What email software r u using in ur Fuze? - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Colleagues,
I know this has been overly discussed in these forums but it is all scattered around in many different threads and it is difficult to consolidate in order to decide what to use. So, here is the question: what email software are you using in your Fuze? Thank in advance.

factory mail client does the work for me

Same here... default email client with TouchFlo works nicely! Have 4 email accounts there.

Ditto, including Exchange.

I use the default email client with SEVEN for push gmail. The SEVEN Beta client is free for personal use.

Microsoft Exchange Mail over WLAN

First of all...I am having a blast on this site the last couple of days! Thanks everyone.
I have been searching and found several old threads about Exchange mail over WLAN but not a lot of traffic on it lately. Is that because one program is so superior to the rest that it's an ignored topic now? Any oppinions on what is the best way?

I use active sync for my wireless exchange connectivity, no problem yet, in fact, it works great.

Push-mail: testers needed!

Hello,
I'm running an Exchange server with push-mail support.
I've been using it for several weeks alone now, working perfectly fine. Now, I'm looking for 5 other people to help me test to see about the performance (partially due to bandwidth).
Then later on, hopefully I'll be able to add more users. For free, but donations will always be appreciated
If you want to help me test, please leave a message here. I'll contact you through pm. You will get a 1GB mailbox, with spam filter putting all spam in a separate folder. Aliases are supported too, so if you write an e-mail from your Diamond it will look like it was sent from your regular mail address.
I had thought free push-mail was something many people would like to have. But it appears that no-one is interested?
i can help you to test it.
I'm In
Exchange 2007? I'm in. I use Mail2web now, but am willing to help out.
I have just stopped using mail2web as they are wanting to charge. I'll help out.
Hey
I will be glad if you could let me be one of your beta testers.
Awaiting for your positive response....
If you are still looking i'll help beta test.

Hello nanastas,
It's 2003. The processor unfortunately is still 32 bits. 2007 Requires a 64 bit, though I believe they do have a trial version @ 32 bits
Anyway, if things work out perfectly fine during testing, and people are willing to donate, hopefully I can offer Exchange 2007 in the future.
All the rest I have sent a PM. Thanks!

Only seen KeePass Droid so far. It looks like you need to create initial database on a pc and download to device, but should good when its complete. They have versions for winmo, blackberry, symbian so think it wont be long before its fully functional.
I e-mailed Ilium about eWallet, loved that one on WinMo, but they don't really have any plans for android at this point
keepass droid seems nice, getting tan-lists working takes quite a while (tan-wizard in kp2, export to kp1, export to kp droid...) but now everything works great, thanks for the tip
Have anyone tried SplashId for Android?

PGP
Hi!
Do you know any PGP/GPG application for android? I would like to read my PGP encrypted emails on Hero.
Regards
I've emailed Developer One to see if they have any plans for an Android version of Code Wallet.
Will update with reply.
Edit : email reply "At this time we are not planning it, maybe in the future."
eWallet
I got this reply from Ilium Software on August 12th:
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. We are planning a solution for Android, but we don't yet have a final plan. I'll pass your request to our developers!"
I used eWallet for many years on Windows and it's the program I miss the most now, along with a divX player.

Ditto that, I will contact Illium too - the more people do that, the more likely the port will be.

install debian and use that to find programs to read them, e.g. i use mutt and gpg on my computer.
Try B-Folders, looks like a very nice app, it's free and their planning a desktop version with full sync as well. Encryption looks OK too!
This back from Ilium on 31st August:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. We are investigating our options for eWallet on Android, but we don't yet have a final plan. I'll pass your request to our developers!
Thanks again for contacting us and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions,

Ilium Software
I'm looking at B-folders at the moment, but ewallet is very good.
If KeePass is not your solution (it is mine ), you might want to try "Keeper" which is a free Android App with (paid) Win/Mac/Linux clients. However, I don't know if it covers advanced functionality like TANs really well...
Spb Wallet (and not only) for Android
Spb Software House has started to develop some (useless) application for Android, as Spb TV and Spb Geo Game.
We hope that in future also begin to develop some program more useful, such as the excellent Spb Wallet.
If you want to contribute to sustaining the interest to Android of Spb, please rated this poll:

[Q] HD7 WHY!!!

i should never have upgraded to this disappointing phone, you cant send your contacts from hd2, it wont work on my work email because the port is set on 143 on the hd7 and all other phones is 110 or adjustable. Why htc have released this phone and it is not compatable with previous models i will never know. surely they want to keep there existing customers instead of driving them away by making it so hard to upgraded... if anyone can offer me some help with sync my contacts then let me know. ive moved them to outlook and tried to do the hotmail live thing (which doesnt work) and i dont want to do it like that as my work is seperate from my hotmail account generally i think the phone is a mega disappointment and wondered if anyone else is as frustrated!!!!
To many this phone is not for them, but mostly before buying people research into it a lot and then buy it. i researched a lot and brought and i can say i'm extremely happy

same here, i am very happy with my htc hd7..
research first, then buy.. its not a hard thing.
however.... create a csv file from outlook and import it in gmail contacts ( if u dont have, create one). then sync your mail on hd7 and all will be ok!
Not for HD7 Thread, your issues are OS Specific mate, not phone specific. Post in the right forum.
Why don't you just copy your contacts to your SIM card on the HD2? Seems to be the most logical way to transfer contacts...
Sounds like you're not not setting up your work email account settings properly.
Port 110 is for POP3 servers and port 143 is for IMAP servers.
Be careful to specify the right option when you set the account up.

errrr.... No. You obviously haven't read the starting Post. What part of it is device specific? Becuase he has a HD7? By that logic, none of us should post in the WP7 General thread.
Nothing to do with HD7, Port 143 is for ALL WP7 Phones. So read before you post please.

the op has asked if anyone is frustrated with with their phone. I think 70% threads are about the os on this. If everyone had to post in windows phone section then we would have had an hardware section to talk about the phone and not a general section

*sigh* I give up. Please read the first post in future and not just the title
the real point is the OP should just read the manual first and google a bit before coming here posting half baked rants.

The Hotmail contact transfer does work, you're just maybe not doing it properly.
Like Digime said, if you're using port 143 then it's IMAP and not POP, there is an option for that. If you select IMAP it will be fine.
HTC manufactures hardware, not software. This runs Windows Phone 7 and if you're talking about contact compatability, they are compatible. Copy the contacts to the sim on the HD2 and pop the sim into the HD7. You can then copy them onto the HD7 and all will be well again.
HD7 = A very pretty paperweight.
I never thought I would rather have 6.5 on a phone instead of another OS.
HD7 = FAIL

Very insightful thanks.
Stick with hacking your HD2 then instead of providing redundant posts. Or care to share your issues?

6.5 is for little fairy men.
In all seriousness, I hate 6.5. Not sure why anyone would want to use that over any other OS. Sure it has more features than say WP7 but what's the use if it freezes or crashes every hour?

[Q] Android Group MMS/SMS

Do any of u guys know how to send a group MMS/SMS and have all of the responses show up in the same thread? I know that it is possible to send a group MMS by adding a period in the subject and sending it to multiple people, but the replies do not show up in the same thread; they show up in the individual responders threads. I know that it is possible since it works very well on the iPhone, so I was just hoping that it is also possible on Android and maybe I just haven't figured it out yet. IMO, it's an awesome feature, and seems like a simple feature to implement (I'm just guessing here as I have an almost non-existent knowledge of Android SMS/MMS protocols).
I came across this thread while looking for a solution, but all that was suggested is using other group chat like apps, that involve using data, and requiring the other parties involved to download a specific app.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774990
I have found multiple threads in different forums, all say the same. Use an app and ask everbody to use it... It seems that the Verizon Messages app does group messaging. I am with Sprint, so its not available for download to my phone.
Yea, I'm on ATT so I also can't use it
