I have tried transfering a few .avi files over to the tilt and when i try to play them back through TCPMP, the sound works fine, but the video only works for maybe 5-10 seconds, then it freezes on one frame for the rest of the time...WTF!! is the Tilt not capable of playing .avi videos??? does this have to do with the video driver issue?? if anyone knows how i could play avi files on the tilt, please let me know thanks

I have plenty of videos that play just fine. Make sure you encode them in proper screen size. I have all my videos encoded in 320x240.
how big are the files? i tried to copy huge .avi, mpeg, etc. file in around 500mb range and same thing would happen. If i compress the files it would play especially in another format. usually converting to windows media player works fine. i normally convert mines to .3gp. takes up way less space and looks fine on the cell phone.
See here for lots of info on getting your videos playing perfectly.
use super c,make sure you got the right resolution, format, codec, bitrate and use tcpmp or coreplayer instead of wmp
hi i have a diamond and i need .avi codes for the windows media player because thats the only way the movies i watch acclerated by the hardware!!! no tcpmp no coreplayer works good enough for me!!!
SO plz if sum one can find them or make them for that matter , all of us with diamonds and HD's will be very happy!!!
ive already searched the forums and no results!!!
Coreplayer plays my movies better than WMP. If you use version 1.3 there's a QTv Display video output mode. Works really good, sharp and flawless video's!!!

i am aware of that.... but i have come to know that WMP/HTC ALBUM can use the inbuilt graphics Accelerator to play the video file .... hence i tested that with .mp4 files!!!! and it worked amazing.... n the same file would not play properly on coreplayer sine there was no accleration, which made me think that if WMP cud play .avi files i woud have even more smooth video quality as coreplayer..... hence i made the post!!!!
It does sounds interesting though, because I prefer using my WMP to play multimedia files. I already use it as a MP3 player, but because WMP can't play avi's I had to use CorePlayer...
hey guys i was recieving .flv videos via bluetooth from Nokia devices when i tried playing the on my X1 didnt work i tried Coreplayer and TCPMP even windows media it doesnt work :S ? how can i get them to work BTW
core player gave me an error saying ON2 VP6 codec not supported..
tcpmp
hello,
i us the tcpmp from attach,it takes most of on2 vp6 vids but fluidity is questionnable
indeed corplayer doesn't take them at aal
ok ama try it now n let u know ;p thanks!
good it works but i i get about 1 to 2 frames in 5 secs :S??
hello,
yes indeed fluidity of videos are questionnable,
but trying several options in advanced setting can help but unfortunately not as smooth as on Coreplayer
ok got it if u decrease the speed to 80 or 50 the video will play ok but slow any other way to watch on2 VP6 on windows mobile? its really shame nokia symbian devices play it without using any program the standard video player play it perfect n us with windows mobile dont have aplayer can play it
Um..... CorePlayer is fine when it comes to .flv files.
ya FLV files but other codecs than On2 VP6 c'mon people some1 should find asoulution
any hopee?
Transcode. Universal solution for any video problem on X1. Is it good solution ? No. But it works.
lol all you need is youtubeplay... plays anything .flv.. download extract .mp3 and watch directly from youtube..
cheers

Are you playing the movie back on your computer or the phone?
If it's the computer, yes you need a codec, or I think it should play OK in VLC player. You could also get a video converter and convert the file to another format (I do this anyway so I can do other things with my movies too).

Hi everyone
I've got a G1 and I wanted to put some movies on it. I coverted them to .mp4 format and if I watch a movie it frezzes on the half of it. Can anyone help me what shoud I do to watch full-length movie on my phone?
Try downloading MX Video Player from the market. Default player is kind of flaky... IMHO.
Thanks for help, but it doesn't work. It seems that G1 with cyanogenmod can't handle a video that is longer than 1 hour 10 minutes :S
That should not make any different thou. Try searchiing the market 4 vdo player.
