I got a Wing and I've read that u can listen to the radio on it? How? I've even flashed a radio update but have no idea on how to turn the radio on or use it.
There is no radio built into the wing.
You can listen to online radio stations, but unfortunately, you have been mislead as far as the regular radios.
maybe you're confusing am/fm radio with the radio in mobile software?
what radio on mobile software?
also, what is this GSM-03.07.90? I flashed my Wing with this, thought it was for radio use.
the "radio" in a radio rom refers to the GSM radio that the device uses to communicate on GSM networks. There is no radio in the Herald/Wing that you can actually listen to.
Unless, of course, you count listening to people talk in the phone as listening to the GSM radio.
thestreamcenter.com/pda is as close to radio as your gonna get. Its pretty cool though
Talked my friend into the Tilt. Didn't want to take responsibility for ROM flashing his unit, so left him with the bloat-free standard AT&T ROM with a number of installed cabs (also standard AT&T radio). Phone works literally everywhere, EXCEPT for the city in which he lives (Gainesville, Florida - 3G area). Even works on the highway just outside the city, but no luck when he's in the city. Familiar with all the standard radio problems, but not working in a single confined area is new to me. Sound to me like it could be fixed with a new radio. Could it be something other than that? I have used my unit while visiting Gainesville with no problems (I even get HSDPA in places), both pre and post flashing new ROMs/radios. He's within 30 days and I'd hate for him to have a hardware problem and me think it's just a radio issue. Searched for a while and not seen anything like this. Thanks in advance.

That's really weird. If he's in within 30 days then I would just exchange it instead of flashing it with another radio.
Guys and gals,
Might someone post a CAB of the Diamond's FM radio application. I'd like to test and see if it works on the US 3G Diamond (which doesn't include the FM radio app).
thanks!

Courtesy of sub69, he took it off of his Diamond.
Awesome-- thanks! The app runs fine but dumb me, I'm at a trade show and negected to bring the headset (aka antenna). Will test tomorrow evening and report back how well the radio works in terms of reception.
Please let us now if it worked because on Monday I'll get my U.S. version of the 3G Diamond!!!

thanks, I already tested in mine Diamond US version and works very well
It works?!
So are you confirming it works the FM in the us diamond?
I installed the FM Radio CAB on my US Diamond, and it works perfectly. Wow, I totally forgot they had FM radio, so this was a pleasant surprise.
It needs something plugged into the USB port, but I just use my USB-audio plug adapter, and it works fine through the speaker.
OK, I'm back now and have my headset. It works-- listening to NPR right now . Not the most impressive reception (some light static indoors) but it works about as well as the original Diamond. Thanks again for posting that CAB file so quickly!
found it doesnt work on Juicy's most recent rom. just says "unexpected error"
Thanks for the post, just installed it on my Sprint Diamond, will test later.
I wish someone could rip the TV out off the Pro. I was told there was a hard ware difference that makes it possible, but I don't believe it. HTC and Sprint probably just didn't want to include it to make the Pro seem more feature packed.
would someone please let me know if they got the fm cab to work on the sprint htc diamond?? i downloaded it plugged in the headset for reception and it just doesnt work.am i doing somthing wrong?????
Doesn't work for me either with the Sprint Diamond.

Sprint Diamond does not have the internal tuner, which is the only thing that would be needed after this cab and the antenna which is just a USB plug. Other have been trying to figure this out and just ended up realizing that it doesnt have hall the necessary hardware.
Is there a way to listen to the radio without headset? (I know that the headset is antenna)
Diamond FM radio app
Thanks for posting the app - I have the Canadian Telus version of the Diamond, and I get the Unexpected Error trying to run the app. Sometimes it will get past that and actually shows the radio interface, but none of the buttons work :-(
Too bad...

Got this from another thread -
Using wifi or data go to www.thestreamcenter.com/pda and listen to all the FM radio your heart desires

Once again, courtesy of Sub69... I posted it in another spot on my other user name, I'm not gonna attach it here and waste space.

The FM radio on my device suck badly. I can't get any radio channel when i'm in the house. And when I'm outside, I can barely get 1-2 channels. I don't know if the FM radio antenna in the Fuze sucks or it is because i'm using an American device in Canada. Before giving up on FM radio, I want to try it with another software. Is there any other FM radio software out there?
Also, I've tried and did not success to install XM radio software. Can anyone upload another CAB of XM radio to another site than rapidshare?
Thanks all, I'm a big fan of Radio.
I'm using radio 1.02.25.32, with Fido, Canada. It's too early for the Fuze community to determine which radio is the best... I'm planning on trying another radio... then again, I read that this is the best radio for GPS signal. Is there a good radio for Montreal user, to have both good signal for GPS and FM radio?
I posted an alternate FM Radio app in my thread titled MSM72xx chipset level configuration tools in this forum.. try that?
Just wondering if I can listen to radio stations around the world on my kaiser? Im in australia and want to listen to stations from latin america. Tried a few of the ones that stream over the net but they don't seem to work (eg. batanga)
Resco radio is good for me, but i'm not sure about latin american radio channels...you could check it out though...
Also Mobile Satellite Radio looks good, but haven't tried it myself...
you might want to search on the forums for other interesting stuff...
