How Many of Us Smoke Marijuana?

Just want to get a feel for how many people here smoke, not going to get into the whole legal/moral/harmful/harmless debate, just want some numbers.
EDIT: Despite saying I wasn't going to debate the use of marijuana and I ONLY WANTED some numbers in the poll, look where this has gone... Oh my god marijuana's so terrible, let's get it banned everywhere.

As for the "gateway drug" idea, I've been smoking pot for like 5 years now (20 years old) and refuse to touch anything else. It's safe, it makes me feel good, why do I need other drugs?
In fact, if you believe commercials, it makes you shoot your friend with your dad's shotgun because you don't know what you're doing, it also makes you jump out of a window and drown in a pool while babysitting. It's amazing how the worst thing I've done while high is pass out, wake up and eat a ton of food... I guess I'm the exception.

Haha my girlfriend is the dedicated baker of the house, she makes the brownies and cookies.

I do and I love it...

If in all world this can be a normal reality, I´m sure that consumism will drop and a lot of "Legal Buisness" will go down...
This plant has been used since the human is on this planet. Also if you know a little about the human body, there is a "Canabis receptor" in our brain...
So the problem is not the plant, is how we use it!
Legalize it!
You can see in Holland compared to any other country the consumism rate is very low (Of course does not include all the foreigners travelling there to try it)

While I have nothing again using drugs of any kind, including alcohol (my personal favorite), I refuse to use the non-legal type for a simple reason: they would taste & smell like blood. In my country the drug gangs are heavily armed and often fight for control of the distribution points. The problem is that these reckless and ignorant bastards don't just kill themselves, they actually take out a lot of innocent people in the process. I can't conceive giving money, even one cent, to an industry that eventually will kill me at random or those I love. If drugs were free then...

That's a good point, dgaud007. Thankfully, where I'm from, the marijuana is grown by my friends, so I know it's ethical. They're technically criminals I suppose, but they're just regular guys with regular jobs, very nice.
(PS Technically, aren't we from the same country?)

Valid point there, but it seems to me to be an argument for legalization.
Or for home-grown!

The only ppl that want it legalized are the potheads - which would be the reason why they drive to have it legalized. It's more of a intellectual downgrade than a beneficiary.

Really? Michigan just voted 63-37 to have medical marijuana legalized. Are you telling me 63% of Michigan are potheads? Massachusetts voted 65-35 to decriminalize marijuana, so now anything under an ounce is just a $100 fine. Is 65% of the state of Massachusetts potheads? The fact is, people see it's harmless and have no problem decriminalizing or legalizing it, whether they smoke it or not. Please don't bring your biased opinion here when you have no more experience with pot than what you see on commercials.

I'm not arguing the fact that you don't want to smoke it, I don't care if you do or not, but saying only potheads want it legalized is a statement that isn't even opinionated, it's just flat wrong unless you think more than 6 of 10 people in 2 different states are potheads.

It's not supposed to be a serious impersonation like when Ian Bliss portrayed Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) outside of the matrix like in the Matrix Reloaded.
This is more of a parody type of impersonation. So I disagree with you. This performance was perfect.

Frank's Madden is great. His Bush is the best out there (although I wish I'd stop hearing it since Bush has been gone for a while now). His Dr. Phil is good. His Barkley is terrible. His Jerry is annoying. Jerry doesn't ALWAYS talk in that "comedic pitch" (as George called it) and if you watch enough Seinfeld on a daily basis like I do, it really doesn't happen often enough to constantly talk like that when doing an impression. His Kramer voice is great, but his physical stuff is lackluster and, quite frankly, annoying. Richards is a great physical comic. Caliendo is not.
There are others out there. Rich Little, Pablo Francisco, and Elon Gold come to mind. Here is something I found easy....

I agree that Seinfeld does not always talk like that....but in my opinion, Franks job is to pull out the "annoying" characteristics/mannerisms of famous people and magnify them, not be exactly like them. More like a cartonnist making caricatures where Jay Leno has a head bigger than his whole body or Pam has boobs that cover her face!!
If I wanted Frank to be exactly like Seinfeld, I'd rather watch Seinfeld.

It's supposed to be funny and dead-on; but it's a parody, not a dramatic rendition.
And as for the performance, I already said that it was perfect. This should imply that I agree a great impersonation has to be dead-on and funny.
What I meant is that parody distorts something but have a resemblance to that 'something'. All parody's have some sort of distortion of facts, behaviors, and whatnot.
That's why comedic parody's always over exaggerate things. They are meant to point things out based on common sense.
If you don't over exaggerate or poke fun of things you know, than you basically just performing for the 'direction and script' and not really for the "resemblance'' even though the point of a impersonation is to share a "likeness".
This means that if Frank Caliendo could do an even better George impersonation, he would have made Seinfeld even better. Of course, I would then take notice more of his ability to act than his ability to impersonate.
Btw, I don't like his Bush or Madden impersonations to the extent of his Jerry, Seinfeld, and George impersonations.

Fast food how hard is it?

every single time i eat at a fast food joint no matter what they get my order wrong i just don't understand it is it really that hard to make an order correct? if i was not to care this much at my job people would die (literally) does this bother anyone else because it drives me f'n crazy

A carvery is where you go to get your Roast dinners. 'Toby' is just the name of one particular chain. They're basically pub/restaurant places with all you can eat Roasts. I don't know if you have anything similar in the US.
I always have Turkey, Gammon AND Beef with a ton of veggies thrown on top, covered in a nice mustard gravy. Mmmmmmm

5'11" and 176lbs. Slightly unhealthy for my tastes. I think the problem is that in USA, the portions are huge. Here, we have way too many anorexic chicks driving the portions down.

Had this discussion with a FWB the other day...
She is single for quite some time, and she was rather depressed because she is quite attractive but no guys seem to want to approach her to have a steady relationship.
Over an extended "therapy" session, she told me she was contemplating to go on a diet. So I gave her a hug and told her that her flesh, being softer than her bones, is definitely a much better hold.
Of course, she said my boner was harder.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that girls shouldn't conform to the "thin is beautiful" adage, coz the men are attracted to the flesh, not the bone. Although the boner does tend to get in the way.

That is so cool! I actually did scour the internetz for a decent detective silhouette to use as an avatar but didn't find one i liked. If you'd read the books you'd see how hard it is to find something relevant, an avatar to match the name.

None taken. In fact i completely agree, although the aforementioned curvaciousness shouldn't only apply to females. I mean, i'm as guilty as the next guy for objectifying people on the basis of their appearance, but it's not every day that you see a fellow forumite like Milad in the flesh.. and i'm sure you'll agree that it's understandable if one finds themselves carried away in the moment.
After all, knowing Milad as i do, it's safe to say that he's not all about the pleasing aesthetics... Ok, he may be somewhat a good looking fella in his own right, (and tbh that whole outfit is really doing it for me), but he also has a great mind behind the facade, and it's a little shallow of people to judge him on his stunning good looks alone. Have a heart, the man has personality and character too you know?

Sometimes ones opinion about oneself sucks, i always though of myself as a not very good looking guy, but when i go out a fair number of girls find me attractive
But when i see myself in the mirror i think, sheet! How am i allowed to go out the streets

It's true! Every mirror i've ever looked in has cracked for some reason. I guess i should stop punching them! Seriously though, anyone who thinks they can do better than SB or Milad should post a pic of themselves...if they dare!
Personally, i'd rather get by judging people on who they are rather than how they look tbh. The internet is full of hot 'looking' people, but xda is full of hot 'real' people.

Okay, so me and my girlfriend have gone out for two months. We had our good moment and bad. We have only gone to dates for two times. We have kissed a bunch of times... Well, so there is this Guy she always talk about, she calls him her boyfriend, but she calls me her love. She says he is better than me, hotter, just better. And well, she might call me her love, but she has lied to me A BUNCH of times, and big lies too. She acts like she wants me, she gets sad when I'm leaving (over text messaging BTW) and yeah. We even have our dirty moments but yeah, just asking, its possibility she likes him right? I don't know the Guy, but he is older and stronger, and um, I just don't want to think I'm crazy. Do you guys think she likes him? Thanks :sly:

Yup, sounds to me like she does. Ditch the *****, especially for those big lies. It'll hurt you in the long run if you keep getting lied to.

Agreed. Ditch her. You shouldn't have to tolerate a woman who is shamelessly unfaithful.

It seems like she cant make her mind up. Dont expect anything good to come out of it. Even if she stops seeing the other guy she will eventually find another one. Just get as much as you can out of it without expecting more.

The truth is (and this is coming from a girl, for the record) that girls are *****es. They play games, all they really want is your attention. If you have doubts about how she feels about you, then that's a huge warning sign. Everyone has doubts occasionally, especially early in relationships, but your doubts are understandable.
And while I stand by my belief that girls are *****es, let me clarify - some aren't. The ones that are most wanted/popular in their circle (whether it be the popular crowd or the outcasts) are more likely to play games... because they know that if their current boyfriend gets tired of it, there's another one waiting. As you graduate and get older, girls aren't like this. Some still are, but I like to believe that the majority aren't.
Pretty much what I'm trying to say is to get out now. It'll only get worse. Dishonesty is a big problem, and openly talking about having feelings for someone else (probably to provoke jealousy, and probably because it's true) is just plain stupid. It shows her disregard for your feelings.
Don't be afraid to be alone. It sucks, but it's better than being with someone who chooses to treat you like crap.

I'm thirteen going on fourteen in 7 months... she is still 12

Be wary of the laws in your jurisdiction as to how far you can go...
But seriously, you need to end it before you really mess up your life. You're 13 for crying out loud. Lots of years in front of you. Don't screw it up.
