hope someone on here will be lucky enough and give us all an insight.
i wonder what devices they'll be testing it on???

For the record, your article references Windows 7, not Windows Mobile 7. Moving this to Off-Topic.

Happy happy joy joy!
I would love to be able to use GP on my kaiser. When this comes I could write some code to let people add a location based upon where the Kaiser GPS is reading.
I love how one news site merely echoes another news site which echoes its source.. Word for word as well. Whatever happened to journalism?
Why not just post the original source article and save people jumping through hoops? http://msmobiles.com/news.php/6767.html

Works only with vista?
Please note that it works only with a Bluetooth connection...
I can;t instal when i select slide show on bluetooth service run instal Bluetooth Peripheral Device and can't instal what;s up i haven got driver?I have htc kaiser
Here you have both drivers for Vista x36 and 64-bits. You have to unzip (or uncab) the file to a folder, and tell Vista to search there the drivers.
I found the info from: http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3435304&SiteID=1
Hmm trying them here on server 2008 x64 and seem to not work there either...
Sideshow is not part of Server 2008 "Features or Roles" this will only work on a vista based OS 32 or 64 and any version. new beta should be with us mid to end next week.

Well thats a mistake then. Windows SideShow is Vista only. It would be rediculous to have it available on Windows Server 2008. SideShow is intended for things like viewing your email, getting the weather, viewing pictures etc - it has no place on a Server OS.

WP7 aaplications development

Win7 on N1

Does anyone have any interest in this? Win7 looks really nice and I was hoping something existed for us N1'ers.

Don't get me wrong, being a developer I love android. But I get paid alot more for developing Microsoft applications, its just the way it is. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. As far as mobile apps I have developed alot more android apps than I have windows. I love android but I also love windows and so does HTC. The only os I can say I really don't like is ios. So if I offended anyone I appologize. I'm just a gadget junkie who likes technology.

We actually have Ubuntu on Nexus One, I wonder if there's a virtual machine software for ARM architecture Ubuntu and... we then may be able to run windows 7 on Nexus One I know it'll be extremely difficult hahaha
TeamViewer works to remotely control a Windows 7 PC from your phone if that's good enough for what you want to do.
It is not possible because N1 has only 512mb ram
n Win7 cannot run directly on ARM cpu
so...you cannot even install it (requirement of Win7 is 1gb of ram and x86 [email protected])

I think the OP meant Windows Phone 7. But still, in a word, no. It will never happen. It's one thing to get an OS running which also runs on the Linux kernel, includes drivers for most of this hardware, supports this architecture, and is free to modify open source code. But Windows is none of these (except that it supports ARM). So no, not unless Microsoft helps us out with drivers and the source code. Anybody wanna call and ask them for it?

Android is open source. Meaning anyone can tweak it to work on any hardware, assuming the hardware has open source drivers, or can use drivers from other Android devices. That's the beauty of free software. Windows is closed-source and proprietary. Nobody can change it to work on other hardware. I'm not saying it's impossible to do, I'm saying it's impossible to even try without the source. Even then it would most likely be a monstrous task. But we'll never know for sure how difficult it will be, because nobody except Microsoft can even try. Understand? That's the difference between open and closed. And that's why many of us frown on Windows here.

As this platform continues to skyrocket in popularity it will continue to be the target of viruses and malware. Fortunately Unix has built in permissions and now Apple will have to have patch Tuesday like Microsoft.

Two possibilities here:
You don't get much.
You are married.
Which is it?
Macs are just as susceptible to viruses as anything else. Always have been. They just aren't targeted as much. Apple even sells an antivirus, they just keep it hush hush.
While windows is Targeted much much more, you can be much better defended if you know what you are doing.
The next time someone tells you, "Macs don't get viruses", ask them, "Then why does Apple sell an antivirus?"

I believe your answer is in the OP. (Sorry coudn't resist!) Thought about pointing it out but didn't want to encourage flaming.
Seriously though, thank you to the MODs for all their hard work! (Love your signature by the way)
I cant guess the last time I got a virus on Windows, maybe 1997/8?, and have never even thought about it on my MBP. Just ran a few terminal commands and still clean as a whistle. I use my Mac for all my Android stuff, dont have to worry about drivers...
Apple/Google bashing needs to stop. I love all my Google products and all my Apple products...who gives a damn who the manufacturer is, besides idiots...
