ATT TILT 8925 Call Waiting Notification No Tone Alert Sound Problem - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I have a ATT 8925 with ATT WM6 ROM no bloatware. SPL 3.56 unlocked ect..
I have noticed I was getting alot of missed calls while im in a call. I tested and realized I dont have at alert tone when someone is calling me while im already in the middle of a conversation. I uninstalled the dialer I added and it didnt seem to help. The phone shows a window indicating a phone call is coming through but no sound.
When Im on bluetooth with the help of Voice Command it will announce the incoming call. However when Im just holding the phone to my ear I will never know who is calling.
What is the issue ? I have done some search and found some threads here about the tone being low or people want to change sound from "tut tut" to whatever.

Anyway i fixed the problem with Registry Editor
Somehow I must have set the Incall/Incall2/Incall3 Attenuation to 0 which silent all notification sounds during a phone call.
Adjusted it to setting 5 and now the call waiting tone is way loud. Never missed a call waiting ever again

Vodafone VPx(Qtek 9090) - Can't Hear/See incoming calls

I've seen a similar thread on here about not being able to hear calls on the Qtek 909 whereby they can hear you but you can't hear them. I have this problem occasionally on my Vodafone VPx and it's very annoying.
More annoying though is the fact that I get no notification, sound, vibration, visual or otherwise, when someone is calling me. I do however get an alert afterwards to let me know that I have missed the call and I have to call them back.
Normally a soft reset will sort the problem out in the short term but normally only until 1 call has been received or volume settings have been changed or any buttons pressed.
Anyone else had similar problems or know of a ROM upgrade for the phone that may fix it? Vodafone currently have no support that I can find for the phone as it is relatively new in the UK.
After reading various problems I think this could be related to a known bluetooth issue. I've upgraded to BT3900 but still get the problem with not being able to hear calls or have them hear me.
Maybe some reading along those lines may help you decide if that's your problem.
The only thing I can think off with regards receiving no alerts could be you call options. I know this sounds basic, but you'd be amazed how often it's something like that we all seem to overlook.
How this gives you some ideas.

No longer receive incoming calls.... any ideas?

My Wizard (G3 running TNT WM6.1) all of a sudden does not receive incoming calls. There was a period for a while where I did receive most calls but would miss one occasionally, for unknown reasons. Now it seems that I miss all calls. I'll be getting 4 bars of reception, can make very clear outgoing calls, but when I test call from another phone, the Wizard never rings at all. If I call in to check voicemail, it will say that I have a few, but no notification ever pops up or ring to tell me I had a missed call or a voicemail.
What should I try to remedy this situation?

# Rings Incoming Calls

Hi,
I have a CDMA Touch from Telus Mobility in Canada.
The issue I am having is # rings with incoming calls.
I am using latest Jawbone Bluetooth headset, when I have an incoming call, I receive 2 rings and calls goes to voice mail.
I have called HTC Support and Telus support, they have no solution.
Is there a setting to modify the number of rings for incoming calls?
dave3211
If you're talking about the number of rings before the voicemail kicks in, yes there is a solution if your phone number is in Alberta or BC.
I dont know what Alberta or BC is...
but on my phone i do it like this...
Start->Settings->click phone->'Services(dono if it's called this, second tab)
There is a list, in that list there should be (again, dono the english word) 'forward to'
click Get Settings...
now u can set the number of secunds before it connects the call to voicemail..
with the intervals 5,10,15,20,25,30 seconds (at least with my phone provider)
hope this helps
thanks nisse thats very helpfull.
by the way forward to is call forwarding.
Excellent!!

3 rings delay in incoming call
Hi,
This might be due to another related issue:
There is delay of 3 rings before the diamond actually starts ringing.
i.e, after the caller has heard 3 rings, only then the diamond starts ringing, and by the time you pick the call, there will be many rings and it will go to answer phone as usual.
As soon as there is an incoming call, the light starts blinking. But there is a delay in the ringer/vibrate. You can try this out by calling from another phone.
This might be cause for your issue.
I too am having the same problem, and I'm searching for a solution. Maybe some cab which fixes the 3 rings dealy in incoming call... I'm sure there must be some such cab. Still going through the threads in the forum.
Could anybody please point us to a fix if you know...
Thks,
Sandeep
I've got the same problem on my touch pro..
It's even worse actually - I'm experimenting, but it seems like half the time the phone *never rings* when wifi is on and if it's asleep...
What the???

I think that he's referring to the 3 second delay built into most phones. On earlier devices this was fixed by changing the polling time in the phone programming. (often referred to as the Slot Cycle Index). I haven't tried it on my Diamond as I haven't noticed that much of a lag.
Since I was thinking about it, I decided to try. I changed my SCI from 2 to 0.
I did look and found that I don't have that "Forward to" option in my phone settings. Probably a provider change.

Please Help... Regarding not receiving or makings calls on Sipgate, GV, SS

I need someone's help real bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here is the scenario:
1. I got everything work just fine with this VOIP phone with Sipgate, Google Voice & Sipsorcery... I got everything working and receiving incoming & outgoing calls with no problems at all.. using Sipdroid as my ATA on my T-Mobile G1
2. now today after like a month when i getting ready to make a outbound call to a store it gives me a beeping noise that replaces the ringer then it never connects and hangs up.
3. now i never changed the settings on sipgate nor did I change the settings on sipsorcery...
4. I never had a problem til today and now i cant receive nor make calls.
5. So i went to sipgate and tried to dial out it said "Error 200 3" or with the pop up messages on the bottom right while signed into sipgate it had a message at the bottom saying "Line 1 Busy".
6. Since then i went into sipgate and erased everything also i did the same in sipsorcery and it didnt change the problem...
7. All im trying to do is make calls again without hearing this beep sound that replaces the ringer and making and receiving calls again...
Can Anyone please help me???? I really need it lol, i am frustrated to the max with this.

In call sound problem

I have in call sound problems.
When I reboot I can sometimes place one call without problems for as long as I want.
Other calls after that I have no sound, can't hear the call tone and other parties can't hear me.
Also incoming calls, i hear the phone ring but when i answer the other party can't hear me and i can't hear the other party.
The settings for sounds in the accessibility menu and noise reduction etc were off and stayed off. (other forum tips)
I also tried numerous factory resets with no avail
Can someone give me a hint how to fix it?
I have stock 4.2.2 International version of the S4 Active.
Baseband I9295XXUBMK2
Build JDQ39.I9295XXUBMK2
Kernel 3.4.0-2015525
Headset
I tried a different option. I can call with my bluetooth headset.
When i switch to speaker the in call sound drops. giong back to headset will not activate in call sound.
Same Here
The same happens to me. Only the bluetooth option works every time. I have tried several firmware and kernel versions and nothing has changed.
There is a workaround that I could find but it is totally impractical: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2371034
In forums for models / ROMs with a lot more users than this one (Nexus / CM) people with 4.2.2-based firmware versions there are many posts describing what could seems to be the exact same problem, which they have been able to fix via baseband updates or custom patches, but that does not really seems to be an option for the S4 Active...

Same problem with my SGS4A. I was on i9295XXUBMK2, tried to update using the phone update option, which rendered my phone unusable. Flashed new stock ROM i9295XXUBMK3, now I can use the phone, although sound problem persists.
Making a call: reboot, call
Receiving a call: answer, hang-up, reboot, call back
Anyone with 4.3 that has this problem on SGS3, SGS4 or SGS4A?
Edit 21.8.2014
I had the speaker changed last week and so far no problems. I am slowly getting confident that I can rely on S4A as a phone also, not just tiny surf tablet.
I have same phone, never got this pb. However I got some SD card issues after updating to KitKat...
Partial solution... for me at least
Hi guys ,
having same issue, disabling 4G option solves my problem. But it-s impractic cause I want to use the 4g... in a huawei phone I solved same issue by disabling an option of "mobile data always on"
Don't know how it's related...
Same issue for me. I made lots of research with no results. Nobody knows...
same problem here with no solution yet

same problem with in call and out call .... searched a lot about solution and no solution yet
I had a similar issue with bluetooth calls. First call would be fine, but after that I couldn't hear the other person on the line and they couldn't hear me. It turned out to be some kind of incompatibility with the Google "OK Google" detection with Galaxy S4-based phones. If I disabled it from detecting "From any screen", this seemed to correct the problem. However the setting might return on application updates. I would recommend trying that and see if it makes a difference. If it's not that, then I don't really know how to help you. I moved on from that phone over a year ago and have been happier ever since.
