A flashing rhyme - Off-topic

Everytime I have a changing wish, Or my Kaiser badly needs a wash,
There are three things that I flash, The ROM, radio and the splash!

LOL, good rhyme,..
You always say that rhyme everytime you flash?? :O

It's good. I like where you're going! Unfortunately I'm a very proper grammar person so I HAVE to tell you that wash and splash don't rhyme

not bad at least flash and splash rhyme

Screen FADES White then Phone REBOOTS

My WING no matter what rom i flash it to, after any type of use the screen just fades white and reboots and does so with the stock rom, open touch, touch it, basically any rom i flash it to. I have searched and searched but no one else seems to have this problem. Is there any way to fix this?
I meant to also say that it did not do this initially. I used OT v3.0 and OT V4 and everything was fine for months, then one day out of the blue it began doing this. My phone was not HARD-SPLed then I tried HARD-SPL and it gave me the same issue

i have had a simiar issue ,when i go to flash my device it goes white and reboots, but still same rom??????what do i do ? im kind of a noob at all of this ,
fades to white
I had the same problem with a wizard about a year ago. I think it got overheated in a vehicle. I tried replacing the screen and a few other things. Nothing worked. (sorry to say) I ended up replacing it. I did turn it on about 3 mo later and it worked for about 10 min then did the fade to white thing again.
Mine also does this, but only after it had a nice drop to the ground. It is fine untill i start using it a lot, then it tends to fade and reboot often. Maybe yours also endured a some type of shock one way or another.

Just for info, What happens with ROM upgrade on Harrier?

So, I've been a member here for quite some time. I wanted a PDA2k when I still my my wallaby, but couldn't part with that much dough (I now have a mutant sx66 that cost me about $28).
I had read the wiki on how to upgrade ROMs and what not, and never asked myself the question: What actually happens when you flash the wrong ROM (WM5/6, for example) to a CDMA Harrier? Does it not work at all?
Thanks!
Harriers cant be upgraded, they will brick if you attempt to.
Yes, but what happens. Curiosity is killing me. Do they just not turn on, or get stuck at bootloader, fuchsia screen of death (I made that one up, but it sounds good)? Ooh, do little gremlins climb out of the screen?

Trackball Frozen Red

I don't know if this is the correct place for this, if not please move, thank you. After updating to Froyo, my trackball has been frozen red, I've tried flashing other roms... still red, Even in the bootloader screen the trackball is still red. The only time it's not red is when the phone is off. Any help? Thanks.
lol dont mean to laugh but that sounds like a pretty funny bug
Do not post personal problems in the development thread
lol, personal problems. Ya, take it to a shrink you whacko! Just go to the Q n A part of the Nexus forum and ask questions there next time, k?
Thread Moved to Q&A.
Ketchup?? XD
Sh-t is not funny til it happens to your nexus

Well the good thing is your phone still works... Did you drop or bang it? The only change you made was updating to froyo? If so, then try from scratch. Including upgrading your recovery again... Here, just follow the prerequisites in the link below and then follow those instructions to reinstall froyo. Post back your results.
Tutorial Here
No such luck after wiping clean and doing what the tutorial suggested even with a totally clean Froyo. Still stupid track ball stays lit. Occasionally changing from red to orange. At first it may sound funny but is actually quite annoying haha.

I'm speechless... I don't understand what would cause it to stay red then unless it's a hardware issue. Doesn't seem like a software issue anymore since you replaced all software.
Sorry then, you'll need to bang it really hard and see if it stops lol or replace it.
What happens when you get another notification? Like a tweet or something, does it change to that color and revert back to red?
I have no idea either. Thanks for your tries though. Well I guess since it's rooted I would have to pay for it since that clearly voids the warranty. And when I go to the notifications setting and change to different colors it faintly blinks that color in the background but is still red (or orange).

yea your red is stuck, def. not a software issue anymore. Sorry man... Say it's the Terminator edition.
Thanks a lot. I like your suggestion by the way lmao. But instead I called HTC and am sending it in for repairs within the next few days. Thanks for the tries again.

mind updating this with info from what happens with HTC?
Mine is stuck green... flashed recoveries and done full wipes too. What did you tell htc? They give you an approximate cost to repair? Im wondering if I should tell my phone insurance I lost it...

very strange brick type issue

ive got a weird problem with my g1.
turn it on with screen open, backlight. turn it on with screen closed, no backlight.
the moment i close the screen, backlight goes off and re-opening wont turn it on.
It stays stuck in the g1 logo. i CAN get to ASR and i CAN get to multicolour recovery screen. flashing new roms etc doesnt help. ive searched my head off but can find nout. i was going to just replace it but i cant find anything as good as the G1 (kb is the most essential thing ever)
this is wifes fone, so resolving it is of upmost importance
thanks for any advice.
after much flashing woes, i got a 1.6 stock image on there. boots now, still has the back light issue. when u close the kb, the os still works, just no more backlight so very hard to see.
Sounds like it's hardware.
99.99999% of the time these types of issues will be related to hardware. MAYBE you MIGHT flash ONE ROM in your LIFE that causes this issue - and then switching to a different ROM would fix it. Best bet if you still have warranty is to get a new one. If you don't - open it up and see if you can clean it.
its almost certainly hardware, i agree. its so weird. if the screen is only 90% closed (ie, you can stil see most of the spacebar, the screen is flipped currectly as if it was 100% closed, but the issue doesnt happen. its like there are TWO switches for closing/opening the screen, and the second breaks stuff
im very tempted to just jam something in the mech so it never full closes. ugly but effective.
Well, if you have warranty I'd just get it replaced. If not I'd still open it up to see if there is anything obvious. I would be hesitant to jam anything down there and end up breaking it even more.
not under waranty unfortunatly. I shall open it up once i get one of the bonkers screwdrivers i need to open the darned thing.

Image to make and disconnect a call

Personally,
I'm using a custom rom. I'm enjoying it but has
one thing that gets me upset, and the fact that every time I do a
connection and when I finish a call, I get a different picture
pet android. Well I wonder if this is to remove
image?
Sorry for my English ...
Thank Renato
