Overclocking CPU - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

Hello,is it possible to overclock the cpu?
I have WM6
Thanks

Pl use the search option before posting a question. There's plenty of threads that relate to overclocking the cpu. You can use an application like battery status.

Battey Status, Try this! This! Or there is a new program called Homescreen Plus Plus (Formerly Battery Status) simply disable everything except omap overclocking! Homescreen Plus Plus

OMAP Overclock - Registry Setting Possible?

I currently run my T-Mobile Wing at 240MHz thanks to the OMAP Overclock utility. I have found it to be quite stable but hate the process of having to re-overclock after each soft reset. I have done some research here on XDA but haven't found the answer to one or both of these questions:
1. Can the OMAP application be configured in some way to automagically run setting the processor to a desired speed after a soft reset (no user intervention)?
2. Is there a registry setting that can overlock the processor without requiring the OMAP application?
Many Thanks
BatteryStatus has an option to Overclock on reboot and Overclock on Wake Up
Works like a charm
second alternative to batterystatus is a program called omapclockplus (it's an additional program on top of omapclock...which might be what you're using to overclock)...might need to do a search on the forums for it...or a search through google...but it's a small program that will automatically set the clock speed to whatever you want on wakeup.

Thanks for the suggestion - tried BatteryStatus but wasn't all that thrilled with it personally. The OMAPClockPlus did the trick.

HTC Diamond & Battery Status Extended

Hi.
I was wondering if the current Diamond owners already tried to run battery status extended to overclock the 528mhz cpu to a higher speed (let's say 600mhz)? And if so, what are the experiences till now.
Kind Regards,
TheWizard
I've tried it but it doesn't work. I believe the qualcomm proc isn't an OMAP proc, so you can't overclock it using batterystatus. It does show other stats though, but the main use of batterystatus is not available here.
xzces, sounds like you only tried the "free" version, not the "advcanced" one?
i tried to install this software (cab and desktop setup) but it does not work for me: installing the advanced version, the program does not show under "programs", but very well under "remove programs". so i can not start but only remove it.
trying the normal version, i am able to start the program, but after it says that it first has to active itself, nothing happened, so i deleted this one, too.
curiously, the task manager shows up under "programs" on both versions but does not start, too.
either this software cannot run (till now) on a touch diamond or i am too stupid to get it running (perhaps the tool "advanced config" or the settings i made with it causes the problem).

i have it on my diamond and working fine in the background. the CPU speed it shows is wrong (320). i should like to have it in htcflow, i miss looking at the CPU gauge and waiting for some heavy process or even the boot to finish.
there a lot of today plugins battery status ike but none with the CPU gauge.

I think the right link should be :

find it by searching "performance.exe" in 4share......

Thank you! I've tried it but nothing happen.
Seems a hoax
528 Mhz with so many light roms here make your Diamond a racer compared to other Pocket PC devices. Don't be greedy, the speed is faar better really! If you still wanna move ahead, read overclocking guide (little outdated though).

Carty..

Yes it's a hoax.

Is there not a jar file for overclocking to download directly to my htc touch that will actually work? Just curious..

Kaiser slow as hell

I have searched for lag, slow , over clock, precessor and a bunch of other thing's and I can't find where I can find out why the hell my Kaiser is running slow as hell? Like I can't even friggin type sometimes? I close all of the program's and such and it still lag's out. I am wondering if there is a over clock program like there is for the EXCALIBER and or a ROM that people know of that is VERY fast with Window's Live and just simple stuff like that?
Please don't respond with SEARCH, I clearly have and haven't found anything that has to do with it in the title.
Thank you ahead of time.
Try These
Hello carltmac,
From what I've heard, it is not possible to overclock the Kaiser's processor at this time, simply because nobody has written any software to do this. What you can try is this task manager to see if any unnecessary programs are running, and then check your \Windows\Startup folder to see what unnecessary programs are running on startup. You can also download Cleartemp, which I like. All these programs are free. Hope this has all helped,
Dave
Our friend jockey has brought up a Kaiser Overclocking Discussion thread in the past. From what I can tell the Kaiser Processor it Maxed out and is not worth Overclocking.
In fact here it is. Did a quick search and found it.

Overclock cab file for TP

hi all, here is a overclock cab file, it's a freeware i found somewhere(forgot)
i have use over 3 month with no problems
it can lock the cpu to 624 mhz (300mhz when stand by mode)
as my experience, because it mimimal cpu at 300mhz when stand by,
so it didn't my the battery run out faster than not install it.
and you can see the device run smooth after you you use it.
just copy the file to device/window/program(or start menu/program)
run it> check "enable dynamic cpu frequence changing" > choose 624mhz
only need to run the first time.
i only tested in Touch Pro, i don't know will it work on other device
please take the own rise for using it.

I attach in zip file on post 13
thanks this works great on my tp, this is just like apache overclock program
This looks really cool and thanks for the interesting find..BUT. From experience in building computers I have learned that overclocking makes more heat and a lot of it. How do i know this wont fry my phone?
can this be uploaded to a different server? it says only 10 downloads is available and those have been reached.
can someone who downloaded please attatch here for others to try?
Can anyone attach it to a post heare as zip file... that should work
Thanks in advance!
bump for new d/l link plz..
You can post the file over at my hosting site www.FarBeyondHosting.com

I searched google for a bit and found a post that was nearly exactly the same as the OP, only the english was aweful. This sounds too good to be true, but I am very interested.
! I missed it!?
Bump for zip or other way of acquiring overclocking cab for Touch pro/Fuze!!
Anyone ever upload this? This could be groundbreaking for our phones!
Please upload again. I would like to try this app

i agree. this sounds awesome but if your cpu doesnt have proper cooling wont this cause instability?
it would be awesome if there was some data out there about the TP specifically
Just did a test with SPB benchmark application.

Does it even change the clock speed? I wonder if under device information it changes from 528 to 624 (or whatever it was). and if it does change it, is it only changing the display of the clock speed rather then the actual clock speed.
There was an over-clocker posted in the blackstone forum (I think) a while ago, and I believe that it was basically a hoax. You can look it up in their software forum.

Droid Noob...Maximize my SGS

Hi all,
Finally got my hands on a GS but want to optimize it as best i can as far as battery life, memory management etc.
I was told there is an app i can use that will manage everything in the background and improves performance and battery life. If this is true, what is it called?
And to prove how much of a noob I am, how can I stop the vibrating when entering in text or hitting the back/menu buttons? I don't need to know if i'm hitting the keyboard. I'll see it
Thanks all,
FK SGS
