to the bootloader screen to do anything.

Actually for flashing you will need a card in the pda. One more thing, after you try to flash from your SD card, and you end up in the tri-band screen, could you check if have a temporary folder on the card, i can't remember the name, and for me that was i confirmation that the trin actually tried to read the cad.
I had a 8g card, that was not recognized, and i tried with the original 512m card.
So please do not despair, at the end you will managed to do it.
Interesting - it's still not going from the triband screen into the processing screen, and it doesn't seem to be accessing the card when it enters SSPL-TRIN. Guess it's a case of either getting a new mini-SD card (probably a sandisk one), or going the IMEI route to unlocking. Don't really want to go that way, but it should just work. I'm pretty sure that was the card I got with the phone, and as it was 2GB I didn't bother getting another at the time...
Is there anything wrong with using IMEI unlock, other than it being lazy and not allowing me to have as much fun updating my phone? Thanks for all the advice so far.
Just a thought - is there some way I can change the boot order of the Trin? Just thinking Windows and the way you can change the boot order from hard drive to CD or DVD etc...
Hi All,I bought an 8125 Cingular Device (I am att),it had shells, and programs installed and unistalled so many time along with must have been 25 different trick little "Mod" programs, this thing didn't know which way was up, So I cleared the Storage and let it download all of the default stuff, THE IPL/SPL are both at 2.25. The Computer won't recognize the USB Connection though I can recharge through the port just fine, when in "Com Manager" there is no way to enable Activesync,no matter what it has a "Check" through it,i think it is hardware screwed inside. It has Windows 5 on it ROM Version 2.25.11.1 WWE Dated 5/11/2006,Radio 2.25.11,Protocol 4.1.13.12,Ext Rom Version2.25.11.102,I have tried many different things to get it to recognize the USB to Activesync with no go. I don't think it is CID unlocked or SIM Unlocked. Is there a way to Upgrade my ROM (from what I gather it is a G4)using the Storage Card? There was a shell from SPB on it that was all screwed up with Pocket Plus 3.2 ,My son put a SHell on it 3.01 Final in order to try to make it behave better,It was some better but it has had so many Mods in and out of it with I am sure shared files being deleted that I decided to clear storage.SO,Now I am back to stock with the SPL/IPL at 2.25 and A Non Functioning USB COnnection,I know the Cable and PC are good as we have several other smartphones in the House all working fine. I would like to put the Wizard 6.5 or a Cooked 6.1 on it.I have downloaded the 6.5 ruu and was hoping to install it with the storage card method.can the phone be unlocked by placing the lokiwizprog on the storage card with the PC?Thank You in Advance for any Info you can provide in Advance. I have read probably too many threads and confused and probably over complicated the process.I have seen the "bricked" posts and don't want to go there. It is not a matter of laziness that has me inquiring,I have upgraded several different types of phones and have been in the Satellite Hobby Many years ,so I am fluent in Flashing Chips, loading software ect. So Far I have Downloaded "the Buttom Rom","Lokiwizb", and the "6.5 Wizard Rom"Thanks,Vegas
In short you won’t be able to do any of the things you want without a functioning USB port.
So let’s find out if the USB port really doesn’t work.
Turn the phone off, press and hold the camera key, now insert the USB data cable, you must continue to press and hold the camera key until you see the boot loader screen.
On the boot loader screen you will see IPL SPL and on the bottom of the screen USB, if you don’t see the USB on the bottom of the screen then something is wrong with the USB port.
You suggest your phone is a G4 yet you put IPL\SPL “2.25”
If your IPL\SPL 2.25 = G3
If your IPL\SPL 2.25.0001 = G4
Same Issue
I'm having same problem on my wizard, however I resoldered the mini USB port.
It did pop up in Win 7 x64 generic RNDIS driver not installed, no other indications of it being connected, charges fine, boot loader detects USB at bottom of screen, tested on XP also with no positive results.
