Somebody has tried spanish rom??? - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have tried spanish rom and not runs. It says "invalid model ID". I bought X1i on Germany and I put on it a Generic UK ROM and it runs perfectly, but spanish rom not runs.
Thanks

spanish SPAIN ES or LATINAMERICA LAM ??
LAM is from X1A
ES is from X1i
I've flashed and tested both (on a security-unlocked device)

spanish es
this rom is [NEW]- GENERIC español ES ROM v1.02.934.3 thanks to diablo2004

1- you are possibly using a wrong RUU (notice there are 3 RUU apps: hard-spl RUU, radio RUU and ROM RUU)
2- possibly you didn't delete the previous ROM from the RUU folder, there MUST BE ONLY ONE *.nbh file in the RUU folder
3- try the SD card method:
- format micr SD card to FAT32 and "default" block size
- rename the ROM *.nbh to KOVSimg.nbh (uppercase doesn't matter...)
- copy kovsimg.nbh to the card, in the root directory
- manually launch bootloader (vol down + power)

I have tried that
I have tried by hardsppl method and only the spanish rom nbh file on the program directory and it says invalid id device and the other method (by the sd card) runs in the bootloader and says "loading" and do not do anything.

1) make sure you have correctly Hard-SPL your Xperia.. (in bootloader mode 3 color screen, it MUST say "Olinex")
2) make sure you dont have a CID-Locked Device
I've successfully flashed the Latin American Version, Smooth ROM

what is CID-Locked Device
I don´t know what is it. Thanks

I have tried also X1a latin american version
I have tried by hardspl method, sd.-card method and RUU method and doesn´t run. It says the same. By sd-card method it´s stays in "loading..." screen and not does nothing.

HELP! What is my country ID???

OK, I have a Cingular SX66, I flashed it using the WWE Versions With Arabic Customizing WITHOUT the ExtROM, meaning I kept the Cingular ExtROM, no problem, flashed find.
After that, I flashed the RadioROM 1.06.02 ALONE, and right now, when I hard reset, it says NO GSM, in other words, it became a PDA only, phone function is no longer avaiable. I tried to flash other i-Mate ROMs, but it keep says Country ID is not correct, N-N-12-12-12. I ran GetDeviceData.exe, it comes out like this:
PH20B1 B 1 WWE E 1.31.00 0 0 1.31.112
So now, what is my country ID so that I can use the xda3nbftool.exe? It used to be XGULA001, or is there a way to execute the program without checking the country code, or a ROM with no country code checking.
TIA for all of your helps!
Still looking for help, tried O2 launch ROM, wrong Mobile ID error.
BTW, this is the DeviceDate.txt, before and after:
Before:
PH20B1 B 1 WWE E XGULA001 1.20.10 1 0 1.20.115 1.02.10 02.10
After:
PH20B1 B 1 WWE E 1.31.00 0 0 1.31.112
Nevermind, problem solved by flash another RadioROM from QTEK.
Paper weight
JRSmooth, I just saw your posts. I'm experiencing the exact same thing!!
I tried to upgrade my phone during the Christmas vacasion and haven't been able to use it ever since. The radio says FAILED during the startup sequence (which takes forever after the "upgrade")
How exactly did you fix it??

Well your situation maybe different from mine.
The radioROM I used was corrupted, I kind of knew it because when I flashed it, it did not show what version of radioROM am I flashing into. Now, what error message if you try to flash it again? Try to use a different radioROM from the same mfg. as your last flash.
Hope this help.
Well, it's a kind of embarrassing situation...
I've flashed my GSM device with a CDMA radio stack... It shows up as FAILED if you look at the version.
Hello,
Because your device IDs are different, eg, PH20B1 as opposed to PH20B0, you'll have to make a batch file to fix this. Here are a few instructions I threw together but REMEMBER - I take no responsibility for any damage done to your device. You are following these instructions below at your own risk!
1.) Download a full ROM upgrade file of your choice. I recommend the i-mate one in this folder here - ftp://xda:[email protected]/Imate_PDA2k_WWE_12200_162_10600_SHIP/ but feel free to use another.
2.) Extract the files from your full ROM by opening it with Winzip or Winrar and dumping it's contents into a folder. From now on it will be refered to as "your folder".
3.) Copy the file "GetDeviceData.exe" from your folder to your device and run it. It wont appear to do anything but it has!
4.) From your PC, browse to the Windows folder on your device. Copy the file "DeviceData.txt" to your folder.
5.) Open the "DeviceData.txt" file on your PC. You will see what ROMs your device has installed on it. Mine reads (without the blank/null characters):
PH20B0 B
WWE E
O2___001
1.22.00 0 0
1.22.162
1.06.00 06.00
The "PH20B0" is the device id, the "WWE" part is the country code and the "O2___001" part is the operator ID. Identify this information from YOUR "DeviceData.txt" file as your devices are different from mine and you will need this info for your upgrade. Make sure you write them down because if it's incorrect, you'll get errors and your device will hang!!!
6.) Download the file attached to this post, "Fix.zip" and extract it to your folder. Make sure you have the two files "xda3nbftool.exe" and "Fix.bat" in the root of the folder, not in a folder of it's own!
7.) Edit the file in your folder "fix.bat" using notepad (DON'T RUN IT YET). Replace the words "PH20B0" with your device ID, "WWE" with your country code and "O2___001" with your operator ID. Now, exit this file and save your changes.
8.) Run "fix.bat" from you folder. A Command promt window should appear and process the ROM files. This will change the device ID, country code and the operator ID to the ones you specified, thus allowing the upgrade to work on your device.
AT THIS STAGE, IF YOU CONTINUE, YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE DATA AND PROGRAMS ON YOUR DEVICE!!! BACKUP ALL FILES THAT YOU NEED!!!
9.) Run the "BaUpgradeUt.exe" file from your folder. This will start the upgrade process, so follow the on-screen instructions. During this you will see a screen with "From:" and "To:" showing what versions you have got to what versions you're going to. Make sure this data is correct and then continue.
10.) Once the upgrade has finished you'll be instucted to do a hard reset.
YOUR DONE - You should now have the upgraded ROM!!!
Good luck with this and let me know how you get on!
Regards,
Dom
I got a device of a friend. I'm not sure he used a wrong ROM image or the upgrade failed but it ended up with no Radio or ext ROM version in the boot screen .. only Rom 1.12.
More over, running getdevicedata.exe gives empty file with only "PH20" written there!
.. and any rom flashing gives operator id error.
my question is, can I update the Rom files to have no operator ID ?
Biso007,
In theory, you should just be able to follow my instuctions above but instead of using the standard PH20B1 or PH20B0 in the -sd switch ot the batch file, use PH20. This should allow you to continue with the upgrade process.

Dom
Upgrading iMate PDA2k to O2 Rom
Can you tell me where I can download the Fix.Bat File?
Do you know if it will work to upgrade my iMate PDA2K to the O2 rom?
I keep getting an error message incorrect Country ID?
still getting the country id error...
can someone upload a country id free rom?
thanks
also it says checksum error.. how i fix this
thanks

Rom DUMP; Portuguese Qtek 1.40_142_1.12.00 (Edit)

Hi all.
Because in Portugal, garanty of devices are made by the rom they had when are bought, have dumped a rom from a 9090, bought in 8/6/2005.
Made a dumped rom with the instructions taken from wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel
Will upload to FTP as ROM_9090_WWE_portuguese.
Devices says:
ROM Version 1.40.00 WWE
rom date: 03/10/05
radion version: 1.12.00
protocol version: 1337.42
extrom version: 1.40.148
Hope MDAIII will update wiki, cause there are some carrier cabs from TMN.
Moved file from uploads
Renamed File
Renamed thread
Opened New Dumped Rom page on wiki
Linked file
File can now be found under:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/DUMP_QTEK_14000_148_12000_portuguese.rar
Hi there,
I'm a newbie to the forum and I've seen this ROM update to portuguese language.
I've been to the wiki blueangel forum but couldn't find anything to assist me in the update procedure, because the decompressed rar file show only one file named "XDAIIs.nb1" and no other kind of software to transfer it to the Qtek 9090.
Does the file needs to be changed into another type, or can it be splitted ?
Thanks is advance.
Best regards.
Did you think of reading the instruction on wiki that are in the link of the first post.
How to Restore
Insert SD Card to XDA IIs.
Enter to Bootloader Mode by press Power + Record Button and Soft Reset Pictures Here
There will be question, asking for dump ROM from SD card or not.
How to store SD Card data to PC (Must have SD Card Reader) inorder to use SD card for other purpose.
Download ntrw.exe
Copy ntrw.exe to C:\
At Dos Command Prompt goto C:
Type ntrw read XDAIIs.nb1 E: file XDAIIs.nb1 is the rom name (actually you can assign any word) and E: is Drive of SD Card Reader
You will see file name XDAIIs.nb1 at C:
Then you can format SC card, that's all.
How to write saved rom file to SD card.
Type ntrw write XDAIIs.nb1 E:
Need some advice
Anyone has tryied this rom, i have downloaded from the site but i dont know if it works, iam portuguese so if anyone had use this rom please say it.

Need some help

I'm completely new to all of this....so forgive me if I posted this in the wrong spot, or the answer is posted somewhere (I already looked around for the answers, and didn't find them).
I want to upgrade my Blue Angel to the new ROM....and there are a couple things in the instructions that I don't understand how to do:
1) "Resize your Extended ROM to 128KB and your Storage ROM to 60MB. You will use your SD card as a replacement for your EXTROM."
2) "Modify the operator in the ROM as needed:
* Determine your operator Information e.g.: "T-MOB101", or "Vodafone", or O2. See GetDeviceData.
* Open a command prompt, go to the folder where the ROM file resides (nk.nbf) and execute: SetOperator ???"
With the second one, I've already used GetDeviceData to find out that my operator is "XGULA001".
Edit: Another question that I have.....is Windows Media Player 9 included on this when I install the ROM? (if not, will I be able to install it later?)
Please someone answer, I know that someone has to know how to do this.
1. Modify the operator in the ROM as needed
Open a command window and execute: SetOperator ????
- Replace ???? with your Operator Information
- i.e.: T-MOB101, or Vodafone, or O2, or ...
I have no idea what I'm suppost to do, but I do know what my operator is.
read section 'How do I find out what my device configuration is before upgrading?'
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_GettingStarted
download and extract the file i uploaded, copy nk.nbf over the extracted director. launch your dos prompt, nagivate to the extracted directory, and run SetOperator.bat.
example: SetOperator.bat O2ASI001
where O2ASI001 is the operator code.
hope it works.

Thanks, thats the program that I needed......but now I have another problem.
When my BA is in bootloader mode, I can't update because the updater doesn't recognize the BA. When I try updating out of bootloader mode, the updater recognizes it at first..,...but when I start the update it goes into bootloader mode again, and it stops recognizing the BA so it can't update.
What can I do to solve this problem?
what error did u get?
Remove SD Card
Make sure you remove your SD card before you start the flash program. I have noticed the same problem if my 4gb SD card is still in the slot. After upgrading, you return the SD card in the slot and reset the device so the EXT-ROM directory can be read.
Thanks, that fixed the problem.....but now I have yet another problem.
The phone won't work, and I can't connect to my operator.....how do I connect to my operator? (My operator isn't listed anywhere on the BA)

Factory ROM Kaiser (HTC branded) stuck on Smart Mobility screen

I've tried to do a hard reset but it doesn't do anything. I can enter bootloader screen though. Is the wiki correct about hard reset being the two soft keys and the soft reset button?
Please help! I'm stuck without a phone!
The wiki is correct about that, but if that won't fix it I suggest flashing a new firmware to your phone from the microSD card. You can follow the instructions from the wiki on how to do that, just one thing that it leaves out: you must format the microSD card to FAT32 file system, most come set to the FAT file system.
This has saved me when my device couldn't boot after a bad flash, in fact I now do all of my flashes using this method and they never fail. Good luck!
Is there a HardSPL file to run from the MicroSD card?
Download HardSPL, extract the files, find the .nbh file, then follow the wiki instructions of renaming it to KAISIMG.nbh. That will work fine.
There only seems to be one file...an exe....
You have to run the .exe file to extract its' contents. In the folder that it extracts to you can find the .nbh file.
Sorry to pester you but which file do I rename...
sspl-kais
or
kaiser-hardspl
?
Actually both are required, first do the sslp file, then the hardSPL file.
So I rename the SSPL file and enter bootloader...
then repeat for the other file?
That is correct.
Thanks for your help.
For some reason when I format the MicroSD to FAT32 and copy the file over (and rename it) it enters bootloader and quickly accesses the card only to say something to the affect of no file found and then return to the bootloader screen.
It will only detect it the file if 3 things happen: it must be fat32, the file must be named KAISIMG.nbh exactly, including the caps, or it will not be detected, and the file must be valid for your phone. If the sspl isn't working, try just the hardSPL.
If all else fails, put the official AT&T firmware back on the phone (it can be found in the FTP under the wiki), then flash hardSPL from your PC.
down load the att rom found here ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Kaiser/Roms/ run the update.
download pof/olipros hard spl found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334679
no more worries, have fun flashing all the roms you want.

To restore a dumped ROM:
To get the tools you'll need, install Kitchen for Jade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441872).
Put your Part02.raw file in the Jade_Kitchen folder.
Open a command prompt and type cd c:\Jade_Kitchen.
Type the following two commands:
TOOLS\ImgfsToNb Part02.raw ROM\OS.nb.payload OS-new.nb.payload
TOOLS\NBMerge -kaiser OS-new.nb
Double-click htcrt.exe in the TOOLS folder:
Click the Build! button.
Select Jade * in Device list.
Put your version in the Version box.
Change Language if necessary.
Click ... after the OS box and select the OS-new.nb you just built (it's in the Jade_Kitchen folder).
Click Build! and enter RUU_signed.nbh in the File name box, click Save.
Wait a few minutes for htc rom tool to do it's stuff and you'll have RUU_signed.nbh in your Kade_Kitchen folder ready to be flashed.
Copy your new RUU_signed.nbh from the Jade_kitchen folder into the FLASH folder (you can delete or rename the RUU_signed.nbh that's already there).
Double-click CustomRUU.exe to flash the ROM.
Your phone should now be restored to it's original ROM.
Click to collapse
But CustomRUU.exe shows 0% and nothing happens..
**edit**
flashed HARD-SPL.. now the update run..
hmm i thought i need HARD-SPL only for modded ROMs not for original dumps ?!

You need to hard SPL to by pass the signing check on the ROM Images. Unless you dump the ROM and rebuild it and sign it again you'll need Hard SPL.
Dumped/Reconstructed ROM's are different from official releases.
Also without HardSPL, official releases won't flash if the Carrier ID (CID) is different (i.e. can't put an T-Mob Rom on a Vodafone device).
