I don't think so - it looks like it's a full OS translation.
there is lot's of part-translation solutions for most of the devices today.
BTW, it works really good!
great work dude

moved to the HD section

will it work on the diamond?

it will work on my htc fuze???
EDIT: This is working good on my HTC fuze
p.s. must do HR to delete all the previous hebrew software!!!

Does it show Hebrew in office as well?
Is it possible to set it as Hebrew enabled (Hebrew support but english menues)?

I took a close look, it's a full translation for the Touch HD.
I think that it will work on other devices but you will have some mistakes (such as 5 mp camera in Diamond...)

hmm...

It's a FULL OS TRANSLATION.
including the office applications, the games, the HTC applications, etc...
If you need only Hebrew support and keyboard - search for the Polaris Hebrew solution.

I am aware of the polaris hebrew.
I was wondering if only installing the first cab - will it enable hebrew and keyboard but keep the OS in english.

I looked inside the cab files, the first file is the polaris hebrew install with keyboard txt files, so i believe it will install only Heb fonts, right-left support and Heb keyboard. can you confirm that for the other people who's asking the same question?
and "dude" - do you have any suggest for the dialer?

Thanks for doing this!
Using Touch Pro:
Just tried installing the first cab, not the second, and I got the Hebrew fonts, right->left, and keyboard, which is all I want.
It's not a perfect system. For example, on the Hebrew keyboard (really Italian), there is no period. Also, in some apps, e.g. Notes, it's impossible to use as it puts the spaces in the wrong places. In Word, the spaces are correct but the cursor is in the wrong place. (All these issued may not be issues if the interface is Hebrew. I didn't try that).
I've purchased PDAC, and am waiting for them to send me the program, hopefully it will work for me. Eyron didn't work well so PDAC is my only hope.
EDIT: I uninstalled it and it seems to have uninstalled fine.

regarding the keyboard - look in the polaris thread.
I posted there (posts 400 and 401 I think) mappings for the Touch HD that I made. There are dot there as well as all the long-press keys.

Thanks. I downloaded the keyboard.cab and the text file you provided, but I don't know what I should replace with the text file.

Just replace the files in \windows with the new files I provided.

TF3D isn't working at all.
I'm with 1.19 based cooked ROM, and TF3D won't load. It's saying "tap to launch TF3D", I do tap, but it won't load.
Any ideas?
Amir.
Another update: after installation the phone doesn't work at all. No network at all times. Something is stuck.

All the issues with spaces and cursor are because you didn't install the mui.cab file.
you have there the *.css files which are dealing with those problem...

nope. This was the first item to install, after HR.
The problem occurs with all Free Hebrew versions.
Which 1.19 ROM did you install?

Cantonese Support?

I've just gotten my Touch Diamond a day ago and now I'm running Dutty's v2,3a rom, however I've noticed that it doesn't come with Cantonese support. Mp3's etc show *[email protected]()[email protected] instead of the Chinese CHARACTERS.
So can anybody tell me how install Chinese support?
Have a look here
Have Thai support on my Diamond & it works great.
Uhm, thanks but any free solutions?
Anybody else?
I'm not sure this solution has Cantonese support but you can give it a try. If it does not, don't blame me, I don't know Chinese
Also, this is not a solution to have the input things (no IME). You will only be able to read characters.
*Download Asukal's e-china for Diamond.
*Install the .cab. Soft reset.
*Download reloadnls.exe.
*Extract the .exe from the .zip and copy it to your Startup directory (usually Windows/Startup/)
*Soft reset.
*Check if your hard keys are still working. If not, add this registry value (it should already be added with the .cab) then soft reset
Code:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010411
"Keyboard Layout" = "00000409"
*Installing new languages support could make your keyboards messed up with the T9 input and stuck with numeric or symbol (full, compact and phone keyboards are concerned). If so, change those registry values :
Code:
HKCU\keyboard layout\Preload
"Default" = "e0010411" >> "Default" = "e0010409"
Code:
HKCU\keyboard layout\Preload\1
"Default" = "e0010411" >> "Default" = "e0010409"
I'm not sure if the last trick will work and fix your keyboards but it works for me.
Try this post in another thread on this fourm, its for the diamond:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2590632&postcount=6
just follow it step by step and you will have chinese (cantonese) support
@Chenman: I just did that and after a softreset, it hangs @ the Windows Mobile 6.1 screen....hard reset?
Hey Sasimi, did you try the one I sent you via pm ?

Why don't you simply install the Official Chinese ROM for Hong Kong?
This will surely be the best support for Cantonese!

Opal Keyboard Suite Fixed

So, I got it finaly working!!
I Wanted to use the Opal eT9 Keyboard Suite in my WWE Rom for quite some time now, but the T9 Menu with FN+Space maked it for me unuseable, because I need the function to produce ü,ä,ö for writing in German!!!!
I tried to make a fix cab but it didn't work...
So i made a cab with the Entire Suite which forwards the Original Funktion of the Fn-Space Key!
Many Thanks to DupinBJK for its original HTC Opal EzInput QVGA Project and MBarvian for his Keyboard Suite which i modified!!!

Hey dude,
Let me explain you what I did:
1- installed a wwe rom as you said;
2- went to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281 and downloaded [Full Keyboard] - phones with full HW keyboard (cab here http://www.4shared.com/file/65653543/320f3183/BJK_HTC_EzInput_QVGA_FullKbd_0409-RC1.html ) and installed the language from the same post (cab here http://www.4shared.com/file/65653788/aec7369/BJK_HTC_EzInput_QVGA_LPack_PT-RC1.html )
I can now use that nice keyboard, but when I slice hardeware keyboard, before if I want to do a "á" I should write "a" and the click fn-space to choose à, á, ä, etc.
After install those cabs and do the fn-space combination I get a menu to choose T9 portuguese, abc, choose language of the keyboard, t9 settings and about t9.
you can try the Fix now (first post), hope it works for you!!

Changing keyboard language (and dictionary)

I have just installed a new rom for my S730 (from thread called NEW ROM FOR s730er(20279) )
Works pretty nifty (after changing language to english), but I got some other problems.
My old Æ, Ø, Å (danish letters) dosn't work anymore. Before they worked fine with the fn-key.. I guess it's some registry fix I have to make it work?
Also, is it possible to install some danish dictionary?
Thanks
My guess is that that ROM doesn not contain Danish xt9 ldb files (and probably it doesn't contain keymap as well). You'll need the 0406/1030 files. You can extract those from a WM6.1 rom that does, then copy the Danish files over to your English ROM, add registry entries and you're settled.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360126 would be a good starting point, since the Vox (S710) and the Wings (S730) are more or less identical (for this matter, that is). Also read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319353.
I followed the instructions in the latter link above. The only thing to watch-out for is that in the registry you may get "Vox" instead of "Wings". Either rename the file or change the registry.
I've attached the keyboard data.

I read this :
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde...Mobile Smartphone Internationalization Issues
and succeeded to make the cabs for french, you can find the cab's here :
http://dl.free.fr/B4Dd7F/HTC-S730
attached the cabs because the link doesn't work anymore
Russian
Need russian keyboard for S730. Any suggestions/files? Even without xT9...
I've managed to get Danish keyboard and dictionary just fine. One thing though. Before the 6.1 upgrade word-suggestion would suggest words with æøå even if I just wrote eoa. Example: If I wrote "star" it would suggest "står" too.
Any way to get that functionality back? Kinda of character alias function or similar.
Thanks for any input.
I would like to hear if it is possible to get original scandinavian "HTC WINGS S730" Keyboard settings - in a cab - ready to installation, so letters like æ ø å would be listed in their original places, on the HTC keyboard, like fn + arrow right = Å etc.
PS. I had before a working version of the WM6 on a S730 ..
Then i installed 6.1 US English(flashed version) and the danish keyboard layout suddenly disappeared.
Thanks in advance.
1plus1is2, I followed this to re-enable my keyboard.

I never find how to change layout for Microsoft software keyboard but if your rom use EZinput software keyboard, you can change the layout with that:
Go to HKLM\Software\Tegic\et9
Change the value of DefaultLanguage
0109 -> qwerty
010C -> azerty
0107 -> qwertz
There is also 0110 and 010A avalaible but I don't know for which layout it is so you may have to try yourself

Extract chinese font and Imput method

Is is possible to extract the Chinese Font and input method from the Official HKCSL_WWE ROM? (CSL is a phone company in Hong Kong)
I am using the Offcial HKCSL_WWE ROM on my Pure now but I would like to use some nicely customize ROM find here.
The only only problem is I need Chinese. I wish I can put the Chinese font and input method to some cooked ROM.
Thank you for any reply,
From my experience with it so far, not really. The input has not been successfully installed on top of any of the existing cooked roms.
You will have to cook your own rom using HK CSL CHT input. I have not seen any of the cooked roms on here providing the CHT input.
yup...probably like what you said..

These are the cabs I use to get Chinese display on my Topaz. Seems to work fine with the new manila. First, I install the font cab, then without rebooting, install the NLS cab. Then reboot. Sometimes it takes 2 reboots to get working, but so far so good. These cabs only provide support for viewing Chinese, not typing it. You'll need to find something else for that. There are several input methods floating around on xda if u look.
Good Luck
i use ricky 6.5 chinese cab too. [tho i edit the cab and put another font in it, cuz the one ricky had was bold and i didnt want bold ^^;]
heres the procedure i use everytime i flashed a custom [energy] rom::
1. install TF3D2.Chinese.Taiwan_20090917_xmatrix.cab [by xkaiser] to convert most words to chinese. no need to reboot after install. n u will notice most things r displayed as squares now [install this if you want your manila to display in chinese, proceed to #2 if installed, if not installed, no need to do step 2]
2. IMPORTANT copy the files in smsfix.zip to \Windows root folder [this is because the language pack deleted the sms notification files, so if you dont add these files back, you will not receive any sound or vibrate when a new message comes in]
3. install RickyMSYH6.0Full__.cab follow the installation and soft reset when it asks to reset
4. install HTC Rhodium A4 IME V2.8 WVGA.cab [this is a chinese input that im currently using, it was designed for a touchpro2, so the keyboard is pretty much alike as the one we are using. tho... this one doesnt have handwritten input :[ ] this software is in simplifed chinese, but it works fine with typing traditional and hong kong characters
i dont know if installing these cabs will have any side affects though, i have no problem with it. been using them for awhile now, and they work with all the energy roms ive flashed [including the latest topaz 2011 build]
do it on your own risk :]

Thank you both. I wonder if the file(s) provided will work on the latest/newest Sense 2.5 (Manila 2.5.2011.30300) with Leo 2.54? Because the Ricky's MSYahei6 no longer work. In the meantime I do not need chinese input, only need the chinese display/support.

What everyone is saying is that even if you successfully extract the files, you couldn't install them into a cooked ROM. You would need to create your own ROM and add the chinese input when you cook it. I have tried some cabs in XDA that claim to let you use the htc chinese input and fonts, but they never worked for me. In fact they totally screwed up my phone and I had to hard reset.
That being said, you could (potentially) dump the rom you are using, then import it into a kitchen and cook your own custom ROM. There are lots of cooking tutorials on this site if you look around, but be prepared to invest considerable time and energy into the learning process. And to be honest, I think the other viewing and input methods listed in this thread are superior.
Just my 2 cents.

i've been trying not less 100 time of flashing roms with most chinese font and input...i finally found that the Ricky's made "chinese font" solved my display problem on viewing chinese characters

The display problem is very easy to fix. There are many fonts out there that work on Manila. If that's what is being looked for, I think some solutions have already been posted in this thread.
However, if you're trying to get the original HK CSL HTC CHT IME installed, then I am not aware of any solutions yet.

Actually, that is a good idea ^^. I'm going to try dumping and adding. I do have the extracted inputs.

i use ricky 6.5 chinese cab too.
4. install HTC Rhodium A4 IME V2.8 WVGA.cab [this is a chinese input that im currently using, it was designed for a touchpro2, so the keyboard is pretty much alike as the one we are using. tho... this one doesnt have handwritten input :[ ] this software is in simplifed chinese, but it works fine with typing traditional and hong kong characters
i dont know if installing these cabs will have any side affects though, i have no problem with it. been using them for awhile now, and they work with all the energy roms ive flashed [including the latest topaz 2011 build]
do it on your own risk :]
i zipped and upload the files i used

hi can you try to reupload the files as i couldnt download
I have successfully installed this Chinese IME (official ezinput) on the NhatHoa ROM using 23529 and manila 2011 3030. I did first install Chinese fonts and a NLS cab... (u can look for my post earlier in the thread.)
Seems to be working fine so far. Better backup before you try it though. I have heard it cant be uninstalled very easily.

Actually can use both English and Chinese directly with a keyboard button and also by changing sip... working great so far. Also both English and Chinese dictionaries seem to be working ok.
