Just curious to know, Opal VIVA, is it a TF3D or TF2D. coz i heard it already have a 3DManila. and i've tried to install a TF3D theme but it cannot work. I'm confuse

By the way what is the benefit in TF3D? I mean what is the difference? How much space it need?

emmm the diffrent btween 2d and 3d i guess the graphic .... the 3d little bit more than 2d in space and the 3d take more of the processor speed
and about install it you can find it in Hacking and Development section under name Manilla 3D i guess but i recommend you stay on the orginal one

Ok... used the search to try and find the latest version number for TF3D and it brought up hundreds of listings - I guess its been spoken of often
So to repeat...
How does one get the latest version and install it to improve the Diamond ? yeche you say you found it ... where ?
Or are sushi's themes the latest real Diamond ones ?

I would like to know this too? My TouchFlo 3D is only v 1.0.1630.23. Can I put v3 or 3.8 on somehow without reflashing?
Edit. OK I see now that TouchFLO 3D version gets reported differently depending on where I look. If I look in TFL3D > Settings > About I see
TouchFlo 3D 1.0.1630.23
If I look in WM6.1 Settings TouchFLo I see v 3.0 (build 29946). I think I am confusing TouchFLO 3D with TouchFLO. That aside can I update either without reflashing.?
Hi guys. I'm new here, so please forgive me for n00b questions.
Got Diamond few weeks ago, but I just cant work with stupid TouchFLO3D. It just tooo slow for me (even with speed tweaks) and eats too much RAM. Is there any way to uninstall TouchFLO 3D and install TouchFLO from Touch or Touch Dual, which is faster. Or just uninstall TF3D and leave default WinMobile view?

you can uncheck tf3d from your today settings or you can download at clean or light version of some roms. they are stripped of tf3d.

About flashing roms. Main problem is that I have russian version of ROM, and I dont know, will english roms compatible with my diamond, so i ned the way to save my rom b4 flashing.

sorry in advance... i'm new to this, i'm sure it's in the forum somewhere but i've looked everwhere but i can't find it. i'm looking for software that i can install in my phone that would make my homescreen look like this(pic below) without flashing my ROM. i had the same software for my 8525 when i had it but it got stolen.

While Nandowong is correct, it is well known that actually using a rom with Manilla 2d cooked into is actually much more responsive. If you install the cab file it may act too laggy for your liking. I use 2D now from Laurentius26 Here and It is much faster than when i was experimenting with my own cooked ROM. There are things Chefs have done to optimize Manilla in a clean rom.
Just my advise, but I would back up your info and flash an actual M2D rom. There are a few to choose from and I am sure once you go to Manilla you will never again want to use any other home screen

a OEM is about 200MB...u wan a cab that is 200MB???? do u realize how long it will take???? and then how slow ur system will become????
there are CHT roms here. and vedio tutorial on how to hardSPL and flash.....use them.

I mean the cab of TF3D in rhodium 1.19, should be a few m in size...
forget CHT rom, it has problem with simplified Chinese imput and the Traditional Chinese terms seem strange to CHS users. I prefer English rom.
to be frank, I am using your rom of 1.7 version. it's quick and stable, but I dislike the TF3D changes you made. (I like the original one), so I am trying to find one and replace the changes...

But it is not just a matter of "making the CAB out of the PACKAGES"

BTW I don't like Manila, I prefer titanium + panels over manila,

Manila or Titanium are somewhat the same to me, though Manila is more familiar, for I used Diamond for a while and then X1, while at the same time used itje's roms for quite a long time... haha...he is Manila master.
Another one in Manila that I miss most is the weather tab. Try many different applications, no match.
so when I use wm6.5 rom, I would definitely install Manila too...

its just a skin n some may not like it.....but hey....i posted a default background , highlights, slider .. everything that i changed!!!!!!

I need your help/opinions about SE x1 windows mobile 6.1 because i'am just new at this phone so i have many things to learn.. i saw some amazingly cool applications here but not worked at my phone properly like EzInput keyboard, i like that application but it doesn't work right, it appears small on screen,, can someone help me? thank's in advance..

EZinput probably doesnt work because you need the WVGA version of it. Your phone screen has a WVGA resolution.
SPL and ROM, you can go to the Xperia X1 HardSPL thread and find more information about it.
I dont think theres any "best" version of windows or TouchFlo3D because they all have their pro and cons. You can just try it by yourself and see which one you like the most.
TouchFlo3D and SBP shell have nothing to do with each other. They both change your today screen though. You wouldnt need a ROM change/update if the software you're trying to install is compatible with your current one. Judging from what you said, your current ROM is running Windows Mobile 6.1. So you should be looking for WinMo 6.1 applications that are compatible with your WVGA resolution.
thanks XtriFe for answering it, i saw some touchflo 3d but forgot the version, in the instructions for installing, one of it say's change the SIP something, what is that SIP or SIP selector..? thanks again
The easiest way to get Touch Flo on the X1 is to flash a new ROM with TouchFlo. There are helpful tutorials on the ROM development section on how to download and flash custom ROMs.
SIP can stand for 2 things, either as Soft Input Panel, meaning input apps like the onscreen keyboard and handwriting recognition, or Seesion Initiation Protocol, usually in connection with VOIP programs. For your question, it's most probably referring to the first one.
SPB mobile shell is an app to customize the toda screen, and there are versions of it that make our Today screen look like the TouchFlo interface, but you're not limited to TouchFlo (see Windows Mobile Development and Hacking>Themes for SPB MS themes/layouts)
