Problem with opera mobile 9.7 ! - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
i've downloaded opera 9.7 and installed it succesfully.
but when i want to write with the hardware keyboard into the adress bar,
i can only write one letter. then i have to click on the adress bar again to continue writing. but opera mobile 9.5 works perfectly.
does anybody know this problem and/or know how to fix it ?
greets riqper

This is because you downloaded the HTC Leo leak one, the official 9.7 beta works.

Opera Mobile 9.5 and Google Reader (iPhone page)

I am currently running Opera Mobile 9.5 build 1184 QVGA. Whenever I go to www.google.com/reader/i I just get a blank page.
I had a version of Opera Mobile 9.5 previously that let the iPhone google reader page work but I don't know which version it was.
I assume some settings would allow the page to render but I'm not sure which ones. Anyone have luck with this?
FIXED: Go to opera:config and set your User Agent to IE. This now works for me without changing roms.
Also running build 1184 and it's working for me. I am running L26's V8 light rom.
PM
Hmmm, that's odd. Have you made any customizations to the settings? I'm just running a stock install of 9.5.
Rom is in my sig.
Ok, so if I set it to Mobile View in the Display Settings it displays some of the header and footer of the iphone google reader page but many things are out of line and I don't get any of the stories.
Once back in non-mobile mode I still get the blank white page.
Try installing the version of java in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2313736&postcount=305 Do a soft reset after and see if that gets it running right for you. I had some opera mini problems until I did just that.
Same here for Gmail page on google Using Duttys v2
I had just installed same version of opera and have same results you have
using Duttys april 29 v2 cube

The issue is with Opera Mobile 9.5 not Opera Mini. I do use Opera Mini as well but have no problems. Thanks anyway.
It's a shame because this ROM is so good I don't want to switch just for a nice GReader page I am now remembering that when this did work for me I was on CUSTEL 2.1 WM6 rom.
Fixed: check first post
I fixed my issue and updated post #1

Thanks for that.... I knew I'd find the answer with a bit of digging and reading.
RSS Hub is the nicest free RSS reader around! I used to use google reader but switched over to RSS hub, you should search for it on here and try it out. That way you don't have to switch ROM's.

Why not download opera mobile? There's even a new beta if you want some bleeding edge.
oh, I didn't know that existed. thank you.
You could also check out the Skyfire browser for WM.
try my link here .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3841773&postcount=109
With your mobile browser go to www.mini.opera.com click the if this version fails and choose the top link now you have Opera Mini signed

Default Opera version

Hi,
I recently installed an updated Opera version on my Touch Pro, but it doesn't work perfectly together with the TouchFlo3D interface. And since I can't uninstall the new version, I want to try installing the original version.
Does anyone knows which version this was? I have the original WWE windows mobile 6.1 ROM.
Thanks a lot !
Not sure which is the "default" version but there are several versioins out there that are specifically for HTC devices which are needed for full compatibility with touchflo (specifically push internet pages).
My push internet wasn't working and afer i did i search i found out that i needed one of the versions for HTC devices and currently i'm using 9.5 build 16277 which has no problems working with TouchFlo

Tried that one, but with no luck
The problem is that it doesn't show in the taskmanager. So when i press the home key for example, opera minimizes, but doesn't show up in the task manager. And that bothers me.
Or is there a way to get it to show up in the task manager?
Thanks !

My version is Opera 9.7, i have Cuetfiss 2.7 Extreme Rom, but i have already this problem with other rom...
This is related to the localization. Opera isn't configured for each type of HW keyboard. Most opera 10 versions work fine, but even there some don't. There's a localization patch for Opera 10 if it doesn't work - I can't say for sure if it exists for 9.7. Easiest fix in my opinion is just to install a ROM that has this issue sorted, can save a lot of trouble.
Opera 9.7 has never officially been released. The version you got was preinstalled on some HTC devices without hardware keyboards and therefore does not support it. As far as I know there is no way to fix this. Use Opera Mobile 9.5, Opera Mobile 10 or Opera Mini instead.
