How to delete the 12 messages ? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi,
I want to ask how to delete the 12 message that always appears in the message box, I deleted them, but after softreset they appear again
thank you

bump ! nobody can help me ?

i dont think nobody has any idea of what you are talking about?
maybe if you give a lil more info about:
-What ROM you are currently using.
-What radio?
-If the messages have a number or message?
-Additional info like how you got those messages? If they appeared one day out the blue, if you flashed a ROM and they appeared etc

I know what you are talking about! I've got the problem with 1 message that keeps popping up in SMS, although I've deleted it ..every soft/hard reset, ROM flash ...it keeps popping back..I've even formatted the 4GB storage drive...it keeps coming back !

Could it be on the SIM card? Unless it's in the ROM itself, there's no other way it could survive a hard reset.
Have you looked in the SIM Manager?

Tell your network you are getting intermittent errors with your SIM and ask for a new one. Or say you lost it or something.

Please help, put in Sim card, shows 'no service'

Hi
I just got on at&T 8925, I put in sim card and it did not ask for unlock code, so I guess it is unlocked, I put in my sim card (Fido Canada, works in other phone) and it show "no service" can not find phone network signal.
I tried
ATT ROM 1.57.502.2 and
RUU_Kaiser_ROGERS_WWE_1.83.631.4_radio_sign_22.51.88.13_1.27.15.32R_Test.exe
radio 1.27.12.11 and 1.27.15.32
all same problem.
Can anyone help me, are these rom combinations not good? or something wrong with the device?
or anything I need to do?
thank you for your help !
Try another known-good SIM card. If you still cannot get service, then you probably have a hardware issue with the phone.
Sounds stupid, but did you make sure you put the SIM in the right way around.
You wouldn't believe how many people have not done this right.
Sounds like it's not unlocked... when I got mine it wasn't unlocked but it only asked for a code once.... just run the unlocker to be sure...
maybe to hard reset?
Hi thanks for everyone's help.
I think I put the sim card the right way , otherwise it will show 'no sim card'
I am keep trying other rom/radio; still no luck, it either keep searching or say 'no service'
I really hope it is not hardware problem.
hope if anyone has the experience and could help me
it really confuse me.
Thanks

welll this might be a little solution i read in another thread...sum times the phone will not read the sim becuz its not making enough contact to the phone...so maybe a little piece of paper on top of the sim then put it in the phone MIGHT help..if it doesnt then ur phone is jacked up =P
or
when i put my tmobile sim in my unlocked 8925 it worked and then a couple our couldnt get n e service... and i checked my brothers phone and dad and they didnt have service too... so maybe sumtimes the network will nto work for a while. or sumthing
If you go in the phone options and do a manual network search, does it find anything?
Thanks brian_v3ntura:
but I tried paper, same thing, maybe not be contact problem.
Thanks kilrah:
I tried that, it shows " cannot read setting from network, try viewing setting later or disconnect data connection and try again."
I did saw something online that maybe because the Fido sim card maybe old (about 3 years), but it did work with sth. like Samsung blackjack II. maybe Kaiser is more complicated.
just wonding if anyone have experience that old sim card may have problem with new phones.
I will keeping trying...
My SIM card is about 4 years old.
I'd bet your Kaiser has a hardware problem.
Hi, guys
I tried a friend's Fido sim card, it works, I don't what's the difference, but it is just like that, maybe I should go get a new card.
Thanks everyone.
good
as one of the boys ur sim might be damaged/old (power failure issues most likely)

yeah, just what confused me is that the sim card still work with my other phones.
Hey guys,
Long time lurker here... and I'm having the same problem.
I have a foreign (Cyprus CytaMobile Vodaphone) SIM in my Kaiser. A couple times over the last few days I was getting the "no service" but if I reset (turn on/off) the device it was fine. Today I cannot get service on it at all. I tried it in an unlocked 1G iPhone and it didn't seem to work either.
I thought maybe the SIM is dead, however when the device it's in starts up, it asks me for the PIN set on the SIM card. I enter the PIN, and it unlocks the SIM. How could the SIM be dead if the PIN authenticates? However, when I put my regular Canadian Rogers SIM in, it works fine.
Where it usually says "Searching.." on the home screen, I once got "Denied, searching.." but I haven't been able to reproduce it.
Any ideas? The provider doesn't have a local roaming agreement, however for the past year it has always registered on the network and allowed me to check balance and send text messages.
Is it most likely a dead SIM or blocked by Rogers? I'm doubting the blocked part, but the successful PIN entry is what has me baffled...
Thanks!
Chris
Ok different SIM card also from Cyprus Cytamobile in a SE w810 does the same thing. Is Rogers seriously all of a sudden blocking these? There is no local roaming agreement, however I would always get the Rogers welcome text's and even be able to check balances. I've been doing this off and on for 4 years...
Anyone ever heard of something like this?
Thanks,
Chris
P.S. Sorry, getting a bit off topic but I thought the initial problem was related!
EDIT: Ok, I can also see all the SIM contacts and SMS messages stored on the SIM.

I also have the same problem with my tytn, I have a bad feeling it is hardware If you manage to find the problem please let me know. I have tried the paper thing and also all new firmware and OS nothing helps
Try setting it to GSM only (disable 3G) and see what happens.
To do that go to Settings->Personal->Phone->Band->Network Type=GSM.
If it works then, you might want to read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=419803

How to remove PIN on my Kaiser

Hi all,
I've just Recieved a second hand Kaiser. I can use it w/o any issue but the PIN and PIN2 are not default ones, I have no idea what they are. (thank god the "Require PIN when phone is used" option is not selected)
now there is only one attempt remaining and I feel that if I got it wrong, sth horrible will happen(permanent lock or sth else?). I know that if I dont touch the PIN settings, nothing will happen, but I can't make sure that my friends won't, accidently. Simply flash a new ROM or hardrest doesn't help removing the PIN~
Could someone tell me how to remove the old PIN plz? help!!!! Thanks a lot.
Try a reflash of the ROM; i've heard of this on the ATT forums and if i recall correctly, a reflash fixed things.

PIN relates to a SIM card NOT the phone or ROM. If you enter wrong PIN code 3 times in a row, the SIM card will be burned out.
Only the service provider (aka carrier) can give you the PIN. In case you don't know the old PIN, they will give you PIN2 to reset.
Another easy method: ask your carrier replace the SIM card then they will give you the PIN and of course, you can change it to your desired number.
@Kareem
Thanks for your kind suggestion but I've tried reflash ROMs and I think that doesn't help.
@Nghiem
Ok, that explains everything. I'm just too worried that my phone may get locked. I think now I can stop worrying, can't I?

I'm currently using the O2 PaynGo with free text bolt ons. Do I still get the free texts after replacing with a 3G sim?

If you log into your AT&T account, they offer support tutorials for your particular devices, one of which refers to sim/puk unlock. check it out.

Forgotten keypad PIN number

Guess who has been an idiot and forgot the keypad PIN number?? (Not the SIM card's PIN number, it's the keypad's PIN number)
Apart from doing a hard reset, is there a way to bypass it? I have some data & text messages that I want to keep...
If it's any help, I can dock my phone and can see all of the files on the phone & my memory card from my computer. I also can see the registry from my computer (CERegEditor)
Maybe a registry file placed in the startup folder to wipe the PIN number, assuming it's saved in the registry?
Thanks all.
never heard of any way and if there was a way around it the feature would not be much
use as it's the last line of protection vs. people stealing ones data if they steal ones phone

Thought I'd just check that you have tried to connect via activesync!? There's an option the first time you do it so the PC will unlock the phone for you.......
I guess you've tried that before you've hard reset though.....
Good luck.
Thanks for the reply. I didn't enable it, so it didn't work.
I have now since did a hard reset and am currently in progress of reinstalling the software including Microsoft MyPhone which backs up my text messages!

I have always said , that unless you are carrying your country's nuclear secrets or cheating on your spouse, there is no reason to be " padlocking "your phone.

lol, you don't know my friends - they usually go "wow nice phone", takes it and plays with it & sending some odd messages, etc.
So locking it stops them from doing it.
But even cheating on your spouse is dangerous from your phone. With at&t you can login to your account and look at the phone numbers for calls and texts. Hell there is even a device out now that will read deleted sms from a sim card. Although you have to take the card out of the phone but no better time than while they are in the shower...LOL.

No SIM Card

So last 5 minutos I have been freaking out over here, my Captivate just stoped recognizing my SIM card, everything was okay and my phone right here at my side until Astrid come bother me to do my homework, when I closed Astrid this notification pops upo saying that I have no SIM card on the phone and asking me to reboot it, so I rebooted and over and over again removed my card and still no results, anyone have ever had a similar problem? (it's not just for messages, its for everything)
If there is no solution how can I make my phone back to default options? so that I can return it to AT&T( right now I have Cognition 2.3b4), sorry for all the stupid questions

Trying to see if ur SIM card is toast.
Take your sim to a store and get a new one. I did it twice with my phone. The second time I showed the sales guy I had 2.2 with a custom rom after he *****ed about no 2.2 update for his captivate. They don't care. They are sales, not returns. And to answer your question, odin. You shouldn't be flashing if you don't know how to fix it.

Open channel for BIP

Hi, I get the annoying message "Open channel for BIP" from time to time. I can relate it to the second SIM-card. After I put it in, the messaging starts. Can I switch that off somehow?

Thanks, but already found that as well. It's a bit old and not a solution. Here a summary of what was found out there:
What is BIP:
Barrier Independent Protocol, relative new high speed channel for moving data between a BIP server and a storage device (like the SD card in a phone).
Someone meant it could have something to do with a SD card. There is no in the phone, the SD-Slot is used for the second SIM.
Another one updated the phone. Didn't help me.
App bugs? Don't think so. The messaging start when inserting the second SIM-card and stops after removing. No Apps installed or changed during that process.
The last person change his SIM-card then, and the messaging stopped for him.
So the main question remains: what ist that BIP about and what does it have to do with that SIM-card and can I stop it somehow?
I already changed the SIM-card. Now it's a new one but the same provider.
The other SIM doesn't make any problems, it's another provider. But the provider might not be the problem. When I exchange the place of each SIM the problem still exists. Does it have something to do with the combined SD-/SIM-card-slot?
Any ideas?

Some users said updating fixed the issue, but if nothing there worked on yours then I would honestly just try a factory reset to rule out other potential factors. It might still be related to an app that triggers something when 2nd sim is inserted, not sure... Are you on latest stock firmware, or rooted on custom roms?

OK, that's quite weird. I've absolutely no clue how, but it seems to be fixed. Without factory reset. No root, no custom rom. Latest firmware, so there was no option to update anything.
What have I done now:
I tried to figure out several combinations with both or one SIM-card in different slot-combinations. I wanted to know if it could have anything to do with the provider or the SIM-card-mount. Between I restarted and reinserted the SIM-Card mount several times. Then somehow the messaging stopped. Till now (about 24h) it's best behaved
So I'm sorry that I've opened an new thread, because it's quite close to the result of that one:

Goad you managed to get it sorted out, and thanks for posting back to close the loop
OK, it started again. Now installed Norton Antivirus and it found no virus but apps with unusual/unexpected behavior. It was one for my electronic scale (yolanda-app) and one for voice recording. Deinstalled both and the message was gone. Hopefully forever now...
I have no idea about anything y'all are discussing. However I just opened, turned on and connect to my hotspot, my second Samsung Galaxy J7crown in 2 months and I am getting same pop up. Try to search for answer and I get opinions, cause Google and assistant absolutely suck now on any actual FACT finding anymore. Did anyone figure this out yet? Google won't. I'm sure it's another thing they DON'T want you to know about. Frustrated....
I have to agree. I just recently got a j7 crown and am experiencing this same message from time to time. I just came here looking for answers but have found nothing. Hope it's nothing serious
I had this message only once, when I went to Japan then switched SIM card.
I have had the same issue all day today. I've had this phone since November and have randomly seen this pop up but never like it has today. I went to settings, about phone and clicked update and it has fixed it so far. It has only been 20 minutes but hoping it doesn't happen anymore. I never thought something would annoy and anger me the way that did lol!
I've had the same Galaxy J7 crown with StraightTalk service, since Feb 2019. I've never removed neither my SD nor SIM card. I only hey the BIP message briefly at bottom of screen every time I turn my phone on (like from being turned off completely, not just the screen).
It's not a nueseance to me, I am just wondering what exactly it means.
Any answers? In layman's terms? Thanks!
Duh!..
They are watching you. Isnt it odd that there is no definitive answer????
