Nav sensor to scroll in more applications - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Just posting a wishlist for the scrowheel function of the nav sensor. The other hacks are great but these woul really make the diamond's scrollwheel live up to the blackberry's functionality.
Scrolling through email inbox
Reading emails
Scrolling through SMS/MMS inbox
Reading SMS/MMS conversation threads
Reading word documents
And maybe just a general step by step guide to doing it by yourself for certain programs?

show original message when reply to sms text

I was wondering if there is a setting to show the previous replies in an sms message. it seems like on the blackberry pearl when you texted back and forth it would just update the thread. now when i am replying to a text there is no previous message showing and you have to cancel back out to re-read it. Any way around this?
Have a look at the excellent PocketCM . It is a brilliant contacts manager and it also does threaded SMS. It is very finger/thumb friendly as is the PCM keyboard available from the same site. The author is active on these boards.
I was going to suggest PocketCM as well. Yes the Kaiser has touchflo and you can scroll your contacts without pocketcm but pocketpc actually scrolls your contacts at a different speed based on how fast you flick your finger and I have really loved how the contact detail page shows up and the threaded sms view. I would try pocketcm for sure.

Remove threaded messages

Hello, I'm a newbie here. I have a ATT Tilt. I love the phone. However I hate the threaded messages. Whenever I receive a new text, the message contents are displayed on the screen. Some of my messages are private, and if some is using my phone or I am showing someone something, they can read my message. Is there anyway to remove this?
Please help
Thanks
threaded? - that's not threaded, threaded sms is where multiple sms messages are grouped together. What you are talking about is just a notification. Go into sound settings and turn off the "display message on screen" for New SMS messages
Thanks!
... so how exactly does threaded sms work
DELETED - double post
I guess the easiest comparison would be "gmail". Have you ever seen how gmail displays email messages? It basically threads all related messages together. Since text messages don't really keep a history of the current conversation, threaded text messages allow the user to see the history of the conversation all threaded together. Take a look a gmail account and it will make total sense. The Palm devices that run WM had a thread sms application but regular WM devices lilke the Tilt don't have it by default.
I was just thinking of that. So its similar to Gmail conversations... Is it based on Ajax technology as well?......Is it auto enabled, or do I have to enable it?

Replying to a text/threaded texts...

Threaded texting was annoying me because the screen I was typing my message out on was miniscule, even without the keyboard in the way.Was just wandering if there is any was of getting more screen space in threaded messages without disabling threaded messages altogether?
Thanks,
S.
p.s. sorry for my noob questions at the moment.
you can use the zoom function (navigation wheel) to reduce the fontsize
You can increase the number of lines in the reply box - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404396

Different SMS applications on TD2 ?

When I open an SMS by touching the message on TF3D it opens another dialog than from the SMS inbox. I prefer the thread dialog from SMS inbox. Is there a possibility to tweak TF3D to uses this application?
Your question is a bit unclear. On my Topaz the threaded inbox is being used by default when thicking a message from the TF3D inbox.
Yes, you are right but try the following
- from TF3D open the SMS inbox (you will see the list of all recieved SMS)
- click on an SMS
Also a thread presentation will be shown but different from the one out of TF3D.
I assume from inbox it uses the WM email application. For example now you can use the pre-prepared short texts as within the email function.
Is it understandable what I mean?
the 1 from the TF3D sucks. lets say you're text'ing & accidentally close the SMS, your SMS wont be saved automatically in the draft folder.
Personally, I ditched the TF3D after a week of having it. it looks nice, but quite redundant for what I need.

Registry edit to disable slide to switch inboxes possible? (SMS, outlook, etc)

I don't really use my phone for email, I really only use SMS. So when I'm in my SMS inbox, if I slide my finger to the left or right then it will switch over to Outlook inbox. This can get very annoying, especially when I'm trying to touch to select one of my messages because it will sometimes accidentally slide to Outlook instead. Is there any possible way (registry edit?) to disable this sliding to switch inboxes thing?
