Hi, my phone was purchased in Taiwan, but I reside in the U.S. Does anyone have an idea on how to send it in for repairs ? I think my phone has an obvious hardware issue.
Eventhough I purchased my phone in Canada, with no receipt, and an EU version, the HTC repair center in the US accepted my phone with no problems.
Just call them in and inquire about the global warranty services. They will ask you for the P/N S/N IMEI, etc and you can ship it in with no problem.
Insure your package though. My package arrived to the center with no phone inside

Hi,
I'm having trouble with my touchscreen and want to send it in for repairs. Unfortunately, i bought my phone off an Internet Vendor in America and HTC America says:
"The P3600 is a European model that isn’t support by HTC America (we do not have the resources yet). Please contact HTC Europe to see about Repair options"
IF anyone have any experience in sending your phone in for repairs in a country other than the one you bought your phone in, pls advise for the following:
1)Will they honour the HTC warrenty if you send it to another country's service center even if you didn't purchase it from that country?
2)Do they accept mail-in requests for repairs?
3)Do you have to pay return postage?
I am also asking HTC europe, but i figure i might get a faster and more accurate response here, so many thanks in advance
My old imate phone had to be shipped to Dubai for repairs, it went pretty smoothly, and they paid for shipping there and back.
Not sure about HTC.
The same problem for me
I have exactly the same problem, and HTC Europe told me that the only way to fix the problem is with the repair centre nearest to America, but im actually not in America, so my problem is worst. Im in latin america, in Colombia and I dont know what to do with this screen blocking problem that is driving me crazy.
So if there are somebody to help us to contact HTC in other way, I really appreciate.
Hello,
Unfortunately HTC has no repair centre in America for P3600, the only solution for you is to refer to this repair centre in the UK. HTC is sorry about the inconvenience.

does anyone knows if the UK models are covered by the pan-european warranty?
I'm thinking to buy one but i'm in other european country and i want to know if i'll have the warranty in my country.
Thanks in advance
Mike
hi mine was bought in Holland and recently I had to return it to HTC in the UK and they were happy to honour the warranty. I'm based in Ireland but the UK appears to be the nearest repair centre to me
Hope this helps
I'm about to buy HTC phone from a UK seller on eBay. The seller provides 2 year manufacture warranty + invoice. But I was wondering about how to claim warranty in case I need replacement or a repair as there's no HTC service center available in my country.
Any information you could give is greatly appreciated.
Id be leery of buying a unit from another country and then hoping to get a warranty elsewhere.
I wish i could point you to something to confirm or deny this but if it were me and i was worried about a manufacturers warranty i would not buy a unit from outside my country.
Im sure there are reasons why you would but be very cautious.
So, in light of the proximity sensor problems i have (and a thread exists on the topic) I went to the authorised Xiaomi service (in Malmö, Sweden). To my surprise, the answer I got is that they, as per agreement/authorization, are not allowed to service a non EU phone. And, since my phone is from Hong Kong I should contact my seller. I was literally blown away.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
The service in Europe does not want to repair phones intended for a market other than the EU.
Perhaps they cannot, they are forbidden.
I've had the same experience with Samsung and apple in Thailand.
The official service center won't work on phones from other countries because too many people used to buy grey imports for less than the official thailand price
