1st off yes I searched the site. so here's the trouble. while on a call and I receive another call neither the phone or the bluetooth rings. this just started happening today and there have been no software changes in over 2 weeks. deleted any software that I thought might afect it..msvc and inesoft address book pro. only way I know I have another call is to watch the screen. any help is appreciated. I will survive the endless mocking of did you search questions as long as you are kind enough to tell me what search string you used maybe ill just flash a new rom and reload tonight....hrmmmm
so i flashed a few new roms and the problem still exists. the set im using is motorola s9's. also the phone itself no longer rings while the bluetooth is connected for call waiting calls. with no bluetooth the call waiting works fine. tried the s9's on my old sync and the call waiting works just fine...
My kaiser sometimes places calls when my device is off and put into my pocket, even when i manually locked it. The device always calls the last people i called, I discovered. It occurs when i listen to songs with Coreplayer. I sometimes hear other sounds like, the bleep when recording a message in the voice recorder.
So most likely some button combination sets off the device and let it place a call or somethings else.
As said my device is a kaiser with custom firmware (NoThrills dutch firmware WM 6.1). I also had this problem with Q-mobile 1.2 wich is WM 6.0, so it most likely ain't a firmware problem.
Anyone discovered this bug(?) or do you have any tips to get rid of it, it obviously is very annoying? Thanks in advance.
I had the same issue and the only solution that I found was to not only lock the screen but also to have a pass code so when the screen turned back on, I had to enter that. It avoided my phone from calling the 911 dispatch cetner again.
Hmm, it's not the best solution, but i'll try it, i'll report back when it solves the problem.
Anyone got more tips?
I have the same problem with my T-Mobile Wing. Irritating as hell. I can't figure out why it happens. It doesn't happen all the time.
I listen to streaming internet radio at work. It will dial the last number I called. When it does it, it does it over and over. It does it with Core Player, WMP, and TCPMP player. Even does it with Resco Radio.
I suspect the dialer or the skin but really have no clue. I wish someone knew what causes this.
Well i looked to see for any solutions but cant find any, i dont now if its a setting problem or if its a malfunction but i cant make any out going calls but i get all incoming calls, i can send sms's but not make a call.
try this : start>settings>personal>phone>services
get settings for call barring, you'll see the incoming and outgoing call settings (both should be OFF by default)
if that dosen't work, maybe you could post some more info like the message you get when you dial out, ROM & radio version etc...
Didn't forget to pay your bill, did you?
I had a similar problem with my Orange TyTn 2.
Although i could not recieve incoming either.
I had previously flashed the ROM and radio to a HTC's current 6.1 from thier website.
I tried reflasing the radio to lots of different versions but still no joy.
In the end i sent it back to HTC and they replaced the main board, under warranty, thankfully.
Hopefully it is just a setting for you.
well i did that and they were off soo i just did a hard reset and it works now but its quite a big annoyance and if it happens again ill have to switch my kaiser cause its just unacceptable
Hi,
I have a CDMA Touch from Telus Mobility in Canada.
The issue I am having is # rings with incoming calls.
I am using latest Jawbone Bluetooth headset, when I have an incoming call, I receive 2 rings and calls goes to voice mail.
I have called HTC Support and Telus support, they have no solution.
Is there a setting to modify the number of rings for incoming calls?

If you're talking about the number of rings before the voicemail kicks in, yes there is a solution if your phone number is in Alberta or BC.
I dont know what Alberta or BC is...
but on my phone i do it like this...
Start->Settings->click phone->'Services(dono if it's called this, second tab)
There is a list, in that list there should be (again, dono the english word) 'forward to'
click Get Settings...
now u can set the number of secunds before it connects the call to voicemail..
with the intervals 5,10,15,20,25,30 seconds (at least with my phone provider)
hope this helps
thanks nisse thats very helpfull.
by the way forward to is call forwarding.
Excellent!!

3 rings delay in incoming call
Hi,
This might be due to another related issue:
There is delay of 3 rings before the diamond actually starts ringing.
i.e, after the caller has heard 3 rings, only then the diamond starts ringing, and by the time you pick the call, there will be many rings and it will go to answer phone as usual.
As soon as there is an incoming call, the light starts blinking. But there is a delay in the ringer/vibrate. You can try this out by calling from another phone.
This might be cause for your issue.
I too am having the same problem, and I'm searching for a solution. Maybe some cab which fixes the 3 rings dealy in incoming call... I'm sure there must be some such cab. Still going through the threads in the forum.
Could anybody please point us to a fix if you know...
Thks,
Sandeep
I've got the same problem on my touch pro..
It's even worse actually - I'm experimenting, but it seems like half the time the phone *never rings* when wifi is on and if it's asleep...
What the???

I think that he's referring to the 3 second delay built into most phones. On earlier devices this was fixed by changing the polling time in the phone programming. (often referred to as the Slot Cycle Index). I haven't tried it on my Diamond as I haven't noticed that much of a lag.
Since I was thinking about it, I decided to try. I changed my SCI from 2 to 0.
I did look and found that I don't have that "Forward to" option in my phone settings. Probably a provider change.
Hi all,
I have a problem with my new Diamond, that I hope someone can help me with.
Sometimes when I make a call or when I recieve a call, there is no sound in the "internal" speaker. Only if I press the button to enable the "external" speaker, I can here what the person says that I'm calling.
This happens 50-80% of the times that I use the phone. I'm thinking that it might have something to do with that I a use BT headset and a builtin BT system in my car, and the phone can't handle to "change" - or something.
I have the newest Danish ROM on the phone.
Hope somebody got an idea. Thanks.

I`ve the same problem since yesterday, has somebody the same problems??
I have the exact same problem and have not found a fix for this yet
I have checked phone reception and even changed different simcards and carrier.
It still happens and i am using the latest ROM as well.
I downgraded the rom back to factory default.
Same thing happens once in a while.
To me this sound like a hardware related problem and i dont know if HTC will cover this under warranty.
try deleting sms and emails from ur phone and then see
I had this problem after I installed LIVE PVR Call recorder. I uninstalled it and had no more problems.
