After upgrading my radio firmware and having the latest IGO8 installed, I tried having it auto configure TMC. After awhile, it said 'TMC Hardware found' and moved to a 'TMC Station Settings' screen. Since TMC is not used in Canada (?) I cannot test anything.
Can anyone else who has a similar setup and lives somewhere that TMC is used, try having IG08 Auto-Configure the TMC hardware, and report back with their results?
Radio firmware = 1.00.25.08
IGO8 v 8.0.0.49545
Daren
Wow that sounds quite interessenting.
Unfortunatly I have uninstalled iGO 8 on my device and kept on working with TT7. So I am not able to test it at the moment.
I might try it with TT7 today.
Greetings...
Protocol?
What protocol did iGO find?
Can you scan radio channels?
I have the same iGO version with .05 radio and it didn't find TMC for me.
My Igo8 found TMC too, but no Channel scan. I use the 1.03.25.18 Radio, but I think it finds the FM Radio, even with headset put in no TMC Signal.
Ghostrider
Here also TMC is detected now!
Tried automatic channel-scan with headset plugged in, but no signal was found... :/
I also cannot chose FM-Frequencies manually:

Same problem, "No TMC Signal"
You have to plug in the headphones because the lead is the antenna.
i have the same problem like capsman and fhsieh.
it does not work also with headset
same, "no signal"
(headset plugged in)
it doesn't start to search, or do anything, so I think it won't work in this way.
Here the same on a Touch Pro. Same protocol and port number, but no signal and no tuning possible Maybe we need som xda-developer to hack the Radio module in our phones..
I've got a touch pro (fuze) and it doesn't find any tmc hardware. anyone have any suggestions on this?

I know people with a pda with GPS receiver built in, like the Yakumo or the Mio168. It's great that you don't have to bother with charging a bluetooth adaptor or getting connection and it's more compact.
http://www.pdashop.nl/product/11712
At the back you have a small metal plate that you can turn up as the gps receiver.
It would be great, an XDAIIi like PDA Phone including an integrated gps receiver and wifi! The receiver is above at the back (where the lens of the xdaIIi is), i would gladly give up the camera with poor quality for this built in receiver. I just downloaded pugs camera rom update with better cam, but nothing compares a real cam with flash. So better off with a built in gps receiver I find.
I wonder if there are any PDA phones like the XDAIIi with wifi & gps receiver integrated yet? Maybe a new future Qtek? Would be great!
This would be the only pda phone wich I would give up my xdaIIi.
Anyone knows this dream pda-phone exists?
wait for the new mio ..i'm gonna buy 1 in the near future after it has been on the market for a while and all the bugs taken out...never get caught short again like with the xda2i ...if i can help it that is
link
http://www.spiritualgate.com/articles/articles/126/1/MIO-A701-Smart-Phone
You forgot integrated WIFI (not on MIO A0701)
Yeah, but it hasn't wifi integrated, still have to buy an external sdio wifi card. I'm comming from an XDAII to XDAII especially cause wifi was integrated, now gps is integrated but no wifi.
Still no all in one solution... And i think this will not be so flexible like xdaIIi with all the rom upgrades, tools and forum.

The i-mate PDA-N with built in GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, is the first Pocket Pc with built in GPS from i-Mate. Complemented by the 2.8-inch LCD capable of 240 x 320 pixels, the PDA-N offers exceptional GPS reception and spotless navigation to its users. Over all the PDA-N has high marks for looks with its large high-resolution screen and slim form factor. It is about the same size as the i-mate JAM.

Isn't it ugly
Nice try, but this is no PDA Phone!
This is only a PDA with WIFI & GPS integrated but no GSM functionallity like the XDAIIi.
See it's hard to find, or still have to come out yet
Keep on searching
eish you are hard to please Innovator   but that i-mate certainly looks good ,as i only want it for phone or navigating with wm2005 ,i wonder which is gonna be the better phone then
Sorry, guess i assumed it would be a Phone-PPC like all I-mates
If you have both - here is what you can do. Open ashtray, put two rubber stoppers on both sides at the bottom, plug cable, done

I have an RS6 with RNSE bluetooth....
When I pair Athena and RNSE BT then they both find each other and works fine as handfree headset profile.
But when Athena is connected with RNSE BT, it wil auto disconnect and then connect again after few second and repeat the cycle.
I found that if I disable the power safe mode form Athena and will solve the prblem....
Does any one have a solution for this?
Thanks!

You might like to try changing the bluetooth stack from the MS one. Haven't tried that on my Ameo yet (but used to do it on my Exec) so can't help as to whether it will work.

Try asking one of the Exec developers (eg Midget or Jwright) - they may be able to to help or direct you to a compatible version of the Widcomm stack
Hi guys,
When playing audio via bluetooth on certain bluetooth speakers, the music would stop halfway. I thought the walkman app was broken at first, but when playing videos on Youtube, this happened.

I have quite the number of bluetooth speakers/headphones, and so far only two actually causes this problem; Azustar SoloBEATS and iHome iBT4
Even my generic made-in-China, no-particular-brand bluetooth headphones work nicely on my phone.
Anyone know what's wrong with my phone?

It must be something with those particular devices.
I can use Walkman BT streaming to my headphones, to my car system, to my home system and to my JBL speaker, with no problems at all.
And my Pebble watch can control Walkman (pause/play/prev/next/...).
Edit: I recently found that JBL speaker volume control from the phone doesn't work. But other devices (like car system, hi-fi, headphones, ...) volume control does work.
D5803 with 5.0.2 stock (Nordic)
yeah it's probably just those devices. I use bt with my Sennheiser headphones and bt speaker all the time with no issues
I can confirm odd behaviour on bt with my Xperia z3c...
On kitkat 4.4.4 it would randomly crash bt-share if audio was played back on my WHD Soundwaver. Pc playbavk was fine.
On LP 5.0.2 (up to .28) the phone would start to act up after a while... Pc volume control was also lost (playback was fine).
Switched to xperia z1c, where it worked in the shop (fw 4.3). Updated it to Kitkat/lp to find the same issues as on xperia z3c. Now sporting cm11 kitkat 4.4.4 and no probs on my z1c. Probably gonna go back to z3c and wait for cm12, since z1c has this obnoxious content adaptive backlight control.
Edit:
So now back on z3C and latest LP Firmware (.28). As expected BT not correcty working with my Soundwaver and the bluetooth stack on my PC does not recognize a2dp-service at all (However, it don't work with my iPad either). Hope sony fixes this; for now I guess we're stuck with DLNA to play wireless music correctly.
Hi,
I succeed to use Android auto wireless with my phone (Honor View 20 Android 10) and my car (Kia Niro EV with Head Unit Reloaded application). But I need to manually start the Head Unit server on my phone.
It stays running until I reboot my phone. So every day, I have to manualy start the server. That's ennoying.
Is there a way to have the head unit server automatically started at boot time or when it connects to car bluetooth?
Thanks.
Hey, haven't logged in here for years
I had a similar problem and I ended up using Tasker app on my phone with an AutoInput extension. There is a "state" condition. So when the phone enters this state (connection to my car bluetooth in my case, but you can set the trigger to anything else you want) it opens the AA settings, clicks on the three dots menu and then clicks on the "start AA server".
Then when I disconnect from the car bluetooth (phone exits the "state") it does the same actions and turns the server off.
In my case I also use this routine to turn on WiFi and hotspot to connect to my HU but that's because of my particular setup...
The only problem, it can't be done in the background (at least on my unrooted Google pixel) so the routine actually opens the app and fakes your finger taps, so the device has to be unlocked and in proper orientation mode (otherwise fake finger taps will click in a wrong place). But that all can be automated too with the Tasker app.
I've heard there is also an AutoMate app that can do the same thing, but I'm just more used to the Tasker workflow))

My car radio is ATOTO S8 pro, wich support android auto and carplay with wired or wireless, and I reaaly want give it a thumb for how fast they connect to and work each time, maybe you can have a try.
By the AutoMate and root.
BT is always on. Check BT connected to car. SU command open to AA server. Open the phone of Hotspot.
When BT disconnect. AutoMate can close Hotspot and AA server.

Hi,
When I updated my pixel 7 in January 5 "Security update" it never a pair Bluetooth with car .
The notice appeared "Bluetooth connection failed. Verify the passcode and your phone settings." , but I'm sure about passcode was correct.
I tried every step following:
-Forget and reconnect
- Rest Bluetooth
-Developer options then change AVRCP Version from 1.5 to 1.3,1.4....etc
-Last Factory rest
I used another phone to connect it connect without any problems, but the pixel 7
passing code Not accept my car.

Known issue.
There is workaround, You need to start any call then connect to the bluetooth of the car after you hangout it should stay connected to the bluetooth of the car.
Delete the phone from your car's system and start the entire process over.

This works but doesn't reconnect after the car has been off. Has anyone got it to stay permanently? Ta

Or you could plug it into the car via USB instead of fighting with the Bluetooth. I know that defeats the purpose of a fix for Bluetooth, but it's an easy work-around in the meantime.
About to test this ...
Fixed!
Hello, Can someone confirms the february update BT fix ?
I dont want to update and downgrade one more Time
Maybe you can't see my posts, tested and problem gone (for me anyway)

Yes i have seen, but between 'official' announces and reality...
Thanks for your test and confirmation
Obviously was device based as I NEVER EVER had any bluetooth connection issues.
And I´m using BT a lot!
But feels good anyway they fixed a problem others had...may have eventually affected me some time.
