cant you do a hard reset? or try the unofficial rom with unofficial RUU, they may be able to force the flashing to your diamond.
i feel sorry for you
are you pressing volume down and centre button and the reset button?
Try hard resetting
Try the sequence various times it is tricky to get.
Hope all is fine
My Phone doesn't connect to pc .All the time , Its screen is black ,Even I wanna go to bootloader or Hard reset
If there's no output whatsoever on the screen (only leds blink) and you can't enter boot loader, then your SPL may be damaged.
You may want to PM Olipro to ask if he has a solution for this issue (e.g. flashing SPL for a CID-locked bricked Diamond).
Anyone has a Suggestion ?
try taking the battery out for 10 seconds.
it worked for me!
I take the battery , But not work

The LED indicator (on Diamond, next to the earpiece) does not light up when AC adpater is plugged in.
The "HTC" icon does light up on the AC Adapter.
The Diamond does charge when plugged in to the AC adapter, even though the LED does not light up.
Ideas?
LED??

The LED next to the ear piece isn't an LED, it's an ambient light sensor to adjust the backlight when set to 'Automatic'... thus, it doesn't light up EVER! The charge indicator (at least on my Diamond) is the white 'circling' of the enter button (centre d-pad).
LED of your ac charger is ON if you connect Charger to power .
But When you connect your phone to Charger , Led that around the enter butten should be lightening.
Does it happen ?

Reset your phone when you hold Volume down butten and hold it untill the tricolor screen appear .
Then you can install roms .
I have the same problem, any idea???
Had the same, what I did was very simple: simply pressed the reset button and it installed it self without problems. But I was close to the end, I suppose...

Hi, recently my extUSB broke down, so I was unable to coonect anything. My friend changed the connector in proffesional way with IR gun. But now Kaiser won´t even boot up, no vibration on startup, only green LED is lit up.
I bought D2, but I am curious if there is any way to fix it.
Thanks in advance
What does your friend say?
What happens if, while holding down the camera button (on the same side as the power button but further down), you press the power button to power it on - do you get a stripy screen? If you do, you can poke the stylus into the reset hole to reset the device out of the bootloader screen. What did the friend have to say about it - personally I'd much rather have a TyTN II which boots and works fine except for a broken USB port (I presume it was working fine before the 'repair'), than one with a shiny new port that won't work at all.
Nothing happens it looks like it is absoluttely dead.
The USB port was faulty, that was reason, why I let it change.
Well, it is strange, but actually I am very satisfied with with D2, even more than with Kaiser...
Well I suppose you could always get an expert to look at it but if its motherboard is damaged (or there's other hardware damage), it may be more expensive to repair than it's worth. You could see what your local HTC people have to say about it.

Or you could sell it in the market section, plenty of people that would like to get a crack at fixing it or use it for parts.
Hi, I just encountered the very same issue. I know I'm ressurecting a very old thread, but I rather do this than creating a new one
I flashed my Kaiser with Android about two months back. Everything was quite stable, no hardware issues. Suddenly, it won't turn on.
When I plug a charger in the extUSB, the orange LED won't show up. And if I try to turn on the phone, the green LED shows up and stays solid. However, the short familiar vibration isn't there and also the screen remains black. Nothing was wrong with the USB port. I tried multiple chargers...

I realise you cant flash if it's not booting but if your battery has sufficient charge remaining (won't work if it's flat) it'd be worth trying a hard reset using the D pad key + stylus in the hole method (can be done at switch on time without needing a full boot).

How do you know that a fault hasn't now developed with it - I wouldn't rule that out at this stage. Have you tried a known good battery that is fully charged in the phone also is it the original charger you are trying (not all chargers with the same plug are compatible)? Are you able to get the bootloader screen to show and if so, what does it display?

No bootloader, no nothing - just black screen (there's not even a hint of backlight). I'll try a different battery today.
I tried using my old AC charger, my colleague's AC charger (for TouchPRO2), USB cable... the orange LED still doesn't come up.
What's the hardreset using Dpad key? I tried holding the power button + camera and also holding the two "context" keys (above explorer and messages buttons) and touching the reset button with the stylus.
I'll see whether a different battery will do the trick.
Thanks a lot for all your suggestions, guys! Much appreciated!

The context key one you mentioned is what I refer to as a D Pad hard reset. The one where you press the power button while already holding down the camera button is how to get into the boot loader - it's all explained in the Kaiser wiki. Sounds like another battery is definitely worth a shot - especially if you only have one (I have 3 for my Kaiser and on some days with heavy GPS use, I need all of them). What happened between it working and not working - what were you installing or doing with it?

I tried another (fully charged) battery from my gf's Kaiser today. No change. When I press the power button, the green LED shows up and stays solid (no blinking/flashing). Screen is black, no short vibration. I tried all sorts of hardresets and also tried to get into the bootloader. No luck.
Also, I took my multimeter and measured voltages on the charger, the battery and the pins in the phone where battery resides. Everything seemed to give a correct voltage. So it's really not a power issue
Thanks for all your help, but I'm afraid I have a total brick in my hand.
My Kaiser
Hi I have a HTC Kaiser I bought the first week it came out and it was f=ine for quite a while but 6 months ago it stopped working. It'll go to bootloader but won't flash. When trying to turn it on it'll go and just get stuck on the splash screen. I figured it was a battery because I'm very hard on my phones but I just got a replacement battery last week and all 3 of my batteries act the same way. I may have been trying to flsh went it went down it was a few months ago so I can't remember.
--- Other things to note
My Kaiser got wet and I had to have the usb port replaced and the dpad replaced. The usb acts fine but the middle dpad button does not work
The charging light will stay orange or green after I unplug the charger
After reading for the last week I think its either bricked or maybe has a bad hardspl on it?!?
Thanks in Advance for any help you guys may give.

Time for it to visit the same phone repair shop (or HTC) again for an assesment/possible repair if economically viable. If it's only recently got wet, you may be able to catch it before corrosion sets in and causes any damage but if it's not dryed out/cleaned quickly, the damage (from the resulting corrosion) will eventually show up (possibly in all the ways you've described).

try to hold two silver keys and push the power button till you see tricoloured screen or try pushing two silver keys and soft reset button with stylus which is located in a tiny hole just stylus sized on the back right side of the phone
i tried 2 silver buttone with the power button and the back hole.
but my screen still remain blanked.
totally nothing.. only a pulse of vibration.
is it possible to be in this stage? will a totally bricked x1 still able to get tri color?
i think u should charge your battery. and then put a kovsimg.nbh file on sd card.
after that install the rom by pressing the volume button down and power button.

you know those leds on the sides of the phone try charging the phone and see if they glow if they do then your screen may be broken or your flex cable has worn off i'll put my money on the flex cable if so then you should order a new one and replace it or take it to a service centre
Info about the way you've got to the trouble looks little... not clear.

How did you press space bar if "R" doesn't work?
Then... If you can get into bootloader mode, you can reflash any rom you like... you have hard-spl installed, have you?
You can use few different combinations to get into bootloader -"power"+"vol-down" OR "power"+"cam button". As you have vibration on the start, I assume your bootloader isn't broken, so you should be able to do these operations.
Charging should work as well, even if you don't see any sign of charging.

if you don't see SE logo on the start and backlight is turned on, if you don't see bootloader tricolor... looks really like it is flex (double check - I am not so advanced in hardware repairing).
Yes, leds should glow in that case.

Hello all.....
i am having a sony xperia z1 C6903. What happened to me was i connected my xperia with my laptop for charging and left home for about half an hour. after i came back i tried to put my xperia out of sleep, the charging orange LED was on at that time, but pressing the power button didn't respond, the screen didn't show anything, i thought my xperia has hanged so i plugged it out and forced it to shut down by holding power+vol up buttons together and after 2 or 3 secs, xperia vibrated 3 times and the charging LED was gone. since then i cant turn my xperia on nor it is showing charging. . i have tried every key combination like (vol up+power, vol down+power, holding down vol up+vol down+power) but nothing seems to work, i also tried the red reset button located beside the SIM card jack, it ain't working either. i am so much frustrated please please please help me my dad is gonna kill me plz plz plz i beg u all plzzzzzzzz help me ASAP plzzzzz....... :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hello, I have similar problem with my Z1. One day it just stopped. I was filming something and when I was done I putted my phone in the pocket. When I got home tried to wake my phone up but nothing happened. Tried different ways to hard reset (every key combination that were suggested in the forums) but nothing worked. When I connect the charger only the orange led light is blinking and it doesn't do anything. When I connect the phone to the PC I can hear the sound of connected device but in a second or two it disconnects and connects again and that goes again and again.
I tried the suggestion that vicmam said but it didn't work.
Pls are there any other suggestions?
P.S. When I press Vol up + Power the phone doesn't vibrate as everyone is saying it should. The phone vibrates 3 times only if it's connected to the magnetic charger and I press those keys. But still nothing changes.

Press power button only and HOLD IT WITH SELLOTAPE around the phone. Leave it for a few hours and soon it will begin to charge again. It sounds stupid but read this in a forum somewhere and it works every time!
