Hi
i was wondering if any one knows how to change the default location of the file storage from the device memory to the storage card for the app footprints,
also if the new version tomtom7 9.15 will pick this up if you change the location of footprints picture file storage.
thanks
did you work this out - anyone ?
?.?.?
Hell, I'd be satisfied with a version of Footprints that works on a Stock Kaiser ROM.
Hi.
I did the following to get Footprint to work with TomTom 7
1. On yout phone rename CoPilot to CoPilot_
2. Copy and paste (on notebook or PC) Tomtom navigator folder on your phone to same folder as CoPilot_ on your phone
3. Rename Tomtom navigator folder to CoPilot
4. On your phone, in the newly created directory CoPilot rename Navigator, exe to CoPilot.exe
restart and shpuld work just fine (did by me)
good luck!

Hi, just to answer your first question: Had the same idea to do so on my htc hd2.
Change the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\FootCam\Ipc\SaveLocation from 0 to 1 in your mobile registry. Files will be stored on storage card after a reboot
in my german localized version the file location now is '\Speicherkarte\DCIM\100MEDIA'
anyway: you will find out the location where files are stored after taking a picture and looking into the key 'SecondCapturePath' afterwards (don't forget to refresh your registry browser by pressing [F5] or so)
Thanks
Thanks for this tips ;-)
It's just what i'm looking for (works on HD2)

Hello,
There have been several people asking how TomTom (provided in HTC support site) can be installed into SD card storage instead of phone memory.
If anybody have succeeded to do that please post your answer into this thread. I am also working to find out if this can be done. If there is already a solution, please share your knowledge!
Or at least the voices directory?
This is what I've done:
Install Tom Tom via Active sync in P3600 memory
With file explorer move the directory Navigator (located under Programs directory of your device) to the Programs directory in SD Card
Tap and hold on TomTom Navigator.exe (under SD Card\Programs\Navigators) and select copy
Go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs and paste the link to TomTom (tap and hold)
Now You have two links to TomTom: remove the old one
Start TomTom from Programs Menu, wait for fix et voilĂ .....
Bye
Marco
Why would you even want this thing? It's a demo! It can only load on city map, nothing else in it as far as I can see?

Yes, Marco is right. I moved my Navigator directory to my miniSD card and saved over 5 meg of storage memory on my Trinity. TomTom works fine from my miniSD.
Hi,
Every time my Kaiser boots, directly Tomtom boots. That's very anoying, it's not in startup folder, tomtom is installed on sd.
any ideas?
Thanx
You'll find a directory on the root of your SD card '2577'
Copy this to your PC (you will need to replace it if ever you need to re-install) and then delete it.
It's for when you first put in the card but for some reason does not de-activate.
@Farsquidge
Thanx it worked, so happy now!
When I delete 2577 folder and start up tomtom again it cant find my maps...its very strange like that...any ideas?
That's very strange.
Have you actually installed the SW or are you just running the App from the SD card?
I think a better option for not having tomtom automatically start at boot up is to simply remove the autorun.exe file from the 2577 folder and leave everything else there. Did it right after buying my Tilt and haven't had the auto start problem since.
I have it installed to the phone...I dont know why the 2577 folder is so important.....??.....

When I remove that file, or any file for that matter in the 2577 folder it either still auto starts or says cannot find maps, what is the deal. Also when i boot the phone it also tries to install tomtom all over while the program starts too, I have to wait like 5 minutes for phone to becoem responsive to touch or buttons.

The 2577 directory is an autorun directory which means any program called autorun.exe inside will run as soon as the SD card is put into the device. Usually is used by GPS software for installation of its files.
just rename the 2577 file (e.g. call it 2577-ttn) and this should fix the auto-run problem. If you then want to change it back to autorun, just rename it 2577 again.

it says maps not found when you do that. anything I change or remove in the 2577 folder makes tom tom say no maps found, why does it need auto run for the maps??????????

Make sure the "ttnavigator.bif" file is under "\Storage Card\". Copy it from "\(Storage Card\)Program Files\navigator" directory if it's not there. Otherwise I have no idea.
Hi there.
I have a folder 2577 containing 2 files autorun.exe and autorun.nnp
also i have igo dir where maps and other data is located.
When trying to run autorun.exe it says a newer version of program is installed on the card. What are directories where such files could be?
Maybe there is some short tutorial on how to install igo navigator?
phone tytn II
Thanks for suggestions
I think IGo will install on the device per default (\Program Files\iGO8\). The data is still located on your sd-card. Or look in the registry HKLM\Software\iGO8\. If there is an entry, try to delete it.
yes, thanks.
but know is another problem: it cannot locate languages files...
maybe someone could provide a tree how files should be stored
know i have program files/igo8/content/lang/ and here are my files but when starting i get initialiazation eror no language files were found
heh finally after formating micro card it works.
however in igo it says that gps receiver is connected but no signal is shown.
Has anybody idea why it could be so?
Another issue i don't know why, but every time i get in external gps->gps hardware port and change it as i need it gets lost.
as if i would set that data... maybe someone had such problem?
TomTom auto starts everytime I unplug my diamond from an usb connection. It only takes a few button presses to exit out of TT but it gets annoying after a while.
Any ideas
Which version are you using, It use to happen I think with version number 5.21 because that version have got the "Autorun" file in the installation folder and whenever you dissconnect your device, the device recognise the extra memory as it is just plugged-in.
Sid
I am running TT6 (which came with the phone) and ROM 1.93.831.1 but it was doing it with the previous ROM version as well.
delete the 2577 folder on your internal storage/where ever else it maybe and this should stop it.
man you really should use the forum search.
Its "autorunning" everytime you unplug usb as it sees the memory card again and autoruns. Follow the advice in the previous post and please use the search next time.
Addicteddddd - Thanks, I will try that
Monty - I searched under Tom Tom and auto Start and could not find what I was looking for.
As I said, follow the post above (Addicteds). In directory 2577 on the Internal Store you should find directory \2577\autorun. Delete this file.
Doesn't work for TT7
TomTom loads evrytime I soft reset. I'm using TT7 so is it possible to disable autorun for TomTom 7 as there is no 2577 folder?

Check if there's anything in \Windows\StartUp ?
autorun
i know this is a old post but i have the same on my thd with autorun when i remove my sd card
best way I found to deal with this is just go to the sd card into folder 2577 and just rename the files in that folder or rename the folder.
that way if you do need it at any time you can just rename it.
and you have your autorun back.
Hi all,
I had TomTom UK and Ireland working on my HTC one and before upgrading to 4.2.2 i took a copy of everything on my phone so i knew where to put the folders after the update, eg ringtones etc...
Since the update and moving the TomTom folder back TomTom doesn't pick up the maps, i have tried it in the TomTom folder on the root, putting the com.tomtom.ukireland folder on the root and i have tried putting both of these folders under android>data and the app doesn't see the maps.
Any ideas where this folder should live now?
Rich

They probably need to update the app to use the new folder structure

Still doesn't work for me with my HTC One Mini (Android 4.2.2).
The only difference is that I'm using Mac OS X, so I'm unable to navigate to .metadata.xml. Instead I check it before I upload it to the device (and there's exactly sdcard). After first launch I reupload .metadata.xml, which again contains correct sdcard name. Still does not work.
What am I doing wrong?

Same issue for me, but I'm on PC. It's outrageous that TomTom has taken this long to fix the problem. It's not like they're an inexpensive application. It's really pissing me off that I spent $40 on the USA version and was only able to use it for six months before we HTC One users get hosed by an OTA update that breaks our software.
