CDMA Diamond - What Can I do? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

So I'm a total WINMO noobie. I've never used a PocketPC, in fact i've owned two phones, the most advanced of the two being a simple MOTORAZR.
I've purchased a CDMA Sprint Diamond, done nothing on it.
I'm not sure what posted on this forum applies to GSM only, so what can I do on the CDMA version?
Can anyone mention some registry tweaks, what programs WON'T work, etc.
I'm very technologically inclined, so don't dumb it down for me
Thanks,
intx

Question because I don't know :)

I know the 8125 is a wiz100 and I mostly know what you can do to it by lurking around here, But a friend has a Sprint 6700, WHat is the differance
besides the processor.
Is it in the Wiz family or what is it.
I was wondering is some of the stuff here would work like splash screens and such.
I know the roms are different but most of the Reg edits should still be valid.
Thanks
The Sprint/Verizon 6700 is known by the name "Apache". The main difference between it and the Wizard are the CDMA radio and the processor.
Do a search for "Apache" and you will probably find what you are looking for....
Thanks
That is what I wanted to know.

Not to be an arse about it, but it's obvious that you did no research on this question before posting. A search of the forums would have shown you the thread located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=244441&highlight=CDMA+Harrier+wm5
You might get more results if you at least look first. If you have looked, you didn't state it and your post sounded like you couldn't be arsed enough to look.
Again, I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm trying to make a point that many people seem to have problems grasping.
I've searched the forums many times, and I would still post the question from time to time if others didn't just to be sure someone didn't just discover something.
I personally would like to know if there is a Harrier CDMA upgrade to WM5 or WM6 that forgoes the the radio, or if someone has tried to use the radio "drivers" out of a 6700 (Apache) to any degree of sucess. In my research, I've seen the idea floated, but I'm not sure how deeply the situation has been probed.
I do appreciate the work Helmi and others do, and I simply want to know if there is any update on this front.
Guys, does a harrier get completely bricked if it is upgraded to WM6 or does it just lose its radio/phone functionality? The reason I ask is I am a Kaiser user but I have my old Verizon Harrier that I'd like to make use of its gorgeous 3.5" display for movies while in the car (very safe, I know).
I'm on ATT now, so no more Verizon. I'd be using this device strictly for its PDA functionality.
I realize I can just use TCPMP on the wm2003 OS as is, but i figured there were some chefs that had done some pretty sweet roms for the device. Heck, I don't even need WM6, I'll just take the best Rom, regardless of which winmo version.
I know in the kaiser forums, duttythroy is pretty much the heavyweight chef. Is there a similar heavyweight rom or chef that everyone tends to lean towards on the harrier/BA? I spent about 15 mins doing some searches and reading Wikis but honestly couldn't find any info on harrier cooked roms.
It is now possible that Harrier could be hacked.
Unfortunately, the HTC CDMA hacking community has moved on. The HTC encryption on the ROM wasn't broken until after Harrier was long discontinued.
And, with new devices sporting gpsOne and EV-DO Rev A, there are now clear technical advantages to modern devices.
Ideally, HTC would have done the right thing and kept supporting older models. But, you already know that...
I don't care about the radio on the Harrier
As the previous poster mentions...Can I slap a Blue Angel ROM on my Harrier if I don't care about the radio? It would be a great 2nd device if I could get WM5 or WM6 on it. Again...I don't need (nor want) the CDMA radio on it to work.
Thanks.
no sir, tried myself, almost bricked phone DO NOT DO IT.

is my t-mobile wing a s730 or an Atlas?

I have an older version of touch-it i got off the wings thread, after like 20 hours of reading, and have used it ever since. Now i am back to reading countless threads, and come to the realization i have a htc atlas*t-mobile wing, and wonder if i am in the right categories for software and things. I have been happy with the rom i have installed off this category except wonder if my phone has more potential because i might not of been reading the right category for my specific phone. I have never had video working on my phone is one thing i wonder if others have. I would love any help. I do have some questions if possible, i have not just jumped in and not try understanding myself.
if anyone is willing to point me in the right direction or have a conversation on the purple T-mobile Wing, *HTC Atlas or whatever that would be sweet!

is my specific phone. does that mean there is limitations to which .roms I am using? I am ready to upgrade the os on it... its HTC 4350 Atlas - Aka T-mobile Wing...
installed coreplayer to no avail as well... thanks for reading
I dont remember what the T-mobile wing is called, but its not the S730.
Since this is the wrong forum for the T-Mobile Wing we cant offer too much help there is a forum on XDA for your phone, but I am on my phone and digging that up right now would take a while
If you got the rom for your phone off of this forum it is possible aspects of it are running less than your phone could run them at but I would only see that being a driver issue instead of Rom issue.

Only 5 pages for cdma?

????
what does everybody own a gsm version?
all the cdma owners hang out over at ppcgeeks.com lol
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=67
one could conclude that 80% of all wm issues people have are in no way related to what phone network they use and as such then can find help and programs in other forums then the one made for the phone they own
Supply and demand I guess... GSM coverage far outweighs that of CDMA.
Like Rudegar said, a lot of us simply hang out in the regular Diamond forums because not much is really carrier/network specific.

[REQ] Re-Label Forums

Just throwing out a request to label this forum as GSM so as not to confuse MANY of the new users that try to install GSM ROM's on their CDMA phones. I can see people thinking this isn't necessary, but because of the fragmentation between the GSM (xda) & CDMA (ppcgeeks) forums, there needs to be clarification. That or the CDMA on xda needs to be better promoted.
Also Rhodium needs to be removed from the description of the Touch Diamond 2 I just noticed today
