Blocked on the bootloader screen : Connection error

Hi,
I try since 3 days to update my rom with the file from HTC e-club (RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_Ship.exe) but when I execute the file there is the bootloader (tricolor) screen with the SPL version 1.06 and nothing until there is an 'connextion error 260' on my PC screen.
I don't know how to do please help !

hmmm... i'm not too sure about this one.. have you tried just flashing hard-spl or something while you're in bootloader screen?
also, sometimes it takes trying more than once to get splxploit to do its thing.. Is there a message with the 260 error? i can't remember which one the 260 is

I tried to install the HardSPL but still the same error : ERROR 260 : CONNECTION ERROR !!!

When there is the "connection error 260" close the upload application and try to relaunch the installing file without deconnecting your usb cable from your ppc.
Besides, in the bottom of the bootloader screen (the white part), it must be written "USB", not "Serial".

It's it was just my ActivSync driver ! I have update it and now it's working.

First off...what version of active sync did you update to? Second....what if the white part of my bootloader screen doesn't say "usb" or "serial"?

I have had the same issue and for some reason only Ro update issue 3.14.4.1 seems to be able to connect to my phone too...
Expolit no longer sees my phone after upgrading to Mary Rom 1.2,
Some one else on here may be able to assist with these details...

There's a slight syntax error in the prog. Just edit the unbrick.bat file, and replace \\.\\WCEUSBSH001 at the end by \\.\WCEUSBSH001 (one less '\'). Did it today after experiencing exactly what you did, worked perfectly, now running just fine with new loader, new radio, new ROM
1) manually start in bootloader mode
2) disable USB in activeSync
3) check 'usb' appears at the bottom of the tricolor screen and that he device is recognized by XP. If not, try unplugging/repluging
4) run the corrected unbrick.bat
5) while still in (new) tricolor screen after loader update, upload a new ROM (might have to reactive USB in activesync, don't remember)
It worked just fine for me, after quite a scary day when I couldn't get anything from my device but 'connexion' errors or 'corrupted image' errors

If you have HardSPL (Olipro 1.20, Olipro 1.30 or Des' Crash Proof) installed, check this and this.

The CID on my trinity is HTC__001, and I can't find any cooked ROM with such CID so I can flash from the miniSD. By the other hand, the white strip of my bootloader reads "Serial". Is there any way I can change that to "USB". Otherwise, all the other ROMs I'm trying are giving me the same 206 communication error.

To whom it might be useful: My bootloader was giving me only Serial connection, and I couldn't make any flash. It ended up being the USB Cable!!! The bad one let me sync, upload/download files, everything exept flashing.

Every WWE ROM available here is HTC_001 CID. So you can flash any WWE ROM with the RUU or by SD.
As for the Serial issue, connect the Device to the PC with the USB cable an it will change to USB.
Be shure to read the Bible first!!!

htc not working
i tried to run splxploit-windows on windows vista, but there is a problem:
[]Spl file: TRIN_HardSPL.nb
\\.\WCEUSBSH001: no such file or directory
cannot connect to \\.\WCEUSBSH001
in my trinity in the red rectangle shows in white letters:
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
then in yellow letters:
Trin100
SPL-1.07.0000
The green and blue rectangles show nothing and the white shows USB.
how can i fix this

Stuck on Splash, can't flash another ROM

A while ago I tried to Flash a version of WM6 from mfrazzz on my wizard. The installation seemed to go ok, but when I boot it up i coudn't get past the second splash screen. I thought the phone was a gonner until last night, when I gave it another shot putting on Button ROM. I followed these instructions and it worked. The instructions also had me unlock the phone, and that worked fine too. after that I tried updating my IPL and SPL, Right now my IPL is 1.05 and SPL is 3.08
After this I tried unsuccessfully to get WM6, I think I started off trying Faria.
(So here is the actual problem)
After I tried installing Faria unsuccessfully, I couldn't get Button ROM back up. I'm stuck on the second splash screen (picture of a mug of beer in front of the Colosseum). I've tried flashing my phone w/ everything i've got, including button ROM and Love, and nothing works. most of the WM6 Update Utilities won't even connect. Button Rom connects, stalls at 98%, finished and says it was a success, but I'm still hung up on the Splash.
(I'm running WinXP w/ SP2)
I really just want something running on this phone, don't care what it is.

Download official stock rom to recover back and download WST_4.2.2 to verify the CID lock/unlock status,most probably its still CID locked.or you can even reflash 'Button's Rom' again.

No, I've tried to reflash button rom many times. It says it works but it gets hung up on the splash. Since I can't get anything to run on it WST won't work (I think)

Yes! WST only works on a working OS,have you tried to flash the official stock rom ?
Don't activesync or establish partnership,better if you altogether disable & close activesync and end process 'WCESCOMM.EXE' in the Task Manager and try to end as many applications running at the background.Don't surf the net,disable all anti virus and firewall.
Simply get the phone into Bootloaders mode,hook up with pc via usb cable,watch small usb appear at the bottom of Bootloader screen and run the Rom,hope it'll work.

I did this when my Wizard stucks on the splash...
Get mtty 1.04 i thin i dont remember exactly but the higher i ever saw.
kill process wcesscom in PC
conect the ppc on Bootloader
click on conection it shows USB if not... start up again the process
then a white screen appears
I type: task 28
then it works a little on some memory directions
I type: task 28 55aa [or something] (its better get the info on wiki cause it works on chip directly)
without unplug the PDA starts the RUU again...
It works for me...
This is a process for HTC Universal but it works on Blue angel and Wizard for sure!
wait a little i will confirm the steps and the exactly words to type in.

you might need clean the ROM or your flash ROM is overcooked.
I can repair your phone !

(then it will work formating and cleaning the DOC

and now type...

it again works on the same process you can close the mtty without unplug your device... update your device with a Stock rom.
Actualy I have issues with mtty i dont know why i can acces to USB it say CMD GOD Damn can anybody helps...

can't solve my t-mobile mda

Who wants to try a new way to go out from stuck splash screen?

Hi I have a problem trying to exit from bootloader a PDA's friend, so how can I get to work the mtty?
Sometimes i gain exit with mtty of bootloader screen just kill usb conn in activesyng letthe device in bootloader an conect... select USB port click on OK button and then task 28 erase DOC Chip and then task 28 55aa ready to reflash the same rom that has the problem.
but now i try it on my device an aku3 ipl spl 3.08... on bootloader in a PC Vaio with XP home SP3and....
it say invalid comand
so the dir is CMD
NOT USB
how can i get usb on the dir?
Any body knows?
i had the mtty .01, 2.11 and 1.42 and no one works

Somebody stole my wizard last night i was waiting for the BUS and two guys atacks me with a knife, they took my Wizard and my money. Again... and in some part i saw somebody called INSANAVACA saying that when the Mtty shows CMD we can put "format" and then choose the A character or B character... one of those options is the OS the other one... Neither him knows jeje and dont remember which one to chose... it starts to clean the DOC Chip.
It maybe works... i cant test it so if anyone can do it please, answer this maybe it works and we can get out of the Splash screens and bootloader stucks.
A long time ago I did this steps but the mtty shows me USB. full charge your batt, remove your SD and SIM card... enter in bootloaders... uncheck the activesync allow USB conection and kill Wcescomm.exe in Win XP taskmanager plug your device to usb, open mtty in all the places works even in the desktop... select USB in the drop menu... a blank screen will appear hit enter if it shows USB your done then... type:
task 28 (hit enter)
--it starts tho the cleaning--- done...
task 28 55aa (it works again in the same thing)
Close the mtty dont unplug your device and reflash it with the stock rom 2.26 Tmobile if you unplug the device you can try to plug it again but in the same port... (but my device is SuperCID unlocked) then goes to the custom ROM.
Maybe the "format" can works if in blank screen shows CMD... try it and let us know what happend ok?
I use the 1.42 Version.

my wizard is stuck at 2nd splash (the one with the ipl,spl,gsm and os versions)
falshing another rom do not fix the problem. ive even downgraded to several WM5 roms like wizard love, button rom and xda-mini s launcher.
i have a g3 cid sim unlocked wizard.
then lately i noticed, after attempting another manual hard reset, it says formatting failed. so maybe i need to force reset it using a pc. but wizard service tool wont work coz it will only work when synced on the pc.
can mtty forceley reset (hard reset) my wizard? how should i do it? what are the commands? thanks

I have redirect to a Universal commands for mtty but i cant be for sure if all works for wizards!
So download the mtty 1.42
Unplug your MiniSD card
Put your Wizard in bootloader mode
Kill the wcescomm or put in activesync not allow usb conections
then open the mtty
in ports or conectios you will see

com2
com3
IRDA
USB
More or less I dont know deppending how many ports does your pc have.
choose USB
Be sure that your batt is almost 80% a 100% will be great but with 80% is fine
After choose USB dont move anymore and click ok... or connect something like that.
A blank white screen appear....
Then hit enter if it shows USB> type exactly this:
task 28

then type exactly this:

It will work again on something and
It will prepare the DOC Chip for the OS (FORMAT)

display damage
i just find out that i damaged the lcd with the f****** glue. i was trying to glue the mask and the glue went on the LCD so i f***** up.
by the way the battery was full recharged, and everything was done like you said.

I download mtty a while back, you know, just in case. Wellllllll, just in case happened yesterday. Mtty made it easy as pie and quick, too. Now, baby's fine and reflashed and happy again!

my friend has the same problem as this, his wizard g4 stuck on splashscreen when he flash love_rom using How to flash a new ROM to your Wizard... a little tutorial!. His problem was solved if he flash rom using this manual (I'm sorry for czech link, english version by Google translator)

I update my rom to MyPPC_MLs_K3.1_0816.zip using jump_1_56 because I can't update without it.
So the phone started normaly but the sound, camera not ok.
So I read that I must update also the radio. I downloaded the Kaiser_Radio_1.71.09.01 from http://webftp.myppc.it/index.php?dir=Kaiser/Radio/
I have found two methods :

I tried it but when the phone is in the bootloader screen, he disappear and make a white page with a blue 'loading...' in the top,
I wait for 10 minutes and nothink ...
So I stopped the procedure, and the phone retart normaly with no problem.
I tried twice, the same problem.
So I start the second method, using the KAISERCustomRUU.exe, and of course jump_1_56 to get the bootloader screen with jump, so the procedure start with no problem until 99% ................. and here .............. ERROR ...
And now when I try to start my mobile phone, I have only t he bottloader screen with my old radio and STOPPPPPP.
In this point I try another time the first procedure with the sd card and radio 1.27.15.32 and nothing ...

try get a hammer and gently hit it as hard as you can for a couple times. here it is! you got a new radio version. i did this with my kaiser because i do not understand why i was so naive when i bought this piece of s#it!

should make sure you Kaiser is "application unlocked", run SDA_ApplicationUnlock installed on your PC then copy sspl 1.56.exe to your device and run it !!!! to solve the problem on the device you must try hard reset at device (Hold Both soft keys in while pushing in Reset button :When prompted push Green Talk Button to clear data )

rom to MyPPC_MLs_K3.1_0816.zip also check the radio version the uploader who left the rom uses that can be of great help since you will know which one to use.

First to restart my mobile phone I have used the mtty.exe with this manipulations :
1. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
2. put your device into the cradle
3. Run mtty and Choose WCEUSBSH001 in 'PORT' (if it doesn't show then you didn't stop all active sync processes above!)
4. type "set 16 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset. (for some devices it can also be "set 14 0")
5. type "task 8" to get your device formatted
6. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot
7. take the device out of the cradle, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.

Second problem is to update radio, I have mysteriously found a link to a ROM update of orange France, after installing iit, my radio become 1.65.16.25 with WM6.1, I wasn't satisfied with the orange rom so I tried to install the MLS K3.1,
AND NOW .... all it's ok, sound, photo, bluetooth.
One more question please : do you think that I use my mobile with this radio or it's better to me to update it to 1.71.... is there a very difference or no ???

now I have another problem, I think that it's big one, I think that it's a big one, I explain.
I tried to install a new dialer, so I installed it into the phone, the phone restart ... and now nothing, he reboot continually.
I tried mtty with set 16 0, task 8, after task 0, and here he doesn't boot, I see the orange logo with the r ... g ... B .... in the left down and here STOP.
I tried Hard reset, 100 % ok BUT NOW I see only logo of Orange but not radio version, from version, nothing only the Orange logo.
So I flash with the original ROM of Orange, all is ok until 100 % but the same, he reboot, I see orange logo, 5 seconds after he rebbot another time, Orange logo, 5 seconds, reboot ....
Please help me to resolve the problem.
after 5 minutes without battery, I get the information in the left down and the mobile start with the WM6.1.
So I can't install a new dialer :-((

If I leave the simcard in the phone but I start with the Off line mode, it's ok, Just I change the mode to telephone here .... reboot ...... what the dialer have made in my phone ???????

i'm going crzay from the hspl
the auto flash dosn't work
and the manual flash file when i run it the device is lag
so i get into the bootloader by pressing volum down and power then realese
and i start the manul flahs then here is the 7 pictures i put it in zip file cu they more than 4 file
hope we fix the proplem

Might have been more help asking in the hspl thread but nevermind . Try a different cable (most mini usb cables will do)

no need to go crazy, this can be fixed.
you shouldn't enter the bootloader yourself, it won't flash that way.
what error did it say in automatic mode?

i change the usb and disable the proxy and turn off all my firewall and antivirus
i think the proplem from something lagging from the hspl software
cuz i enter the bootloader and i start manual flash and it's respond and show to me the update button and i press it and tell my software version and if i wanna change to oilnex version and i press it and show to me the percentage image on the pc and in the phone then i wait then nothing happend

you shouldn't enter the bootloader like that, the flash won't work that way.

the screenshots are very helpful in seeing what your problem is.
ok, after 3rd step now try copying Manual SSPL exe (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=232407&d=1254155476) on the phone, run it, it should then show SSPL screen on the phone. then use the Manual flash mode on the PC. let me know if it works that way

glad to help. as I said, the manual SSPL in the thread was the wrong version. I forgot to update it at one point, will add it in the thread now. (most people can just go and use automatic mode so nobody noticed there was an issue with the file.)

Hi all
I really need some help please!!
I think I have read and searched and tried steps by step all the posts and threads on this, none of them work for me,
Ive flashed my HD2 & TD2 with HSPL, radios and roms many times in the past. I have a stock rom on my TD2, (havent flashed a cooked one yet but did on my HD2 and worked great),
the problem is when I try flash anything, (HSPL,Radio's and Roms)
I connect with WMDC on windows ultimate 64x and go through all the steps, the phone disconnects from WMDC when loading the tri-color screen, and installs the HTC sync drivers fine, and then (my problem) it hangs on 0%. this happens regardless of what I'm flashing after a while brings up the communication errors 208 & 260. this doesnt have any effect on the software HSPL or radio as a soft reset returns back to the homescreen just fine. I am running HSPL 1.8.3. , radio 4.49.25.17 and a shiped stock wm 6.5.
This is what Ive tried so far:
I have used 3 different micro USB cables,
updated my .net fx to 4.1
I have tried different Ruu's such as custom Ruu, Ruu from topaz, Ruu, supplied with Hspl, flashes center and KaiserCustomRUU.exe and a few others.
Ive tried the white screen fix many times. including the SDA unlocker and stuff.
I ve tried manual and automatic.
tried entering the the Tri-color screen manually and via the Ruu.
I tried different computers and different operating systems (W7ultimate and XP 32Bit and 64Bit)
tried active sync WMDC 6.0 and 6.1
Ive removed the SD card and sim and have tried flight mode
Restarted pc's mobile any reinstalled WMDC many times.
Ive tried renaming to the HSPL, radio and Rom to TOPAIMG.nbh , put 1 by 1 on formated fat32 SD card, run from Tri-color menu. all of them just hang on
loading....
Have tried mixing and matching Ruu's with HSPL's, Roms And radios and everything else i can think of, after 18 hours of this I am fed up and decided i need some help

i have now download the official RUU_Topaz_S2_HTC_WWE-AFK_2.53.421.3_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.44etc.25.35_4 .49.25.91_Ship.exe Rom
and it worked with no problems.
it updated my HSPL from 1.83 to 2.51 and radio version to 4.49.25.91 which was exactly what i was going for.
The problem now is that i still cant change my HSPL, RADIO or flash a custom Rom which is what I need. it hangs on 0% and now gives me a 262 error which states that:
ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process. If this happens, you can just soft reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue. At this stage the rom on the device is incomplete and it will not boot back up into Windows. You will need to place it into the bootloader to continue.
which is not true as if a reboot it doesn't continue the update and just returns to the home screen as normal
help?
