Well i looked to see for any solutions but cant find any, i dont now if its a setting problem or if its a malfunction but i cant make any out going calls but i get all incoming calls, i can send sms's but not make a call.
try this : start>settings>personal>phone>services
get settings for call barring, you'll see the incoming and outgoing call settings (both should be OFF by default)
if that dosen't work, maybe you could post some more info like the message you get when you dial out, ROM & radio version etc...
Didn't forget to pay your bill, did you?
I had a similar problem with my Orange TyTn 2.
Although i could not recieve incoming either.
I had previously flashed the ROM and radio to a HTC's current 6.1 from thier website.
I tried reflasing the radio to lots of different versions but still no joy.
In the end i sent it back to HTC and they replaced the main board, under warranty, thankfully.
Hopefully it is just a setting for you.
well i did that and they were off soo i just did a hard reset and it works now but its quite a big annoyance and if it happens again ill have to switch my kaiser cause its just unacceptable

My TyTN II is no more than one month old. Radio and ROM are all stock and I never tried any custom ROMs nor did I install hardSPL on it. The problem is all of a sudden I can't make any calls. If I dial a number it just says Call Ended following with couple of silent beeps. If someone call me they got to my voicemail. The strange thing is that after couple of retries, it works, I can make a call but then after another try, it stops working again.
In all that time, sending and receiving SMS works normally.
And now the very strange part of the problem. If I switch to 3G mode, everything is ok. No problems at all. If I switich back to GSM only mode, the problem is back.
I've contacted HTC in my country (I'm somewhere in Europe ) and all they can say is, hard reset your phone and if that does not work, send it for repair.
I consider that a valid response and I'm about to do just that but before I go and erase all of my applications and settings from my phone (which will take me ages to get them back) I was wondering if someone has previous experiance with this sort of a problem and if it can be fixed without hard reseting the phone.
I have the same issue but when I turn G3 mode ON. I can not make call with auto G3 mode on (I have to try a lot of times to make a simple call). If I use only GSM its works ok.
Zol
I have the same problem, i cannot make a call on 3g network only on GSM. I took the phone to the service and they said i had to change the motherboard it costs ~335 EUR. F*ck
Can anybody tell me an alternative solution?
In the phone options under the advanced Tab there is the option to reject calls and generate an automatic text message; has anybodt got this to work? It simply does nothing for me. Thanks.
Anybody have this issue?
Can somebody confirm that the reject calls text message generate function works on the Diamond......Mine does not and I'm wondering is there a Registry switch. Thanks.
just trying it now, but seems just to send it to the voicemail instead. Maybe we need to turn voicemail divert off first?
would try that, but for some reason, t-mobile doesn't seem to want to let me turn my diverts off!!
Anyone on another network care to try??

How do you turn diverts off??...cant seem to find anywhere in the phone that gives you that option ie options like when busy divert calls, when out of range divert calls etc etc
start>settings>phone>services tab
highlight call forwarding and then tap the get settings button.
Voila, Call divert options

Thanks for that...would have never guessed it would be in there lol
Btw your right, i tried to disable the voicemail feature...and it didnt work...if i press the ignore button it diverts to the voicemail...hmmm strange...
i think we need someone not on t-mobile to try it. t-mo UK is a PITA when it comes to changing stuff like voicemail settings.
Don't still have my O2 sim so couldn't try that, and am working from home for a bit today so i'm kinda stuck.
Might ask one of the guys at work to try one of our other diamonds with an orange SIM and see if that does the trick....

Its strange because on my nokia n95 8gb phone i could easily turn my voicemail on and off whenever i chose.
I did notice after i had unticked the voicemail boxes...pressed ok then exited...went back into the phone settings and saw that the boxes were ticked....as i said its strange. Because sometimes i just want the caller to hear a busy tone or the reject tone...
Hopefully someone can try with a different sim and see what happens.
it could just be that T-Mobile don't like the commands coming from the windows mobile devices then. I've only been with t-mobile since i had WM devices - about 4 years now - and i never really bothered using my other devices on the network. I think i have an old Sony Z5 around somewhere, i might charge it up and turn the voicemail off with that and then see if that helps.

Could be.,..i dont know as the Diamond is my first WM device that ive been impressed with enough to keep it.
Might give tmobile a call later and see what they have to say about it. Although i dont think im going to have much luck as when i rung them uip about mms settings they said they dont support Diamond..so couldnt help me out there.
that sounds about right for T-mo customer services.
If you can get past the usual shower of muppets on first level and get through to the guys in advanced connectivity in Doxford or Greenock, they should either be able to help or refer you to someone who can....
If i have to call them now, i refuse to speak to the lower levels and ask straight for advanced connectivity. Last time i got through (back in the days when i had my magician), was cos they'd changed their MMS settings. Finally got through to AC and they had me sorted in under 2 minutes! it's just the call filterers on levels 1 and sometimes 2 that cause the problems usually.

I have flashed the German 1.93 update to my Touch Diamond without problems and the phone is working well -- however, I don´t have the "advanced" tab in the phone option!! (and before anyone asks, no I also don´t have the German "Erweitert" Tab there).
Anyone know what´s going on here?
I´d like to turn off the short vibration the phone makes when a call is established.
Thanks // Tom
Not all the time, just occasionally. I will go to make a call and the screen says that it is dialing, then connected but there is no sound from the speaker.
It also happens occasionally with incoming calls, I see an incoming call and answer it and it says connected but no sound. A soft reset always fixes the problem.
I might have to reset once a day to fix this, but when I went to a nearby city I had to reset at least 6 times during the day.
I have searched the forum but have not been able to find another problem quite like it. Have I missed it?
Cheers,
Fred Wade

Hello everyone,
I already posted a question in another existing thread, but I couldnt get an answer so far.
My Problem is the following:
I have the HTC Kaiser, I bought it unlocked on ebay and put a AT&t Sim Card into it. Everything works fine but it wont vibrate on Text messages. It can play a sound on text messages and it can vibrate on phone calls but not on new Messages. Ive been to the Sounds and Notifications menu multiple times but everything is set on vibrate. I also downloaded kaiser Tweak, but there is only an option for sent Notifications.
I hope You guys can help me!
I have that too!
I have a tilt with the att branded 6.1 rom on it, and it would often reset the vibrate setting to no vibrate on text messages. Usually my own override lasted as long as I didn't reset the machine.
I assumed it was my company's activesync settings, but now I'm not sure. I'm reflashing it and will do the soft reset on the bottom when it says 3 (EDIT - it doesn't seem to work on the 6.1 distro) seconds until it's ATTified, and will try the official patch for the backlight hotfix (plus probably some tweaking from http://www.wmexperts.com/articles/howto/how_to_customize_your_tilt.html ). Hopefully this will fix it...
hello,
thank you for your anwer.
please let me know if it worked aftewr you tried it.
Actually, so far so good, the official re-image with the htc patch and playing with some kaisertweak settings (probably unrelated) corrected the no-vibrate issue. I'm seeing text that I type in the screen on IE not show up anymore though (think typing in to google search and not seeing what you typed), so I'm thinking of trying it kaiser-tweak-less. Also, when sending/receiving email, the status menu at the bottom is more often missing. I'm hoping these issues are all software and not hardware.
Upgrade to 2.2 with radio, but I am having a weird problem. Phone shows I am registered on ATT, and can make calls, receive texts and send texts, however receiveng calls is sporadic. Most of the time the phone does not show an incoming call. I find if I go to the settings menu and re-register on ATT I can receive a call or two, but then it stops. As I said however I can always make calls and send/receive texts. It always shows good signal and edge connection. Any Idea where to start troubleshooting.
What I have done:
Disable google voice in case this was causing problems.
Nand restore back to Cyanogen and flash old radio - Everything works
YES!!! I was having this crazy problem with receiving call also! In fact that's what I was searching for when I found your post.
My receiving calls were very sporadic... and the incoming calls would NEVER ring! I would see the incoming call on my display... but I would get NO sound, even with the sound rockers turned all the way up!
I went back to Cyan's ROM cause it was totally unacceptable.
