hello there!
this is my first post here, although I've been member since a while
I hope you can help me solve my problem:
I've installed FDCSoft Start Menu [http://www.dotfred.net/FdcStartMenu.htm] and it works very great, but it only pops up when I press the hardware Start Button... and when the on-screen Start Menu is pressed, it shows the default Start Menu...
is there any way to fix that so when I press Start on screen the New Star Menu pops up?
thanks in advance! =)
when I press the Windows flag in the upper left corner I get the FDCsoft Start menu, and when I pres the Start text next to it the normal menu.
Maybe try to hit the screen really in the upleft corner...
(I have WM6.1 on Kaiser)
I'm very late, but a little help !
You can download and install "hook start menu", do a search on this forum.

Hello,
I'd appreciate to assign the 'volume' window to a hardware button - let's say the Button 6 (Voice Dial, which i never use).
The volume window is the one, you normally get then tapping on the volume icon on top of the screen.
This window should open/close by pressing the hardware button. Once it is open, I can set the actual volume with the Jog Wheel.
Any help is appreciated!
Chris
You can try something: install Wisbar Advance 3 just for trial. i know that you can show that "volume bubble" by pressing buttons on the taskbar, and i know it offers some links in the programs folder for utilities, like switch task etc., but i'm not sure if it brings a new link for that volume bubble (i unfortunately uninstalled WA3 yesterday so i cannot test - maybe someone who has it installed can verify the links so you don't have to install it...)
With Wisbar Advance 3 it works
Chris
hmmm, can you post the content of the link that does that ? or the .lnk file ? so others can do this without WA3...
Another suggestion: AEButton plus
I've been wondering for a while if this can be done?
I never use this button , too many OK or Select button on this device !
Cheers
JY
It can be done with AEB Plus, but there are some minor issues, the first press opens the start menu, but the second press works as mapped.
Got a question about Wisbar Advance 3 on the AT&T Tilt.
I've noticed there is something odd in the performance of the cascading Start menu function.
When I click on the start button icon on the screen, the cascading start menu works great.
When I press on the silver start menu "hard button" on the device, the traditional start menu comes up, like when Wisbar isn't running.
When I slide the phone open, and click the start menu "hard button" on the keyboard, the Wisbar cascading start menu works, just like if I had clicked on the start button on the screen.
1. Has anyone else encountered this?
2. Is there a way to get the silver start menu "hard button" to function just like the start menu "hard button" on the slide out keyboard?
Thanks in advance
i believe there is a setting in Wisebar adv to change this so when you click the windows button it will open the cascading menus. If no one confirms this, Ill load it on my phone tonight and double check

Click to collapse
I found that setting, and mine is clicked.
I think the Windows button on the slide out keyboard is mapped differently than the Windows button on the front of the phone.
You are correct. I found this rather annoying, until I downloaded AEButton plus and remapped the key. Handy for lots of things but use with caution!
Just go to Start->Settings->Buttons and remap your Start button to the Cascading Start.
I tried that. When I do that, the button brings up the cascading start menu, then closes immediately. sometimes it does it so fast, you can't see the menu even pop open.
I broke my screen, replacement is on the way, but in the meantime my phone is stuck on vibrate.
Would someone please either post screen shots of the start menu, settings menu and the wireless manager?
OR
Just a walk through of getting to the wireless manager from the start menu
and then the position of the "speaker" sound on button when selecting using
just the direction pad.
Like:
Start Key
Up Twice to select settings
Up key to go to tabs
Right twice to whatever settings tab
Down twice, right once to select wireless manager
Down three times to select speaker....
I realize that this is a long shot, just thought someone would be a good mood that has the AT&T stock ROM.
Thanks in advance.

My problem is that I press the "Home"key while making a call and it brings up the "Task Manager". I want to go to home (the little blue House icon), but it doesn't show. My friend has the same phone and has no problem to get to the "Home" menu while making a call. Please help.
Thanks
Carmen
are you just tapping it or holding it down for a few seconds?
