Hi, I have a AT&T Tilt HTC 8925 1.27.14.09, I did tested this version of radio 1.27.14.09 I was very disapointed! I could not unlock the CID I could not even use the wifi to conect to a open network here in Italy, I am using "WIND", (mobile provider of ITALY), I spent like 4 days only in this issue finding how to unlock that mfk connection!, all the configurations are perfect, it does conect ... but when I open the browser it is dead, the same issue happens if I try to connet to an open network, it conects perfect! but when I try to open the navigator to enter gmail it sucks and die!
What Radio and Rom do this forum recommend me to install into my mobile, as I need to use the following programs:
MSN Messenger
Skype
VOIP
Tomtom 6.3 (is there a better tomtom than this one that supports integrated GPS? where can I download it?)
I need the maps italy 6.75, how can I install Autovelox?
I bought this mobile because I like tecnology, it is a very crook and desonest way to sell this mobile locked to a network also with software in developing state that doesnot work properly ... I see that the companies are getting more and more greedy, forcing us to remain into their services, buying tecnologies that doesnot work or ... are in development state! I fell very sad for the people that dont have a good experience in this reflashing issues, even I am a tecnician 12 years and I am having some difficulties!
I hope to find a place to fix and use this mobile as it were sold to me ...
Hello, the MDA Vario 3 has since newest one what I like really well. Indeed, I immediately have problems with him.
Problem 1: I can`t call. So I have no receipt and I had in the middle of my house where I imemr receipt. On other places, for example, in the city centre I also had nobody. Can somebody say to me what this lies with?
Problem 2: How I must do it that if I have connected my mobile phone in the PC, I can go about the PC with the mobile phone to the Internet.
Problem 3: How I must connect with the mobile phone that I have Internet. So how must the settings be to it?
Problem 4: I have struck up on the mobile phone now the newest T-Mobile update, but if I QuickGPS start does not stand there \ " any more valid \ ". Does somebody have an alternative one which is free and I see my location on a map?
P.S. Have the newest T-Mobile update on Windows Mobile 6.1
Well,
I am normally the guy trying to help and tell others "SHAME ON YOU!" if they give nasty advises. However, in this case I just can't help myself!
How about you go to the T-Mobile webpage or HTC and download the USER MANUAL in your language in case your device came without one? Any of your questions can be ansered by taking a look at the USER GUIDE and actually reading it. It finally also has a trouble shoot section!
BTW: One question I did not really understand:
What do you mean by 'you had nobody in the middle of the city'? Nobody to call to / talk to?
Hello,
I have been given (kindly) due to a dying SE750i a xdaII
I have set up the docking station and downloaded Activesync from Microsoft however when I plug in my xdaII into the dock the sync window appears with the little window informing me it is retrieving my settings with a spinning green graphic.
It has been doing this for 20 minutes now. Initially I thought it had crashed so I removed the phone and got the message telling me it cannot sync as the phone is off, so I placed the phone on again and it started to sync again.
It is charging fine,
The Activesync I downloaded is Version 4.5 from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...ulas/eula_activesync45_1033.mspx?ProductID=76
The xdaII software seems to be ROM version
3.50b.40CS (ROM date 01/13/07)
Can anyone help me get it to connect so I can start to make the phone mine.
Managed to Sync however still think my firmware is out of date, any clues on that?
Also noticed my connection settings for MMS and also mobile web seem to be not there.
Currently using O2 can anyone help on this?
Thank you
Two things:
You have posted you have a XDA II, but this is the forum for the XDA IIi, small difference in name but big difference in what it will do. The IIi, aka Alpine, has WiFi and is stuck on WM2003, the XDA II, aka Himalaya, doesn't and isn't.
If you search on this forum elsewhere you should find a CAB file with the settings for O2, they may even be on the O2 site itself.

Have you called Orange?
Im on orange and it works fine although my mate also is, and he was having this problem yesterday.
He rang orange and they confirmed a problem and they were already working on it, but had no ETA.
Give them a call for an update
thanks for the info guys, orange confirmed the problem but gave no ETA for a fix.
Im having problems today.
I can connect fine and use quite afew sites but some (like xda dev for example) comes up with orange safeguard and says that the site may be for over 18's and cant determine who i am. Weird because it only does it on some sites - i tried red tube as a test and it lets me on there! :s
Will just be patient for now (and keep remoting to my home pc to post on here! lol)
I bought this hd7 a week ago from ebay seller. It is a t-mobile unlocked device.
My location services are turned on , but whenever i goto bing maps and search for my location, it keeps on searching but never shows me my location.
I have already done with following solutions i got from internet and htc call center.
1) Already flashed htc asia rom
2) Tried to search without sim card inserted
3)Tried to find my location in open skies
4)already turned on the location services
5)when i try other gps app like gmaps, it searches and gives error "The GPS data isn't available now". My 3g is also on, so there is no problem of downloading the maps.
I want to tell that i live in india, and i am using hotmail account with country : United states in order to use marketplace on my phone.
So, considering all above things, What could be the problem?

hi,
Download an app in the market place named GPS (its free).. And run it.. it initializes the GPS signal.
I am using the HD7 T9292 T-mobile unlocked at Vietnam and i am doing fine with TA Maps, Bingle Maps, even Bing Maps works fine without info about roads at Vietnam .
Try to flash back to T-mobile 7004 rom and then get the update
By the way, you can unlock the phone after you flash back to 7004, and then search for the HTC GPS Test Tool Xap somewhere in xda forum to test your GPS.

Hello,
Was there a solution found for this problem. I am having the same problem on a brand new unlocked HD7 that I bought. Any solution would be very much appreciated
I'm not sure if this helps, but I had some issues with GPS on my HD7S (AT&T) and I calibrated the compass. It made a huge difference.
I would occasionally get the no data when trying to use GPS. I haven't had a problem since.
It usually takes some time for the GPS to start working, sometimes I need to use the GPS with a clear sky (no buildings around) to make it work properly.
Yea , I have the same problem
I am also outside US , with a T-Mobile HD7 (Egypt) ,also have the settings USA for Marketplace.
I managed to get A-GPS to work though , I'm not sure what I really did , but I think I installed the HTC Compass app , that made things work I guess
But A-GPS is totally inaccurate , hundreds of meters of error-margin !
If anyone had anyluck with that , please tell us
UPDATE: The above method made my GPS working , the problem was in the area I was trying the GPS in. once I got out of the buildings area , the GPS recieved the data nicely (not 100% uptime , but at down times it switches to A-GPS)
To find out in which GPS mode are you in ( full or A-GPS ) you will need to download a free tool called "GPSInfo" from the marketplace
The HD7 gps just seems to suck, or maybe we have bad luck.
Mine takes forever to search, and when it does search it is WAAAY OFF.
hopefully mango can fix my problems
Ok i'll jump on the band wagon.... I've had this issue forever really. The gps is a few blocks off in certain areas. In my house it was pretty decent one day (I was shocked!!) but normally it's off from day to day. It could be 3 blocks, 2 blocks... Right now in Manhattan, it's showing me 4 blocks off from where I am. I honestly just don't get it. Is it the hardware? Tried the compass, tried the GPS app.
Honestly, I just feel something has to be reset in the system
Ok weird. I figured out my problem. When I'm connected to WiFi and try to use the GPS its off by a few blocks. It jumps between two spots and never gets the right location. WiFi off and it pin points it exactly.
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
THE SOULTION IS SIMPLE IF GPS ON YOUR HD7 IS NOT WORKING AT ALL.
- Go to Settings
- Go to Region & Language
- Change Region format to Language (your Country's name)
- Change System locale to Language (your Country's name)
I am in India and the GPS on my HD7 (O2 UK) did not work for 1 month. I tried many things but this worked at last.
I also downloaded 'Drive On' navigation app later and it provides Voice Navigation for free and works very accurately. Bing Maps and Gmaps are fast but have no voice.
