Official Beta 1 Opera Mobile 9.5 build 1706

Great! Just installed, but found a bug. When I click on a box for input, ie login, password my keyboard switches to the default keyboard instead of my Diamond keyboard. Anybody else running into this?

Yes. But you can switch back to the Diamond Keyboard. But it does that switch everytime you click on a new form.
Although fortunately, the slide-out keyboard now works without issue. So I use that instead of the Diamond keyboard.

does anyone out there even know if there's a place where you can give feedback as far as the progress and other issues w/ some of the opera 9.5 builds? i've run into quite a few things that they need to fix, but going from build 1184 to this is honestly not an improvement at all (prettier skin...thats it)
there doesn't seem to be a place on their forums where you can just talk about problems w/ the browser like you can on the skyfire forums. i could always submit some of the problems as bugs, but they're not really that...looking for a spot for input.

opera 9.6 as default browser

i think i may have a stupid question but ive really looked everywhere for the solution and cant find anything!
the problem is:
on my topaz (original rom etc) i installed opera mobile 9.7b just to try it out, didn't work wit the zoombar and G-sensor so i just unstalled it. but now when i open a link in e.g. an e-mail i get IE instead of opera 9.6 (the original delivered with the topaz).
i've looked every little file on my phone but i can't find where i can put the old opera back to default! anybody here maybe can help..
or... is it possible to integrate opera 9.7beta into the topaz, so i can use the zoombar and the tilt function when i'm browsing, and acces true the internet button on my touchflo 3d?
I like the new opera but it isn't really working for 100% integrated on my phone so the old one is better to use for me

Problem with opera mobile 9.7 !

Hey guys,
i've downloaded opera 9.7 and installed it succesfully.
but when i want to write with the hardware keyboard into the adress bar,
i can only write one letter. then i have to click on the adress bar again to continue writing. but opera mobile 9.5 works perfectly.
does anybody know this problem and/or know how to fix it ?

This is because you downloaded the HTC Leo leak one, the official 9.7 beta works.

Problem for write with physical keyboard in opera

Well, i have a problem with opera, i explain:
when i want to write with my physical keyboard in opera, just one letter is written and i can't add more letters.
I can't write with the keyboard and if i want to write something, i'm just can write with virtual keyboard...
With Internet Explorer, i don't have this problem...
Someone know the solutions?

what opera version are you using? far as I know problem was on some of the older ones but should be fixed by now

My version is Opera 9.7, i have Cuetfiss 2.7 Extreme Rom, but i have already this problem with other rom...

This is related to the localization. Opera isn't configured for each type of HW keyboard. Most opera 10 versions work fine, but even there some don't. There's a localization patch for Opera 10 if it doesn't work - I can't say for sure if it exists for 9.7. Easiest fix in my opinion is just to install a ROM that has this issue sorted, can save a lot of trouble.

Opera 9.7 has never officially been released. The version you got was preinstalled on some HTC devices without hardware keyboards and therefore does not support it. As far as I know there is no way to fix this. Use Opera Mobile 9.5, Opera Mobile 10 or Opera Mini instead.

Bugs with Opera Mini

Hello guys
I have a problem with Opera Mini. I think it happened just after I flashed the Apocalypse rom.
Here's the prob. When I launch Opera Mini, ok, everything is fine. But if I click on the Home button, by exemple, and answer a sms during the time Opera Mini loads a page, it's practicly IMPOSSIBLE to get Opera back by clicking on it. It just freezes until I click Home again. Then I have to wait for like 5 mins, or to force close Opera Mini... Which is really ennoying.
Do you guys think it's related with the Rom or an Opera Mini update ? It just makes me crazy.
Bonus question guyyyys ! There's no problem when I use Opera Mini Next, except that it loads the majority of the pages in mobile-adapted-by-google-mode (like in my old Nokia phone). Is it a known issue ?
I precise everything is fully working with browsers like Boat or UC (which I don't use because it only shows english pages and that's not my motherlangage.)
