Hi,
I find the diamond a bit slow....i wanted to if an apps like Battery Status for elf exists for diamond...and slighly OC for better performances.
Thx,
the cpu in the diamond cant be overclocked

hi,
if you search along this forum you will find the anwser.
try to search "XCPUScalar"
i've got mine fully working at 500Mhz.
XCPUScalar is for intel PXA CPUs, trinity uses samsung cpu and XCPUscalar does nothing to it. Your 500MHz it's just a placebo effect.

Hi,
xcpuscalar has no effect on the samsung processor of the trinity, if you make a search about, you'll find many info...
afaik the only software that works with samsung is pocket hack master but is not stable and often crash

Just have to be reasonable, think 500mhz is a little bit too much...
And I wouldn't wanna kill batterylife for those few extra megahertz's...
Just a question, I know that for a desktop some extra mHz can mean alot, but what would the benefit be for a PPC?

Right, but if you underclock you buddy ( i.e. 251 mhz ) you can *increase* battery life ;-)

So nobody wants to help us over and underclocking our devices?!
"Just a question, I know that for a desktop some extra mHz can mean alot, but what would the benefit be for a PPC?"
without having all the numbers then i doubt it will mean that much as interfaces for different types of memory and interfaces would likely become bottleneck fast

I don't even think pocket hack master really does the overclocking on the samsung cpu. Last time I check, there's no official support for that cpu.
Nevertheless, I tried it - and tested it with benchmarking softwares - and it seems that it may even degrade performance!
Then I uninstalled it right away!
Hi all,
I would like to know if overvolting of msm 7201A is possible on htc diamond. I have overclocked this cpu at 710Mhz with wimospeed. At 729Mhz the device become unstable. So i would try to overvolt thi cpu to obtain better performance. In this way i don't need to buy a new device, because at default settings the htc diamond is very slow, in my opinion.
Thanks.
nobody answer?

Give 'em some time. I've been waiting for an answer for my question for a couple months now, .
In all seriousness though, I really don't have an answer for you. I can share my experiences with it though - I used to have an app baked into my ROMs that claimed to be able to overvolt a little bit, but it was all just a hoax. The app didn't actually do anything though, so I'm thinking "no".
Give it time though.
Good luck.

Oh sorry. Ok i'll wait for an answer.
u want water cooling too?
LOL, it's not necessary, default heatstink is enough.

Could be useful overclock RAM.... An HTC HD Mini has only 600 Mhz CPU and go faster and faster then Diamond...

you're right; i tried to set cpu speed at 400Mhz and the system reactivity was the same. Could be useful also increase bus speed. If this overclock is possible i can buy a 1350mah battery so i don't need a new smartphone lol.
Hey guys, have you ever heard that you can Overclock your GPU??
Some user got it done on Kaiser and scored 36.5 FPS on NeoCore!! Isn't it great??! Our devices are rather stronger that Kaiser... To do this, you have to add this line at your startup.txt:
clock_7x00.grp=0ax99
But that it doesn't seem to work... Because we need a kernel that let us to do this... Also, someone said it's not .grp and it's .gpu!
I'm really confused with that. So, let me know your experiences and let's discuss about this... Just imagine that you can play a lot of 3D apps much faster than you do right now... With a NAND build, we can hopefully get a functional Android on Topaz (Comparable to LEO)

That's related to overclocking the CPU... I'm talking about GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) which is different.

No so good, these results only because these devices have QVGA screens.
I seen even 37.9fps on my Polaris w/o GPU overclocks:

For our devices better way is decrease resolution like 240x400.
I wanna overclock my gpu but i couldn't find a kernal for it.if there is one please post a link.
I don't think that there is one, you can try some kernels with AHB overclocking, it should improve GPU performance. But I don't know it it's noticeable.
sorry

It's like overclocking a 10 year old graphics card for PC for it to be able to run Crysis.. do not even think about it. It's that simple.

thanks but it's for internal memory and not for GPU
......
in my opinion i don't believe that it is possible to overclock your gpu...i dont even think that Adreno 200 (which we have in our phones) it's overclock-able.
No, kid... no GPU Overclock for you.. if you want better gaming experience, buy up a better Phone !
disable CPU rendering

Hi
I want to know how to overclock the CPU,when I use EX kernel to overclock, the hightest option is 2.2G,I saw some one overclock the CPU to 2.2G even 2.3G,but how to do this
By the way, can the GPU be overclocked?

You probably meant that little cores are on 2188 MHz and big cores 2342 MHz. That's not an overclock, these are actual stock core clock speeds.
No way to overclock. Why even do that on a smartphone and SD821?

Most of the times, the answer to that question would be nothing more than: "because I can".
