I Flashed tonight to this rom and everything went ok!
Nice new look... tomorrow i will see if i can find differences between the old ROM.

i just loaded it on to my 8125 and i have to say this is the fastest yet!!!
need to make it so it will read in english tho, can anyone advise on how to do that?
it loads web pages twice as fast on wifi and also something i found out is when pages load they all fit the screen now. this is a great rom update i think the best so far!!!!

Ok, but what's the OS version and build number? You can see it by clicking Start->Settings->System->About
It should say something like "OS 5.1.195 (Build xxxxx.x.x.x)"

Curently I'm using the latest Dutch SPV M3000 (Orange) ROM. I think that is has the same speed as the other non-Dutch ROM's with AKU2.0.

I had early the Orange rom but that was a really slow one. This version of Qtek is a lot faster and now i am rid of the orange garbage on my phone...
The battery must go longer on with the new rom and more flexible turn on/off the Bluetooth and Wifi.
Also the Sync with 'activesync' is more stable and no more errors... with connecting.

Can you tell me if there is a battery bar in this ROM where the clock should be on the top bar on the right?

This is the same OS Version as 2.17.7.2.
Therefore, I don't think it's really different, exept QTEK "brandings"

It's exactly the same as the others you've tried, so I don't know how it is faster.
This ROM is exactly like the other AKU2 ROMs except for the default language setting and the carrier settings.

Hi Reejmond,
I already flashed my MDA Vario with this new ROM.
I flashed it the very first day it came out (the 25th of March if I remembered it correct). New look, or actually just an extra Qtek theme, don't know for sure because I just had the PDA for a few days and didn't look That good to the old firmware
But I do noticed that this one works faster then the old one, especially with some of the reg_tweaks on this forum.
this dutch rom 218 does have the same build # 14847.2.0.0 as the 217 that came out a week ago but i can tell you that it does move faster.It may have something to do with the ext.rom. I installed both an as soon as this one was loaded on my ppc without setting anything on it i went straight to wifi turned it on and connected without any delay and type in an address an the page was loaded within 3 seconds. AS FOR ME IF SOME ONE CAN LOAD ENGLISH ONTO THIS ROM THIS IS THE ONE I WILL STAY WITH TILL I FIND OUT FOR MYSELF A NEW ONE IS BETTER.
I dont use gprs or push so i cant say anthing about that. wifi and usb is great and i did see bluetooth stereo!!!! (I dont have a headset yet )
P.S for those of you who really dont think its much faster all i can say is see for youself and i hope it works as well for you as it has for me. To this point nothing wrong at all other than it needs english. Can someone please hook us up???

I think you'd just have to replace the OS... plus of course do all the language tweaks, get the english Sym file, etc. if you really want it to be in English, and not some gruesome Dunglish or Englitch

The day has been over and i am very glad with the new ROM!
A couple of friends of mine updated also their Qtek 9100 All with success and all of them are saying 'it is faster than the old one'

One of the things to keep in mind, though, is that everybody also just effectively hard resetted their devices; some of the (apparent) increase in speed also stems from that

I am Taiwanese who live in Chincago, I can read either English or Chinese...it's does not matter to me about the English or Chinese OS, MyT-Mobile MDA was used English OS, but I can not see the Chinese, therefore I updated it to Hong Kong version of OS, but when I see this Rom, I updated it right away...I have been waiting for some one post the Taiwanese version of OS for long time...Thank you...buddy....I am so happy with it.......
If you are not a Chinese user, please do not updated this ROM for your SmartPhone....otherwise you are waste and risk your time...

In my case...my org. ROM was 2.17.xx.WWS..It is working, but I am not sure about yours..also I am not the who one post this rom...I guess we better double check with he, before you run it on your PDA...I just updated it without any problem and I take the risk for it...Hope this answer your question....

I did not get 2.17.xx from this forum, a friend of mind got the 2.17.xx WWE to me, but It does not running well on my MDA, therefore I just updated it to the CHT ROM..

Yes, CHT means Chinese Traditional, I could flash my Wizard from Qtek 2.17.7.2WWE to this one without unlocking the CID, I think perhaps it mainly because of the OS Language, I mean if we flash the Wizard from a English version to another English Version(from different vendor), maybe will have CID problems, but the flash between different Language do work -- only my own opinion.
Someone downloaded this ROM from dopodasia.com, he said only the VIP members could see and download it, it's an offical release version.

Thanks. Does anyone have any idea if 2.18 is different in any way from 2.17? So far, 2.17 is noticeably improved over 1.08, but it still seems to suffer some memory leaks, and there's room for improvement in a few other areas as well, so I'm always interested to see what's in new releases.

, I only lived with the CHT 2.18 for a couple of hours, the screen, font, and CHT word looks ugly and make me feel uncomfortable, so I flashed back to Qtek 2.17 WWE. I do not feel any obviously improvement from 2.17WWE to 2.18CHT, but frankly speaking, the 2.18CHT runs a little slowly than the 2.17WWE.
When we step out the CHS world, CE-Star is a necessay companion in case of inputting with the keyboard and reading the CHS, though PlumSIP 4.0 Pro is another choice for keyboard inputting, it does eat more memory and often frozen, and must plus with other CHS platform.
Yes, this ROM is slower than 2.17 ,but I use it for a day..I knid of feel it is more stable than 2.17. but I think it may have some bugs, I use Internet for over two hour on my MDA, it became very slow...but when I used the 2.17 has not problem at all... I guess the Chinese contexts takes alot of memory...

Have used TLR 2 and 3, both very good ROMS but am currently using SwiftBL WWE Diamond ROM V4.0, the ROM is very quick, up to date and give you plenty of free storage and memory left after installation which is what persuaded me to change to it.
All the ROMS here are very good, some more customized than others so you either look through the different threads and compare the differences or try every ROM and see which one suits you

Take a screwdriver and dismount the screen, the Rom version is placed behind.
If you can't find it here, go to "Parameters/system/Device info" and you'll find it, it should be a better and safer way...

I'm on same version. Had problems with slow touchflo3d and applied some fixes from this page and it seems much better now (fingers crossed).

flash the rom...the speed will shock you
I'm using bepe's 0.95 german Basic ROM (1.93 ROM). It's damn fast, stable and most of all very clean (130MB free storage).

Yeah using the UK updated rom version 1.93.405.1 (RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE_1.93.405.1_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe) from HTC with updated Radio (.5) which is supposed to give better coverage and battery. Coverage went up by about one bar for me to total of 2 on 3G..
Phone is MUCH better with this ROM than the Orange one. Touchflo much snappier, phone faster. I did do the tweaks from Schaps advanced configuration tool and the TouchFlo3D config Tool.
Dont seem to have any memory leaks like others have reported even when using Opera.

The Orange voicemail indicator works 100% with this ROM too and TomTom 7 works with around 7 satellites I got (TT7 NOT in ROM) !

A new rom will detect your network and re-set all data settings.

from the polls most ppl are still using the stock 1.37 eh...
i heard the cooked roms are great.. and i do love the aestheticity of minimalism that most cooked roms offer.. great job
but i guess after tinkering so long with 1.37.. kinda tedious (and also lazy) to reflash the rom and do up everything again... i dun suppose we can port over everything after i reflash by using porgrams like Sprite backup since we are on a different rom..
My signature tells enough, though I am surprised to see so many 1.37 Stock rom's.
Probably the same people who mention about hot batteries , what hard SPL to use etc .
Honestly, each 1.93. 831 build is OK and better than the 1.37 , and some have more or less bugs & tweaks inside.
I currently use Dutty 1.1lite as it has the latest builds onboard and plenty of space.
Hi all, I got HTC Touch Diamond2 from my uncle, but it came with German ROM, now I guess that I need some stock English ROM, but i'm totally new to Windows device (I own HTC Wildfire). I don't know anything about rooting and changing ROM on Win devices. So I need my Touch Diamond2 on English stock ROM....
Also every information about rooting and stuff on win phone is helpful.
(I found some tutorials for Touch Diamond(1) but not for TD2)
