Sim card not found - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

This is strange - for the longest time I have never had a problem with my sim card, but lately when I install a custom ROM, it says that there is no sim card installed.
I reverted to the stock AT&T rom and that works.
I did the unlock procedure (oliprof 2.0, set cid to 000000), installed a custom ROM and and it could not find my sim card again.
I reverted to AT&T's and it worked.
Has something chnaged recently?
For a little while I was using a different phone. I don't know if that could make a difference?

Corrupted SIM on flash

Every time I flash a new ROM, the SIM is corrupted and I can't connect to AT&T.
SIM card was out before and during flash.
USB disconnected during flash.
The APN Settings are fine.
I even put a good, working SIM card (from another phone) in the device and I got service. I also put the bad SIM in the other phone and it ALSO got no service.
The APN settings are equal on both phones.
I had to go to AT&T and get a new SIM activated. I do not want to do this every time I flash a new ROM.

Bad luck. There is no way your phone picks and chooses what sim card to mess up after flashing (you said it corrupted your sim card, but not another one you tried?), and if it does you need to find a new phone

It did this on two different phones with two different roms (Darky 8 and Pheonix 2.5).

This is just highly unlikely, especially if you did everything you claimed to do (removing the sim card, unplugged during flashing, etc)

[Q] Galaxy S i9000 Sim Card Not Recognized

Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy S i9000 International Version, and I'm in New Zealand. I was running Darky's Rom 10.2 RE, and I tried updating to 10.2.2 Final. I did something stupid, I think I might have had my lagfix on, but I managed to bootloop. I reflashed to a Gingerbread ROM that I had lying around, but my SIM card was no longer recognized. I tried another SIM card, which also didn't work. My SIM card worked in another phone though.
I had a look around, and my IMEI number was still right, so I backed up my EFS, just in case I killed it. I then flashed a local stock Froyo rom, VNZJP3. Still no sim card recognized. So right now, I'm on a Stock Froyo rom, rooted, and I have no idea where to go.
did you flash the roms with sim card in the phone? That could have been the problem, that happened to me.
I took my phone back to shop where i got it and they replaced the sim card and problem fixed.
I did indeed. Other SIM cards don't work in the phone though and the SIM card works in other phones.
FWIW this happened to me (also on a Darkys ROM oddly enough)
After initial panic I simply reflashed the ROM and all was fine.
Silly question but have you enabled all the services (like use packet data etc)
I did reflash my rom, no dice. Also, my services are definitely enabled, but it doesn't actually recognized the SIM card.

I never remove the sim card when flashing. Maybe " airplane " mode is ON.

unable to export contacts to SIM card

I've flashed the latest WCX ILLUMINATI SERIES AT&T 1836OC 3.5 STOCK Vivid ROM on my Vivid. Everything is running without any problem except I can not export contacts from phone to SIM card. I get the "SIM card error. no contacts saved" error message. Import from SIM is fine.
I can perform other export/import to/from sd card and phone just fine. I switch my SIM card to my old phone and have no problem at all.
Also when I flashed to rumraider rom, I get the same problem. So Im wondering if this is known issue when using custom ROM.
I am running Rum Float Beta2 and the same problem happens.
However on a standard ICS 4.02 or 4.03, there is no option to export to SIM at all.
I'm not even sure you can do this with stock GB or ICS. Back up to Google. Of you want a hardcopy, you any contact backup utility on the market and save to SD. Copying smartphone contacts are very often too complex for sim cards to understand

Feature is not supported...not a bug in the ROM, just not supported any longer...thats a software thing from HTC,on my Sony Xperia Arc...their software supports it....Vivid even on 3.0 stock from factory is not a function thats available any longer...This has been discussed/answered many times...

Sim Card not working

I think i read all the sim card topics in here trying to figure out what is wrong with my n7000. Idk what else to do so i am here to explain what is going on and maybe someone can give me a suggestion.
I had CM13 installed and no problem at all. Then i decided to install the new Lineage OS 14 and the cellphone doesn't recognize the sim card. So i tried some of the solutions i read in here.
1. Fix the keystr with ON in it with terminal emulator. (I did just in case but the file was already in there)
2. Try to unblock the phone with GalaxSim Unlock. (It says my phone is unlocked already)
3. Recover IMEI. (I didn't lost my imei at all. I also have my EFS backup. We never know when we will need it)
4. Go to security and unlock sim card pin. (I can't see this option and i can't click in sim card option)
5. Try to install different roms and modems. (i tried at least 6 different stock roms and modems, nothing worked)
6. Sim card is faulty. (my sim card is working in other phones)
7. Sim Card reader is broke. (This is the second phone i succeed to brake with the exactly same problem... )
I attach some prints referring to my attempts to make it work. I am really dizzy about what to do next...

If you have a 2nd slot for the sim, try that. Or get a news SIM - that one may be bad. It happens
