Check the below thread:

try another version of iGO.

try this one.
i have mine set up the same, sd card/igo8.

This is a what i have in my sys.txt
[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
resolution_dir="240_320"
vga=1

screen_y=640

3d_min_zoomlevel=40
3d_max_zfar=500

auto_nightmode=1
3d_max_tiltlevel=9000
[debug]
skip_eula=1
smart_2d=1
enable_roadshadow=1
[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7
You could also rename the file application.dat in the iGo8 folder on you storage card to igo8.exe - then create a shortcut with resco file explorer and add the shortcut to your start menu. You can now delete the igo8.exe that is on the phone memory. I did this on my TyTn to save memory and did the same on my Touch Pro and it works 100%

What could be happning is that IGO8 is mapping your contact list. Depending on how long the contact list is, it takes a long time to complete. After they get mapped, it really runs normally.

now kindda working

hey guys thanks for ur help with my igo8 install... igo8 now works and i also know what i did wrong.. all this time i created a folder on my micro sdcard called iGO8 then within that folder i installed another iGO8 folder.. thats why it didnt install.. after i got rid of the 1st igo8 folder the the program just installed..
now the igo8 works but i still have a little problem....i have major lag.. anyhelp would be nice guys.. thanks..

FYI ... iGo8 will run without installing the app. The autorun will add the correct registry entries for ROUTE TO within the contact application. It also adds the shortcuts to the windows start menu. But it will run directly from the SD card if you just make a shortcut.
However, what it also does it makes a copy of the sys.txt file in main memory. The problem most people have is after they have tried to install it once, the file has been copied and they only end up editing the one on the storage card. You have to have an exact copy in both locations for it to work properly.

Does anyone know the problem with the tapping sound?
If you enable the control of the light to be done by iGo then you get a repeating sound just like when tapping the screen..
Thanks in advance!

@opelaki
Open the iGO satellite view and you may see that that "click - click" is issued every time when the GPS receiver is polled (that green "LED" flashing, NOT the process bar). If THIS is the case close iGO go to settings - sounds and notifications - and disable "hardware buttons"

Take out the raw display, I had the exact same problem. I removed raw display, debug, and the 3d thing. I think it is raw display thought that is stopping you. Remove this entry from sys.txt and retry.

I went through the same drama's.
Now i have iGO installed, but have MAJOR lag.
Any idea how to fix it?
I also get the noise iGO makes when you touch something (Click sound) playing repeated over....and over....and over!

I am having the same problems with my fuze, i copy both folders over to sd card. and it goes through the install thing but will not start up. it just gets the wait cursor, then nothing happens at all. also on my x51v as soon as you pop the sd card in the autorun starts. with my fuze that does not happen

Move the folders iGO8 and 2577 to storage card
Navigate to 2577 on my phone via file explorer
Click AutoRun
After installation, navigate to the iGO8 folder on your storage card and run the iGO8.exe and it worked for me. I just copied that one and pasted in my programs folder and overwrote the install .lnk because it didn't work properly.
Make sure you did it in that process. I'm almost 100% sure that it should work. I have done it on 3 fuzes so far.
btw my SYS.txt is almost completely empty when I installed
Code:
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

How to install HTC Provided TomTom into SD card?

Hello,
There have been several people asking how TomTom (provided in HTC support site) can be installed into SD card storage instead of phone memory.
If anybody have succeeded to do that please post your answer into this thread. I am also working to find out if this can be done. If there is already a solution, please share your knowledge!
Or at least the voices directory?
This is what I've done:
Install Tom Tom via Active sync in P3600 memory
With file explorer move the directory Navigator (located under Programs directory of your device) to the Programs directory in SD Card
Tap and hold on TomTom Navigator.exe (under SD Card\Programs\Navigators) and select copy
Go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs and paste the link to TomTom (tap and hold)
Now You have two links to TomTom: remove the old one
Start TomTom from Programs Menu, wait for fix et voilĂ .....
Bye
Marco
Why would you even want this thing? It's a demo! It can only load on city map, nothing else in it as far as I can see?

Yes, Marco is right. I moved my Navigator directory to my miniSD card and saved over 5 meg of storage memory on my Trinity. TomTom works fine from my miniSD.

Tomtom boots direct after start, help

Hi,
Every time my Kaiser boots, directly Tomtom boots. That's very anoying, it's not in startup folder, tomtom is installed on sd.
any ideas?
Thanx
You'll find a directory on the root of your SD card '2577'
Copy this to your PC (you will need to replace it if ever you need to re-install) and then delete it.
It's for when you first put in the card but for some reason does not de-activate.
@Farsquidge
Thanx it worked, so happy now!
When I delete 2577 folder and start up tomtom again it cant find my maps...its very strange like that...any ideas?
That's very strange.
Have you actually installed the SW or are you just running the App from the SD card?
I think a better option for not having tomtom automatically start at boot up is to simply remove the autorun.exe file from the 2577 folder and leave everything else there. Did it right after buying my Tilt and haven't had the auto start problem since.
I have it installed to the phone...I dont know why the 2577 folder is so important.....??.....

When I remove that file, or any file for that matter in the 2577 folder it either still auto starts or says cannot find maps, what is the deal. Also when i boot the phone it also tries to install tomtom all over while the program starts too, I have to wait like 5 minutes for phone to becoem responsive to touch or buttons.

The 2577 directory is an autorun directory which means any program called autorun.exe inside will run as soon as the SD card is put into the device. Usually is used by GPS software for installation of its files.
just rename the 2577 file (e.g. call it 2577-ttn) and this should fix the auto-run problem. If you then want to change it back to autorun, just rename it 2577 again.

it says maps not found when you do that. anything I change or remove in the 2577 folder makes tom tom say no maps found, why does it need auto run for the maps??????????

Make sure the "ttnavigator.bif" file is under "\Storage Card\". Copy it from "\(Storage Card\)Program Files\navigator" directory if it's not there. Otherwise I have no idea.

TomTom auto start

TomTom auto starts everytime I unplug my diamond from an usb connection. It only takes a few button presses to exit out of TT but it gets annoying after a while.
Any ideas
Which version are you using, It use to happen I think with version number 5.21 because that version have got the "Autorun" file in the installation folder and whenever you dissconnect your device, the device recognise the extra memory as it is just plugged-in.
Sid
I am running TT6 (which came with the phone) and ROM 1.93.831.1 but it was doing it with the previous ROM version as well.
delete the 2577 folder on your internal storage/where ever else it maybe and this should stop it.
man you really should use the forum search.
Its "autorunning" everytime you unplug usb as it sees the memory card again and autoruns. Follow the advice in the previous post and please use the search next time.
Addicteddddd - Thanks, I will try that
Monty - I searched under Tom Tom and auto Start and could not find what I was looking for.
As I said, follow the post above (Addicteds). In directory 2577 on the Internal Store you should find directory \2577\autorun. Delete this file.
Doesn't work for TT7
TomTom loads evrytime I soft reset. I'm using TT7 so is it possible to disable autorun for TomTom 7 as there is no 2577 folder?

Check if there's anything in \Windows\StartUp ?
autorun
i know this is a old post but i have the same on my thd with autorun when i remove my sd card
best way I found to deal with this is just go to the sd card into folder 2577 and just rename the files in that folder or rename the folder.
that way if you do need it at any time you can just rename it.
and you have your autorun back.

The first thing iGO 8 does when you run it is show the loading screen. Is your "[folders] app=" line pointed to the right directory of where iGO is installed on your phone? Where is: Opslagkaart?
I have it installed on my SD card and my setting is:
[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"
All I have in my sys.txt is [folders], [interface] and [timezone], running version 8.0.0.49545. Everything works great for me.
thanks for your request!
opslagkaart is the same as SDCARD, its a Dutch word.
So my folder must be:
[folders]
app="Opslagkaart/iGO8"
I changed de sys.txt file as you said but it doesn't work eighter.
So any other possibility's ?
app="Internal Storage/iGO8"
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
skin="ui_igo8"
resolution_dir="240_320"
vga=1

Here is a working sys text for my touch diamond,
I think you need to use the 240x320 directory 640x480 is not supported.
Also the high res is for touch hd.
You can try this sys text but change the storage card as per your device sd card ( first line) and leave the rest as is.
add vga=1 to [interface]
or
open up yor data file and see if it has a folder with that resolution. If not, update your data file.
Oke, again thanks for your answers, but stil doesn't work!
I copied the sys.txt file from Londontownguy to my system file and it seems to work............... seems!
when i start the igo8.exe i got the startsceen, then the system go back to the igo8 directory and nothing, the system stand still.
When i start the .exe file again i got the message:
previous instance of iGO8 has not finished exiting yet.
please try again in a few seconds or soft-reset your device.
something in the sys.txt file is still wrong?
This is baffling maybe something is missing in your files, maybe try
app="%Opslagkaart%/iGO8" ie with the percentage marks as previous poster quoted
I tried the marks % in the folder app=/%Opslagkaart%/IGO8, but guess not working............
what seems to be simple...............
i realy dont know anymore.

I was just reading through cause I'm hoping to give this app a try.
Not to nitpick if it's just a typo but I believe he recommended using:
app=%Opslagkaart%/IGO8
and NOT app=/%Opslagkaart%/IGO8
Single character can mess it up, you know.

app="%Opslagkaart%/iGO8" try also with the " " added, unless there is another difference with the raphael and diamond I thought it was only the sd card. It took me ages to get compile the right sys text I kept getting the same errors. My sys text works on latest 8.3 and also 8.0. Maybe there are some other files missing.
Wait
Wait wait !
In french, we have a sentence : "Ne pas mettre la charrue avant les boeufs"
Your error message only tell us that igo don't find a file.
First thing : how do you installed igo ?
I could see two things in your case :
- maybe there is another ini file in the main memory, program files folder, of your device and the one on storage card is not used
- maybe the link on the start menu that you use try to go to another folder than storagecard\igo8
Try to run igo directly from the folder on your storage card by launching the app from file explorer.
Kinds regards
Your data.zip (or your skin file) has not the apropriate files for touch pro resolution.
Try a diferent data.zip that works with your iGO8 version.
If you accidentaly choose a skin that does not work with touch pro when you last run iGO8, and after restart does not start anymore, just go to \Storage Card(..whatever)\iGO8\Contents\Skin\ and delete it. It will start with the default skin.
Good luck.
Edit. My sys.txt has nothing related to 640x480 or 480x640.

Folder Content should not be empty. It has to contain the following folders,
Building -> (files to see buildings on the map, can be empty though)
Dem -> (file to see mountains etc, can be empty though)
Lang -> (Language files)
Map -> (Map files)
Poi -> (Poi files)
