Tilt Outer Keypad issue - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I noticed that on my TILT, I can "wiggle" my outer keypad quite a bit with my finger - IE - It's not tight. I can move it up/down, side to side - is this normal or should it have no play at all?

yeah thats pretty common, nothing to worry about it. I picked up the KAISER about a year ago, and was shocked that it was wobbly too . You will eventually stop noticing it.

Lol, I just answered it you know where

Is your Kaiser wobbly / sloped ?

Been very happy with the Kaiser so far, including on the GPS front ;-) but I'm getting slightly annoyed by two hardware nits :
1. wobbly : in portrait mode when I tap on the screen the right side tends to "hit" the keyboard part underneath and looking closely it's easy to understand why, there is a tiny gap between the two parts, likely for the slide/tilt mechanism
2. sloped : when I pull out the keyboard, the right side of the screen goes out more than the left side so it is slightly sloped. It improved a bit when folding the screen. Again I think this is a constraint of the slide/tilt mechanism
I'm thinking it's a general quirk because I had to change my first model (stuck key) and it had the same problems.
Anyone else noticed that ?
in portrait mode my kaiser seems to be spaced the same all the way around and doesnt push on the keyboard when tapping the screen. I do notice what you mean by the keyboard appearing to be farther out on the right side but after taking a closer look it just seems that way because of the face plate not being uniform all the way down (part where it flares out on the left side). Mine is exactly pushed out on both sides.

Mine's the same as this. It sounds like yours may not be quite right and I'd consider getting a replacement. Of course, if you can live with it, and the functionality is all there then it's entirely up to you.
For the sloping I've had two and they were both the same, so it's probably a design constraint, no biggie.
For the "wobbling", it comes and goes, I can only really feel the "knocks" when I hold the left side tight and tap on the scroll bar on the right, again, no biggie.
solution
iv had the same problem of one end sticking out,
iv gone around it by inserting some tiny smugged paper into the sliding slots at the back, resolves the issue quite well.
I don't seem to have either problem (TyTN II version).

Screen alignment/Slide issues

On my ATT Tilt when ever I close the sliding screen now it does not line up properly. The screen sites a few millimeters to the right of where it should. I called ATT and they said that Slide issues aren't covered under warranty. Anyone else having a similar issue?
No problems here, although keyboard sliding is a bit easier to move since the day I bought it and it sometimes moves when I don't expect it to...
Yeah it def slides easier, but it doesn't line up properly.
I've dropped mine many times (only onto carpets so far, happily) and on occasion have found the top half of the phone slightly misaligned with the rest - resulting in a lip at the top, bottom, or right hand side. I've found that with a little gentle but firm nudge the other way, it usually fits back into place. I think there's a little movement designed into the whole thing, to allow it to take repeated sliding and the odd knock without the stress damaging anything.

my tilt's slider is loose

ok my kaiser, tilt, 8925, whatever, whatever, has a loose slider. if i press on the screen you can feel the upper part of the phone move. Their is a noticable gap between the keyboard and the upper part of the phone. My brother has a titl and i compared it. Is their any way to tighten or fix the problem
bump.
I'm comfortable with taking my phone apart and putting it back together.

Does the screen feel loose when the device is closed? Or do you mean its loose when its open? Mine was loose when it was closed and almost made a creaking sound when I applied pressure to the bottom right corner, I removed the screws, but was unsure how to disassemble the unit (at the time), so I gave it a good dusting, replaced the screws and It's fine now. What my little dusting solved is still a mystery to me, but it worked.

Loose, wobbly keyboard slider

I got my Kaiser in early November of last year and I've been happy with it overall, but recently, I've been noticing that when i press lightly on the right side of the screen half of the phone, it slides really easily. This is making one-handed use frustrating, because the screen keeps moving around on me. I'm almost certain it didn't do this when I got it, but I could just be noticing it now. Is there any way to make the slider lock into place a little more when it's closed?
Nope this is a thorn in the side of the Kaiser users, The Spring wears out over time and gets loose.

Is this normal?!

Hey everybody. I've been using my Xperia for about 2 months now. However, while messing around with it the other day, I realized that it's kind of shaky. For example, if i "press" against the silver finish all the way to the right of the screen, the top part of the phone shakes a little (like it moves kind of inward). Also, when I press the bottom right soft key, the same thing happens. It shakes a little, and it's not too big of a deal but it's annoying.
Another thing is that the keyboard also slides out very easily. Like way too easily. While using the touchflo 3d with one finger (sliding to the right), for instance, unless my finger is completely dry and moving on the screen very smoothly, the screen moves to the right slightly (the way the keyboard opens).
Also, when the keyboard is out, if i "press" towards the top part of the screen, it also shakes. It feels kind of loose.
I just wanted to know, is this normal? If not, what should I do, as I bought this phone from ebay.
Other than this problem, I love my Xperia. It's very functional and like a mini PC. If it wasn't for this place, though, I think I would have probably been VERY, VERY dissatisfied with my Xperia (with the stock rom).
Thanks in advance. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: My phone is a silver, Xperia X1i model.
I don't think that's normal. Do you tend to slide out your keyboard a lot? Have you noticed any cracks near the stylus btw?
Holy-!
How much force are you using on the screen?! My slider is exceedingly solid. Absolutely no give, and even if I use TF3D it doesn't move.

I think that's out of normal
My Black X1 has about 1mm play, on the left side. On the right side it is less, but it can be felt, exactly as you mention.
As for opening, I have no problem with that, it gives just reasonable resistance.
i try to peat as least pressure as possible while using tf3d. i also dont slide out my keyboard THAT much. and no, no cracks near stylues.
apparently, this is not normal. any advice?
redo the screen calibration, now applying as LITTLE force as you can to get the press registered, and try again. Xperia has some sort of vario force meter on the touchscreen - the more force you use during calibration, the more force you need during normal usage.
another issue i have with my phone (not hardware related) is the fact that when i use high quality on my youtube app, watching the video is sooooooo laggy. is there any fix for this
It's a limitation of the current app, most likely it's incapable of taking advantage of the native hardware decoding the MSM7200/7201/7200A/whatever chipset offers.
