Thanks mate to you and Tripp..well done.
There's a problem with the cab file mate. It tries to install the csv file into the "Windwos" folder, not "Windows".
Cheers.

I tried the medium one , much better , 10x !
any way to increase Radio FM volume too ? (when using the speaker) I tried registray edit of the FM Volume , but still volume very low....
Hi there,

It sounds great! My volume of diamond has changed to very very loud. Please remember do not switch the volume to maximum, otherwise you have a risk that the diamond will burnt.

My bluetooth volume is really low on the headset, anyone else have this problem? Im using the Jawbone bluetooth headset on Dutty's v3 rom on my att tilt. Ive tried different roms, adjusting the volume to highest on the phone and the headset but callers are still hard to hear. Ive used the same bluetooth headset on my previous 8525 with no problems. My headset was even too loud when on high with the 8525. Any advice would be great because i do all my talking via bluetooth with my phone.
Yes, everyone has this problem - although I heard something about AT&T's latest ROM having some fix for the BT, but wasn't sure exactly what it fixed...
FIX?
Well if the problem was fixed either buy a chief here or htc or whomever, there should be a cab file floating around with the fix. thats what im hoping for or maybe a registry edit to help fix the problem. Ive read many threads on how the bluetooth volume suck for cars as well. Maybe if theres a fix for that, the same fix should fix my problem and many other's.

Yeah as a matter of fact you can take this into your own hands. The latest AT&T ROM has a file called "AudioPara4-CWS_V6.csv" which I cooked into my new ROM (releasing tomorrow morning) as well. The thing is you don't need to "COOK" it at all. And it is simply a comma delimited spreadsheet. I have attached it so you can download it. Simply edit it as necessary for your headset, drop it in \Windows and add the following registry key to your device:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"AcousticFile"="\Windows\AudioPara4-CWS_V6.csv"
Drop and Go?
So i just drop the unzip file u provided into my documents and edit the registry myself as u described? Sounds easy enough if thats all it takes. Whats the name of the rom u are releasing? Ill have to give it a try.
?
DARN! When i downloaded the file on my tilt and tried to open it i get the usual zip error of cant find the archive file crap. Guess ill have to wait to get home from work to try it on my computer.

If you're using File Explorer select "Show All Files"...sorry I zipped it directly from my ROM and it has the hidden and system attributes set. Even on a Windows machine you will need to enable hidden files AND Protected OS files to be able to see it. And put it in \Windows.
Nope
Even after i check show all files on file explorer, then click on the zip file, get the same zip error when i try to open it.

Exactly, glad im not the only one that cant unzip this file. sounds like we just need to place a couple files in my documents then edit the reg. This might sound dumb but can u just upload the files a la carte that need to go to the my documents folder instead of making it a zip file? A cab that installs by putting these files and edits the reg would be too good to be true. Anyone up for the challenge?

Make sure you have hidden system files unchecked in Windows?
If you using Vista go to tools in any folder. Click on folder options.
go the view tab.
uncheck "hide protected operating system files"
XP should work the same way as well. This solved it for me.
Adding Registry Key

Yes, you are totally off as AcousticFile is a String, not key.
Try the Cab I attached.
Anyone found this key w/ the cvs file really help anything as I don't see any problem w/ the current BT so far???

Thanks for the .cab
I was wondering if you could provide me with a screen show of what it should look like so I will know for future reference.
Thanks,
EDIT: Am I getting closer?
Whats this cab do?
Thanks for the cab file but whats it supposed to do? I installed the cab to the device then soft reset the phone. I then talked via bluetooth headset for 20 minutes after reset and the low volume was still there. Almost seemed the cab did nothing more then take up 16kb of memory on the phone. Didn't address the low volume problem in the bluetooth headset. It must be something with the phone because i know this headset gets very loud becuase ive used it on several devices and all being consistant except the tilt. Any other suggetions to fix this problem anyone?
you can try this:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway
Tell me what yours say for the "SpkVolume" setting ??
also...
I got this tip from somewhere before ... see if this help you ... it's for the BT handset mic volume ... but within those keys ... there should be one for the speaker volume as well ( you have to search for YOUR device ... as everyone's is different ):
quote:
""
Navigate to
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device
Under this you would find several keys. Each key represents a device you are paired with. In my case I have only 2 keys since my PDA is paired only with 2 devices (my notebook, and my handsfree) Then navigate to the handsfree key, so mine reads like this.
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device\000c55401c45\Services\0000111e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb
You would find a dword called name, verify that the value corresponds Hands Free
Change the channel to 5 (my default was 2) 5 seems to work better with Motorolla H500.""
goodluck
Bump for some more info.
If you search the forum you will find a few posts on this subject. I have been searching through them just about every day and I have had no luck in finding an answer. Seems editing the registry doesnt help and the BT fix cab was released by HTC to fix bluetooth headsets dropping calls. I have tried the fix and I have tried using Jetware, I have not tried the registry fixes because many others have tried and said it doesnt work. Ive been through 4 headsets and non have good volume. I am still waiting on someone to find a working solution or a reasonably priced headset (below $100 thats non-stereo) that works. I think you may be stuck for a while like so many others....
Man, that sucks. I never get dropped calls on from using bluetooth, only when the phone drops the calls from ****ty att service. Guess thats why the cab didnt help out with increased volume. i did tons of searching beforestarting this thread and like u found nothing so i decided to post and see what happens. Quentin stated above he fixed the problem in his latest rom released today, 1/14/08, so i guess ima have to try his rom out to see if it helps. i really dont want to leave dutty's 1.1 rom cus of opera 8.65 and his great features cooked in. i love how dutty has the battery status under htc home with the exact percentage of battery life. anyone have a cab for that feature dutty cooks into his roms? thanks!

U don't have to limit what rom to use to have this so called BT volume fix (which I am not sure if it really working or not), just use the cab I package above.
For that battery status today plugin, you can find it here too: http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatteryStatus_XDA_Neo_WM5_iM_cs.htm
edit: I just noticed you are using Dutty's 1.1 rom. U can try my rom here which based on his 1.1 rom but w/ a few enhancement: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357490
Is there a way to turn on the audio booster permanently?

maybe someone can make a .cab that does the registry edit with every boot-up...
This one:

set the value to 1"
I would be INSANELY happy if someone would make this!

I agree.... that bugs the hell out of me also. Don't HTC realise that not everybody likes to use the shipped wired headset. After all, this is the 21st century and who wants wires anyway? Surely the device should active the audio booster when any type of headset is detected.
Come on HTC... I think a hot fix is required here!!

Hi ,,, i have big problem with my htc jade ( Touch 3G )
since i used hard-spl and updated to wm 6.5 the in-call volume is very low !!!! and i tried many roms but i still have this problem ,, even that in-call volume is set to maximum
i tried to search and found people having the same problem with htc jade and other htc phones but with no useful solution :S:S
so any one know any information about this issue please help
Thx
Hi, have same problem but happens between jade calls.
When I dial to other devices in-call sound is normal!!!
found solution
i have this problem with all phones ,,, but i managed to have solution by searching ...
i replaced the original AudioPara3.csv file with another one which only change the earpiece volume without affecting speakers and another cab called Volume_cc and changed some registry values and my phone works fine for couple of days now
u can try it on your own risk .....
1) install the Volume_cc.cab to phone storage
2) change registry values ... HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/InCall
you will find InitVol registry ,, just change the value to 4
and do the same thing with InCall2 and InCall4
3) using resco explorer or total commander show hidden file in windows directory ,, replace the audioPara3.csv file buy the new one after you uncheck on read only and hidden in properties
4) soft reset ,, and it's done
again if any one want to try this it is on your own risk ,,, and it will be better if you made copy of the original AudioPara.csv file ,,,,, and if you wanna undo all this thing you can reverse all this steps or simply do hard reset
I HOPE IT HELPS

Hi,
I have manage to increase the in-call volume via the method above but after a few days in the middle of a call it went silent. I thought that i might be network related but even after a soft reset there is still no in-call volume but after sometime it came back but then would go off in a middle of a call. Speaker phone works as well as bluetooth works. What would be the problem? Thanks.

Hi,
Did the hard reset and it was back to normal but after applying the registry setting and the cab the same thing happened again after a few calls. Once the in-call became silent it would be like that for all subsequent calls and no number of soft reset will help.

anyone has a fix?
well I guess it is bye this was my first home in xda
I couldn't increase the in-call volume due to the button broken, and I did not find any solution on the site. The solution or apps only work for ring tone or music play. So, I seach the registry and found this trick........ and hope no one post it yet. My first post and If I repost, i'm sorry.....
I assume you have a custome rom if not, I recommended you a great rom--- deepshinning http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271118)
go to the registry edit tool(download and install it if you don't have), find below entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone\Vol
change the Dword to one of the below prefer volume 0--10. Make sure you restart your phone after you change the number.
10--->65535
9----->59418
8----->53301
7----->47185
6----->41068
5----->34952
4----->28835
3----->22718
2----->16602
1----->10485
0----->4369
only downside for this is you have to restart every time you change it. If someone great in programming, hope they can write one.......

As some people noticed with 4.3 update the "click" sound when we touch the screen its less audible then in 4.1 to solve this problem (if its a problem to you) is:
First of all have root
1- Copy Effect_Tick.ogg from System\media\audio\ui to your computer
2- edit sound volume with any program that give you an option to do that (i use sound forge 11)
3- copy it back to your phone with permissions rw-r-r
I have a sound edit with a gain of 20db if any want test i give a link https://mega.co.nz/#!N1llSQpY!8UK5NaiEPy8ukBuEurcGytL7Qwo1Og__8Hzo2cGC6tM
Good luck
I think that will work for every sound that you want improve play with gain and test.....
If you send me the files i can improve the sounds for you but when i can...... dont see this as an obligation to me....
Im trying right now i would love to gain about 20% of improved general volume but all i´ve tried din´t worked for me anyway thanksfor this the 4.3 clic sound is the sexyest sound on the phone
