I would like to start a discussion on few supplies of alternate battery.
which might or might NOT work.
saw this E309412 1300mAh Battery for HTC Touch 3G Mobile Phone
1300mAh 3.7V.
weight: 24 g
szie: 5*3.8*0.7 cm
would this fit into the Diamond ?
there is also a E225967 1350mAh Battery for HTC Touch HD Mobile Phone
1350mAh 3.7V.
weight: 24 g
szie: 5.7*4.7*0.6 cm
which is bigger.
Question : will the E309412 work ?
Look @ this!!! (my Russian is very bad though)

Thats doubling your battery capacity here!
and for the HD:

I say this on china site
【产品型号】嘉运达 多普达S900 P3700
【电池电压】3.7V
【电池容量】1450mAh
【适用机型】多普达S900 P3700
In english it seems to be 1450 on same size battery ?!

I have a diamond, and I can make it threw an entire day on one battery charge. its kind of annoying. my phone cycles to check email every 15 min. maybe that is the problem?
but i was thinking of get the touch pro instead with sprint letting you change within the first 30 days.
does the pro have better battery life?
Depending on the Diamond version but if you are like me then your Diamond is the 900 mAh vs. 1350 mAh touch pro.
That's why I have 2 batteries....
I have used both devices and the Touch Pro's battery of course last longer with its 1340 mAh.
But only get the Touch Pro if you need the keyboard, because it is one hell of a heavy device and far more bulkier than I thought.
I was fortunate enough to borrow my friend's Touch Pro, for the same reason as you; to see what the battery life is like compared to the Diamond.
In the end I got a 1800 mAh battery for my Diamond and the weight and size of the device is still very reasonable.
How does the new Diamond2 perform in terms of battery life compared to a Diamond with extended battery (1340mAh) ?

According to Smartphoneshop info:
Touch Diamond 1:
900 mAh
Stand-by (max.) 285 hours
Touch Diamond 2:
1100 mAh
Stand-by (max.) 500 hours
OK and compared to the 1340mAh ?
I got a Diamond right now and am wondering if I should change it for Diamond 2 ?

i got the 1340mah and i am very happy with it....
I do have it too the 1340mAh and I'm pleased with it. According to the specs it should be almost the same than Diamond 2 with only 1100mAh .
Guys,
Can someone explain to me how the TD2 claims 50% more batter life then the TD???? The TD is 900 mah and the TD2 is 1100 mah... how is this 50% more or am I missing something?
I was thinking that maybe the TD2 uses a diff kind of battery but its the same Lith ion is it not?
Then I was thinking that maybe its the hardware but the TD2 has better specs then the TD so shouldnt it use more juice?
Then the TD2 screen size is bigger so shouldnt that also use more battery power?
So it excapes me how the TD2 has 50% more battery life??? I ask because I am considering to get the TD2 so I'm doing my due dilligance. My other choices are the HTC Touch HD and the Nokia N97.
thanks guys
HTC is a piece of sheet. Buy a Nokia
i cant tell why they say 50% better, but it is much better in battery life :-D
hummm..... thanks for the replies
although the battery capacity only went up slightly, htc said they decreased the battery usage, so a fully charged battery should last 50% longer. at least thats wut I've read..
They have made the device more power efficient, as I have said many times before on these forums, I DEFINITELY get at least 50% more life than I did on my TD1.
new battery for diamond 2
I use since one week this battery (1350mA)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DIAMOND2-LONG-LIFE-BA-S360-COMPATIBLE/dp/B002AANPYG
and it works fine, round about 30% more power! same size as original one and not expensive.

Well, I was asking myself the same question.
After looking at the size of booth ...well, if TD2 is 1100mah ... then TD1 is 600Mah ..
I think that the 900mah of the battery of the td1 was not true.
Look at this pic, the TD2 battery is almost the double of the size of the TD1...
(remember that the TD2 is bigger than the TD1)

tho the size is bigger its still not double i think.... hence it must be something to do with the ROM of the TD2 that is more energy efficient is all i can come up with... I doubt its the touch flow 3D as more was added to it and from that perspective, I would assume it uses more battery.. oh well....
Does anyone actually use the TD2 now who also had the TD as I think those people would know best.
thats true..
Rom does matter.
2 things that affect the battery life a lot
ROM version and Radio Version.
but according to my experience using newest HTC mobiles, i fells no worry.
upgrading to new official ROM and got so much improvements
you'll find newest official ROM release for TD2 at htc.com
Has anyone tried using HTC Desire HD batteries for their HD2? I just ordered these HD2 batteries that are 1350 mAh on an eBay store located in Brooklyn. They are 2 for $8, I figured worth a chance for only 8 bucks, but I'm still thinking 1350mAh still won't be enough. The HTC Desire HD batteries are 1500 mAh(or more) and almost look like they'd fit, but I'm unsure. Right now I'm running my HD2 on the Desire Z ROM that is rooted, I think it's made by Dandiest and Freak. This ROM is seriously the best out of the 3 I've tried. With it being rooted I was able to download the battery calibrator on the market and it has increased my battery life significantly. I'm still on the standard 1230mAh battery and I charged it to 100% and it lasted 13 hours before needing charged with mild usage. Any suggestions, or anyone know if the Desire HD batteries would fit and work?
Please Help
The Desire HD's battery has different dimensions. There's no way to fit in HD2. The DHD's battery is 54mm x 43mm x 5mm, the HD2's is 51,7mm x 46,0mm x 4,8mm
there is a hungarian web page : http://www.akkuk.hu/Akku-Kereses/
in this page you can search batteries for a lot of phones, type a model name in the "Keresési kulcsszó" textbox, and you can check the dimensions each of it...i would be surprised if you find an exact same dimension as HD2's battery
hello all
my battery life is so awful.. i wanna make the battery life longer
i saw this : 1800mah Andida Battery for HTC Desire HD
what do u think about this bat?
its make battery life longer,,, OR its a garbage ?
TNX !
wrong forum for Desire HD but to answer your question:
Andida ok for low cost replacement or spare (8USD or less)
reality is it is same capacity as standard at best, I have tested many Andida & other easy to find low cost brands & all have failed to better standard by any significant value .
thanks 4 the answer
