Therapist/Love Help (LOL) x) - Off-topic

Okay, so me and my girlfriend have gone out for two months. We had our good moment and bad. We have only gone to dates for two times. We have kissed a bunch of times... Well, so there is this Guy she always talk about, she calls him her boyfriend, but she calls me her love. She says he is better than me, hotter, just better. And well, she might call me her love, but she has lied to me A BUNCH of times, and big lies too. She acts like she wants me, she gets sad when I'm leaving (over text messaging BTW) and yeah. We even have our dirty moments but yeah, just asking, its possibility she likes him right? I don't know the Guy, but he is older and stronger, and um, I just don't want to think I'm crazy. Do you guys think she likes him? Thanks :sly:

Yup, sounds to me like she does. Ditch the *****, especially for those big lies. It'll hurt you in the long run if you keep getting lied to.

Agreed. Ditch her. You shouldn't have to tolerate a woman who is shamelessly unfaithful.

It seems like she cant make her mind up. Dont expect anything good to come out of it. Even if she stops seeing the other guy she will eventually find another one. Just get as much as you can out of it without expecting more.

Thanks guys, mean a lot, well, can't break up with her, parents o.o , and yeah, but thanks... A LOT! I LOVE YOU *HOMO WAY*

I take it that you're young, no offense.
The truth is (and this is coming from a girl, for the record) that girls are *****es. They play games, all they really want is your attention. If you have doubts about how she feels about you, then that's a huge warning sign. Everyone has doubts occasionally, especially early in relationships, but your doubts are understandable.
And while I stand by my belief that girls are *****es, let me clarify - some aren't. The ones that are most wanted/popular in their circle (whether it be the popular crowd or the outcasts) are more likely to play games... because they know that if their current boyfriend gets tired of it, there's another one waiting. As you graduate and get older, girls aren't like this. Some still are, but I like to believe that the majority aren't.
Pretty much what I'm trying to say is to get out now. It'll only get worse. Dishonesty is a big problem, and openly talking about having feelings for someone else (probably to provoke jealousy, and probably because it's true) is just plain stupid. It shows her disregard for your feelings.
Don't be afraid to be alone. It sucks, but it's better than being with someone who chooses to treat you like crap.

I'm thirteen going on fourteen in 7 months... she is still 12

Be wary of the laws in your jurisdiction as to how far you can go...
But seriously, you need to end it before you really mess up your life. You're 13 for crying out loud. Lots of years in front of you. Don't screw it up.

I sure am a bit worried with this crap! I slowly see the entire world going downhill with everything happening. Then along comes a virtual black hole, these scientist are complete morons, and this machine needs to be destroyed! I don't see any point, or any good to come of it.
I think we should just go ahead and do it.
We either discover something, discover nothing, or get sucked into a black hole and we don't have to worry about life.
Its really, truly a win-win-doesn't matter situation. And I'm NOT being sarcastic. this is how i really feel.
The worst that it can do is destroy the planet, and then we won't have to worry about poverty, global warming, anything!

LOL ! The Portal pic was hilarious! I guess i personally put too much thought in it, but as far as the daily occurences that compare, are affects from the sun. The biggest thing that makes me wonder, is what is the purpose, does anyone know?
As mentioned ealier, either we all die (unlikely) or science makes a huge step forward. I live without believing it will happen. If it does, no one will be there to cry, so I don't really fear anything.

to find the god particle, called the higgs boson.
to put it in perspective, imagine a big explosion. All the matter gets shot outwards. but according to the "every action has an equal and opposite reaction" theory, there must be the same amount of energy going inwards too. They're trying to find where that energy is going and what it is basically.
just google it lol

Ahhhhhhh you ! I thought you knew what you were talking about, until I saw the Google comment.
They are doing fundamental research into why the universe is as it is today, so that they can have a good understanding of how it works. With this understanding they should be able to do things which seems unimaginable now.
To bring it home to a practical example relevant to XDA - before TouchFlo3D was understood we could only change the pictures and modify the skins, which was nice, but once TouchFLo3D was fully understood we could make out own tabs which is obviously much more useful.
Imagine now we can generate electricity using nuclear fission, but with a full understanding of particle physics was can stick a Mr Fusion in our cars

I have a great deal of respect for them. Seems they are right about a lot of things over the years. I never got into the trappings of religion, and it seems they don't either, like killing each other in war.

Curious, what kind of issues? Frankly, I'd rather live in a neighborhood full of JW's than a neighborhood full of Muslims. It's just that I've never seen JW's cause any real problems for the world, and in law class, we learned that a huge number of freedoms we take for granted are because of Supreme Court rulings they took to the Supreme Court and won. For instance, say you're pissed at the government, and don't feel like saluting the flag one particular day. That used to get you in trouble, just like in Nazi Germany, but no longer. I think on balance, they've been a plus for society, even though annoying at times. I'd sure rather trust one of them with taking care of my house while I'm on vacation than a lot of my long-time "friends".
Here is an article from Wikipedia about the Supreme Court cases

Mainly theological issues. They have a very control based rule system in their religion which I don't like. Like any religion people at the top get away with practically anything while the lowly JW's are brow beat for just watching the wrong kind of movie.
However I think the whole ,"they are morally better" is true and false. They have the same problems like anyone else. Child molestation and covering it up was a major problem as well as petty theft amongst the dubs. However I agree I would prefer to have some in my neighborhood as they are generally good people.

With no offense intended towards your parents, I hate Jehovah's Witnesses purely because they don't go away. I've had a Jehovah's Witness at my door, as is typical, trying to preach to me about what's right, so I told him to go away and shut the door. Half an hour later he was still there, ringing my doorbell non stop. If you believe in something that's fine, but keep it to yourself. These words not intended to "you" in particular of course, but the day I start telling people how to live their lives and what to believe in is the day I start changing my ways for those people who tell me the same. Whether you're Muslim, Jewish, Christian, or anything in between, live your life and let other people live theirs.
Easy way to stop the JW's at your door:
1.Notify them that you do not want them ever coming back or you will call the police.
2.Tell them to write down your address and what you said on the paper they carry around marking houses.
3.Tell them you are going to call the Kingdom Hall and speak to an elder and inform them to be put on the "do not call" list. Yes many Kingdom Halls actually have these.
Problem solved!
One thing you can count on is that dubs will do everything in their power to either not go to court or to not look bad in the press.
Heheh, put on the Kingdom Hall's do not call list, that's awesome... I'd feel like I was playing World of Warcraft, next I'll notify them that I'm going to report to their guild leader that I saw them talking to a night elf mohawk from another guild. For those that missed the reference,

Tulum, México (Maya zone)
Im following Nostradaumaus on this one. Because it makes sense.
Put it this way, right now i feel im going to try to survive. But probably when it comes to it im going to be s*** scared!
Let's see...to prepare...
1. Make a simple boat
2. Create a machine that will make urine into drinkable water with materials such as a jug, seaweed, some aquarium air lines, and a pump.
3. Inexplicably grow gills so I's can breathe underwater
4. Rescue a little girl with a map to Mt. Everest, the only place to find dry land.
5. Have a mediocre looking chick name me Ulysses
All within a budget of $235 Million---Oh...wait...that's Waterworld...
I have faith that nothing that bad will ever happen (remember Noah and the rainbow?)
the mayans dont even beleive anything is going to end, their is no justifiable reason showing why the world will end besides some mayans who sacrificed to gods who do not exist
Don't worry It's just a movie...a darn good one
OMG!! People do believe this!!!
When entering millennium many people said that the world will end, but that wasn't the case!! However i do believe that the world will come to an end, just like it begun.

i see whole 401k's being spent and the like.
But thats just me.

Well, being an ex-Honor science student, I can PROMISE you this:
- The Planet has undergone ATLEAST 4 Ice Ages. It is estimated that the cycles happen every 102,500 years. on 2012, it is believe to start the beginning of the Ice Age. People believe that Global Warming is cause by us, but this is not so. Everything again, Everything in the Universe works in Cycles and Frecuencies.
- The Magnetic Field is weakening, and when it gets to weak, it is possible that they swap, if this occurs, then earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, and all are unleashed, and not to a minor scale.
- All this leads to an Ice Age. It won't happen overnight, some losses will occur, but humanity will survive.

THe magnetic poles have swapped in the past but I doubt this would be catastrophic. It might be inconvenient though as all our compasses will point the wrong way.
Global warming ... yes the climate does go in cycles but most scientists believe we are pushing things further than the natural cycle. Paul_Days is in the 1% that thinks this is not so. That does not make him wrong - it turned out the Earth wasn't flat after all...even though most people though it probably was.
For now I'll side with the 99% of scientists.

On the plus side you will get good old Canadian Bacons, and maybe you would get to eat a beaver's tail (It's not what you think it is).

when you created the thread you wanted to be cheered. i dont see anything wrong in that but when you post something like most ppl see it as if you want sympathy so therefore you may find some flaming

If that is the case there should be no cheering up that is needed. Wow times have really changed. I had to think back to when I was 14 (If what you say is true) but.
1988
1. My Atari 2600 was being hammered on a daily basis (still own and works)
2. Cell phones just made calls. And usually could not even fit in the glove box of a car.
3. Michael Jackson was really black.
4. I had no bills.
5. Food was always in the fridge.
6. I did what I was told. 14 year old kids didn't have a voice back then.
7. I got my very own stereo cassette player.
8. I didn't have to work.
9. The world felt like a better place.
10. Gameboy was the hot news before its 1989 release.
Hows aboot you just enjoy your youth and the Canadian air.
have a good trip.
good day

This topped the list of funniest threads you've EVER read? The iOS update causing battery drain?...
Sent from my LG G2x
Well, i only read the first page so maybe i'm missing something, but that sounds just like a thousand other threads i've read discussing various Android devices suffering from battery drain.
Now me, i have my own thoughts on that which i won't go into, but what i take from this is that everybody can encounter issues with modern tech, no matter what the brand.
What amuses me is my landlord, who is a complete novice with all things tech, just got himself a nice new, shiny iphone 4. I don't think he'll ever get to know it well enough to get to the stage where he actually downloads an app from the market even, but he is enjoying playing with it. Whether it's because IOS isn't up to par, or whether it's his knowledge that isn't, he does seem to encounter a lot of what sound like bugs to me.
That's reason enough for me to stick with Android, but what do i know? I've never even held an iphone before last week! Each to their own.*

I agree, we can turn off everything, hey, we can shut off the iPhone completely and only turn it on in emergencies, that would save a lot of battery power.
Shutting off 3G may work for most of the World, but for us in North America, in many places 3G is the cell sevice we get. No GSM.
Shutting off all of Wifi, B-t, etc is akin to buying a Lamborghini and then granny-driving it to save fuel.

I know! I think if I'd made the first post and someone replied with that, I'd burst out laughing though
