I think i read all the sim card topics in here trying to figure out what is wrong with my n7000. Idk what else to do so i am here to explain what is going on and maybe someone can give me a suggestion.
I had CM13 installed and no problem at all. Then i decided to install the new Lineage OS 14 and the cellphone doesn't recognize the sim card. So i tried some of the solutions i read in here.
1. Fix the keystr with ON in it with terminal emulator. (I did just in case but the file was already in there)
2. Try to unblock the phone with GalaxSim Unlock. (It says my phone is unlocked already)
3. Recover IMEI. (I didn't lost my imei at all. I also have my EFS backup. We never know when we will need it)
4. Go to security and unlock sim card pin. (I can't see this option and i can't click in sim card option)
5. Try to install different roms and modems. (i tried at least 6 different stock roms and modems, nothing worked)
6. Sim card is faulty. (my sim card is working in other phones)
7. Sim Card reader is broke. (This is the second phone i succeed to brake with the exactly same problem... )
I attach some prints referring to my attempts to make it work. I am really dizzy about what to do next...

I9000XXJPC has become a major headache, and now the sim card won't work with other firmware. The first time I updated via Kies, everything was fine for a little while. After realising it's buggy, I went back to JG4 and renamed nv_data.bin etc..
The second time I installed JPC for a bit of a play around was via Odin, and that went fine, but still buggy firmare. This time when I went back to JG4, the sim card doesn't work properly. It asks for the PIN, sits on "Unlocking Sim Card" for a bit, then asks for the PIN again, saying it's incorrect. After entering the correct pin another 2 or 3 times, TWlauncher appears, but there is no service.
Odin didn't make a backup of nv_data.bin, but I had made a copy myself just in case. Restoring this does allow Kies to see the proper product code, but makes no difference with the sim card.
Is there anything at all I can try? It seems as though flashing JPC via Odin has altered more than just the /efs directory, but I don't know what. It might also be possible that anyone else on JPC will discover the same if they go back to 2.1, but I hope it hasn't done too much damage. I tried another sim card from another network and it's the exact same situation (works only with JPC).
To anyone who hasn't tried I9000XXJPC, don't! It's not worth the hassle.
Basically, sim cards now only works with JPC..what can I do? I have 3-button recovery, so can try just about anything if need be.

Thanks, I read and tried so much but somehow missed that. At least it's a known problem thanks.
Edit: I thought it had something to do with the dates of the files. hmmm now I'm stuck.
Every time I flash a new ROM, the SIM is corrupted and I can't connect to AT&T.
SIM card was out before and during flash.
USB disconnected during flash.
The APN Settings are fine.
I even put a good, working SIM card (from another phone) in the device and I got service. I also put the bad SIM in the other phone and it ALSO got no service.
The APN settings are equal on both phones.
I had to go to AT&T and get a new SIM activated. I do not want to do this every time I flash a new ROM.

Bad luck. There is no way your phone picks and chooses what sim card to mess up after flashing (you said it corrupted your sim card, but not another one you tried?), and if it does you need to find a new phone

It did this on two different phones with two different roms (Darky 8 and Pheonix 2.5).

This is just highly unlikely, especially if you did everything you claimed to do (removing the sim card, unplugged during flashing, etc)
When I try to copy contacts to my sim card, it say "sim card is full or locked, copy failed". My sim card is empty. I have tried the following:
1. Taken my sim card into another phone, and here copying to sim card works as it should.
2. Taken the sim card from the another phone and put into my own. Here says the phone also "sim card is full or locked, copy failed".
3. My SIM card has no trouble finding provider, either on this phone or the other phone.
4. My phone is a rooted HTC Incredible S with HBOOT 6.13 Revolutionary and Vivokat 4.4.2
5. At one time, I have come to press Simlock in HBOOT menu, and I am unsure whether this would have caused the problem. The error is certainly tied to this specific mobile.
Is there any possibility to unlock sim card. I do not know what's locked, but it must be something on the phone itself.
I have tried to find a solution in this forum , but I havent managed to find some workable solutions.

Why do you want to copy contacts to your SIM card? Google does it for you automatically.

The question is why this happens
Added security. So, why does this happen?
Hi, I have S6500D and since it was quite slow, I decided to flash custom ROM. After some unsuccessful attempts I managed to get CM 11 working. But later I realized it's not detecting my SIM. It will find network operators, IMEI seems legit, but it won't connect. Also, if I inserted a SIM with pin lock, it actually asked me for pin, but after clicking OK it won't do anything. I've tried different network providers as well.. nothing.
Now, I have seen similar issue on some other Samsung device (I think) and the reason was that I had wrong baseband, which lead to the fact that the modem was not working at all. But with this, it just won't register the SIM card.
As last resort, I've flashed some stock ROM via Odin, but still the same. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thank you for any advice.
//UPDATE: Well, I found the problem, only it's not on SW side, but hw one instead. As last resort, I have disassembled it, to find out that one of the SIM tray pins is broken.
Hi, since a few weeks my phone get weird and the sim card disabled without reasons or messages....
I tried to change roms versions (pIxel experience-Ion-and others) and finally it's the same, no changes!! it could happened 10 times a day or just 1 time in few days....

MotoG5sPlus (Sanders-XT1805-32go-Havoc-v3.0-25122019)
If you have a 2nd slot for the sim, try that. Or get a news SIM - that one may be bad. It happens
