I have several applications that access the internet every so often, and everytime one of them does it, a window pops up "informing me" that the phone is "connecting to MediaNet". It is a very annoying window because it pops up on top of anything that I am doing (for example dialing). Is there a way to turn this off? I really do not want to know when the phone connects to MediaNet.
Thanks a lot,
Juan
Do you just want to turn that message off or completely disable MediaNet?
getting rid of the message in general would be fantastic. I am annoyed by it as well. even the ISP message comes up all the time too when connecting GPS
Yes, let's get rid of the message. I second that request for know-how. I haven't googled for it. I assume you have, original poster. Thanks for whoever has answer. Sometimes I have my media net turned off and it beeps to let me know there is no data connection. I would like that disabled as well.
this has been bugging the $8[t outta me!
Sometimes in the past , the messages kicked me out of S2U2. My phone stays on and does stuff like call my mom while I'm shooting the $h!7 with my buddies.
If it bugs you, just turn it off.
If I remember correctly: Start...Settings...Sounds & Notifications. Hit the Notifications tab, navigate the drop down Event box to "Connection established" and uncheck the tick boxes (especailly the "Display message on screen" box), hit OK and it will be gone.

That's correct.

This sounds like the right answer. Trying it right now. Thanks for your help.

is it possible to disable notifications. it is pretty annoying to be typing a text or email and have a notification pop up in your way. Also, is it possible to disable the gprs/edge connection window that pops up when the phone is connecting to the edge network or in wifi when it connects to another network?
Go to Settings/Personal/Sound&Notification/Notification tab
Choose each and every one and uncheck the box saying "Display message on screen". I'm not responsible for what you can miss (i'm not sure if you will get the icon in the top task bar any more for new sms for example)
Hope it helps,
RPG
About the dialog with connectivity, unchecking the box for "Conection established" will take care of it (i also did this now, seems a good idea)
man i'm an idiot. just showing off what a noob i am i guess. thanks a ton. you guys rock!
how come i disabled the notification & the sound for the voicemail and i still get the text notification?
Hmmm, try unchecking all boxes for voicemail. btw: maybe it's a msg sent by your carrier, which you could disable in phone settings (i think) or call them to make them stop !
I can't test this 'cause i never had any voicemail on any of my phones... i always disable this with my carrier
i use outlook on my Tilt, when i get email i get a pop like notification every few minutes, and i can selet dismiss or view(or something like that) is there a way to stop that notification popup? also i have my phone light set to turn off after 2 minutes, which it goes into a standby type mode, basically the same thing as when you hit the power button on the right side once how it stand byes until u hit it again, when it does that i cant receive messages, my send/receive is set to check every 5 minutes, but with it in this standby type mode it wont send/receive to get new messages until i basically wake it up, is that a way to get it to send/receive while in this mode?
for your first question: SEARCH THE FORUM !!!!!!!
just kidding (but if you do you'll find your question answered a few times...):
You have to go to Settings/Personal/Sounds and Notification, select New e-mail from the combobox and uncheck the box saying "Display message on screen"
For your second question: I don't know but there are more people complaining about this
thanks man, appreciate it, i guess i had to make things more complicated than they really are lol
I have the same problem. My device (TyTn II) is set to download mails "as items arrive" from my Exchange server. I always have my device in standby-mode using VJDevicelock. The problem is that when it is in standby it doesn't receive e-mails. I then wake it up and suddenly get a barrage of mail.
Search the forums, there was a long thread on this that has sort of died out. Basically, the fix has been identified (we think) and is in the KaiserTweak app. Basically, get the latest xml version of KaiserTweak, and in there are options for "Notifications": change the values under notifications to somehting other than 1 second, and it should fix the problem. Also, it could be a result of having the HTC Home screen installed (if you're using a tilt and installed it as a separate app), the Task Manager seems to contribute to this issue as well (disable it by going to task manager and uncheck the "Enable Quick Menu on Today Screen", and a third possible cuplrit is having the "automatic set time zone and dater" option checked on in Settings > Phone. (This has not bothered mine, but others reported that it did.) But, if I were you I'd start with teh Kaisertweak settings and remove the HTC HOme screen (if installed), and go from there.
First of all, thanks to all of you for creating these wonderful apps for the TYTN II. Much appreciated.
I was wondering, if it is possible for you to create an app (or if there is already one available) that disables the "Connecting..." and "Connectivity..." pop up bubbles/windows that appear when you connect to the Internet. Thanks in advance!
Yes, I am looking for the same thing. I sometimes get the cannot dial ... popup that deactivates copilot live for me. Is there a method to disable or silent this using registry edit?

You don't need a custom app for this. It is a part of the notifications found in the System folder.
Go to Settings | Sounds & Notifications | Notifications tab
Set the "Connection established" and "Connection Disconnected" events and set what you want it do or not do.
Thank you for your prompt and most helpful solution.
The suggestion above does not work for me (vario3 stock rom)- I have the options for both these events deselected, but the "Display mesage" option is greyed out on the "Connection disconnected" event.
Very annoying when using Tomtom traffic, the bubble comes up whenever you are out of reception and has to be ok'd to get back to tomtom
Is there anyway I can make my MDA Vario IV read text messages? I had a program that did it on my N95, and TBH, I miss having it.
I've done a search, but it didn't really come up with anything.

I already posted this in the other thread you started. Please dont start new threads....search and if you are unable to find anything (which is rare) then post new questions here if you need help rather than starting a new thread

Does your MDA not have Voice Command preinstalled? If so, it's already capable of this...
Go to SETTINGS (from Start menu) --> PERSONAL (tab) --> VOICE COMMAND
The checkbox next to "Enabled" should be checked, then scroll down and check the one next to "Messaging" in the list.
Now, tap on "Messaging" to select it then tap "Options" on the right. Deselect the "High Priority Messages Only" checkbox, and ensure the "Announce New Messages" is selected. Tap "OK".
Finally, tap "Notifications" and choose the radio button that best fits your situation. I personally have it set to only announce notifications through my bluetooth headset, but that's because I get some pretty risqué messages that I would never want read aloud through the phone's speaker (especially in public!) I also don't have "Only during free time" selected, because if it's going through my headset anyway, it won't be a distraction in a meeting because the headset will be off, thus no voice notification.
Anyway, hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply.
I've just been into the settings like you have said, and I don't have it. Is the Voice Command the MS one? If so, i have it on my laptop but haven't put it on the phone yet (I downloaded it because I liked the way my N95 spoke the name of the person calling me).
I'm going to try installing it now and see what happens.
In notification's (mail, sms, whatsapp) there is no reply button to use a message template, S Voice or emoticons.
Only 'show on device' and 'delete' when you tab the button at the right high corner of the screen.
At the end of the message only 'show on device'.
Any suggestions please?

I havent seen a reply option for anything except SMS. The best option it seems is to turn on "Smart Relay" which in essence, if you are looking at a notification on your watch, and pick up your phone, your phone will automatically show the relevant item. This requires "Motion" to be turned on on the phone, i have a note 3.
Are you using Hangouts or Gmail? You can only use Samsung native apps in order to reply. I refuse to use the email application so I just get gmail notifications without ability to reply.
